I finally got a talking marine tonight & completed my Joe talkers including Astronaut.I started opening them,repairing,replacing strings & love the hobby.Regarding the color on the string,I've never found it to be accurate & my Joe's keep saying the same darn thing as yours did.It kind of works better if you pull it out all the way,let it retract slightly,& tug it downward slightly. He'll usually go thru all of his phrases at that point.& yes, the previous poster was a knob lol! Nice Joe's dude!
eBay! I have pretty much every Joe ever made 'Complete' from the very first thru Adventure Teams with most every vehicle, headquarters set complete etc.Took me about a decade.One of my nice one's is the Japanese SOTW. Complete & I saw one go for around $250 bucks on ebay a week ago.With our poor economy Joe/weapons/accessories are lower than I've ever seen them over the years now so if you want to start collecting, this year is a good cheap year to start! I'm having a hard time selling stuff!
I remember seeing one of those in a charity shop, I was maybe five at the time so this was 2003-2004, I remember seeing the tag and the hole and pulling the string, it actually worked but I was too little to actually understand what it was saying so idk what force it was but I loved playing with it in the store, I remember it being super floppy tho because it was pretty old unfortunately my mother wouldn’t let me take it home, I really wish I was able to tho because it was a lot of fun
The 1967 original talking GI Joe's are still waiting to join our collection. We have the G.I. Joe Collectors Club Lost Talker Action Soldier and Lost Talker G.I. Joe Talking Action Marine reproductions from 2008 2009ish. A original talking astronaut is also on the list.
I have the sailor in the box with all the papers, he talks and is un-played with. He is in excellent condition and so is everything that comes with him, he has everything , the paper work, comic book, neck tie, both out fits, instructions, stickers, gun, hat, Navy Manual, contact me if you are interested in him, I am putting him up for sale on Esty as of 2-24-14 I would love to see a serious collector get him. 1967 box the talking Joe is dated 1964 on his bum and he talks a little bit fast, you can still clearly understand what he is saying, sound off, G.I. Joe reporting for duty and more.
Army Arkensole if you’re lucky the string just got twisted up on the spool. Easy fix. But if the coil spring came undone you’ll likely have to have a experienced repair person make the repair. @@inspector6262GIJoes I didnt see this comment and didnt think you'd reply but we did get it unjammed but sadly it got jammed again and this time the metal coil actually over lapped onto the tape and ripped it and started looping in on itself outside of the talker box at least that's what I think happened.
