This was a time when people - even when pushed to the limit - could shake hands (as he did) and just laugh it away. Nowadays someone caught as he was would sue for phony PTSD.
Couldn’t make a program like this nowadays, the modern lot are to sensitive and would get a lawyer for stress and hurt feelings etc etc. shame really a bit of poking fun at someone’s expense was ment as just a bit of fun.
What a great show, the way he shook hands & apologised at the end was heartwarming
