    I’ve just started using one and I’m very pleased with it my previous one was a Wahoo bolt which was fine but wanted a reasonably priced upgrade thanks for your review

      That's great to hear - hopefully you enjoy it. The Bryton has all the features you should ever need. I'd recommend buying their Sport Mount which is an aluminum out-front mount for a cleaner installation or any other out-front mount with the Bryton adapter.

      @@TheSweetCyclists I’m very happy with it so far about four weeks in. Just like with everything it takes a few weeks to properly rate and this computer is amazing, very comparable to the garmin 800. The screen is not the brightest in auto mode but I will say that the touch screen is exceptional imo. The only negatives I have run into are the zoom in and out functions on maps seems outdated, but it works, also the route re-routing is not as good as I remember my wahoo being.. I like that you can lock the screen and set timed notifications plus screen configuration is so easy like the wahoos too. I’d recommend this to any serious cyclist out there!

    Hello, thank you for your video.
    I watched it as well as the S500 and I hesitate between these two models. What is the best choice for you to ride a mountain bike?
    Thanks in advance.

      @TheSweetCyclists  2 місяці тому +1

      No problem. Personally, I like the 750 SE over the S500 as the screen feels larger and it's easier to read. You get nearly the same features for both, so the 750 SE is the better value.

    In what order would you rank the Bryton S500, S800, and 750SE? I'm leaning towards the 750SE, but am open to suggestions.

    • @TheSweetCyclists
      @TheSweetCyclists  8 місяців тому

      Personally, I really like the S800 for the large size. It has all the same features, but a very large screen. Otherwise, the 750SE is nicer than the S500 in my opinion.

    Does it have music controls/ phone texts notifications?

    • @TheSweetCyclists
      @TheSweetCyclists  2 місяці тому

      There are no music controls, but you can enable phone notifications on most of the Bryton computers. The feature can be enabled by connecting to the app and setting "notifications" on.

    I don't know if you can answer. But the display changes automatically when the climb starts? or is it manual? Thanks for your video, very useful!

    • @TheSweetCyclists
      @TheSweetCyclists  8 місяців тому

      You can actually set the Climb Challenge to automatically display at the start of a climb or manually navigate it. Bryton's how-to video shows how to access it here - ua-cam.com/video/TxqiDVSMhVA/v-deo.htmlsi=HeVmOhAsrQiozyYR&t=181

      "Climb Challenge" works "free ride" or during planned ride only?

    • @TheSweetCyclists
      @TheSweetCyclists  7 місяців тому +1

      The climb features only work with planned routes. Some of the newer Garmin / Wahoo computers do offer a free-ride variation of the climb challenge whichuse your current route to display pre-loaded climb information.@@mariolignini1512

    igps over bryton features/value wise?

    • @TheSweetCyclists
      @TheSweetCyclists  4 місяці тому +2

      That's a good question. I think the Bryton Rider 750 SE is a more polished and refined product than the iGPSPORT computers. Bryton's app has a sleeker design and the navigation on the Bryton is reliable and intuitive. The iGSPORT is a tier below that but offers more affordable pricing and it is still well designed. The Bryton is worth the extra money if navigation and a more polished experience are important to you. Otherwise, pocket the $100 difference and get the iGSPORT BSC300.

    This one or the igs630? Thanks

    • @TheSweetCyclists
      @TheSweetCyclists  Рік тому

      Personally, I prefer the Bryton Rider map view and navigation prompts over the iGPSPORT iGS630. The iGPSPORT only shows an arrow and distance while Bryton shows a graphic of the intersection.

    whats better this or the S500??

    • @TheSweetCyclists
      @TheSweetCyclists  4 місяці тому +1

      With this latest version, the S500 / S800 and Bryton Rider 750 SE look and feel very similar. I actually like the 750 SE more than the S500 because of the screen size, the S500 feels a bit cramped.

    Does it have a loop features?

    • @TheSweetCyclists
      @TheSweetCyclists  2 місяці тому

      I'm not sure what you mean by a "loop" feature. If you mean a "lap" function which lets you track metrics over an interval of time then yes, the Bryton has that feature as well as "lap" metric pages to display your last lap data.

    • @ahendrad1
      @ahendrad1 2 місяці тому +1

      @@TheSweetCyclists that is, a lap function. I don't see a lap button on 750SE, is it can be done manually and how?

    • @TheSweetCyclists
      @TheSweetCyclists  2 місяці тому

      @@ahendrad1 Actually you are correct, the 750 SE has no lap button or lap metric displays. The Bryton 750 had a dedicated lap button and display. You may want to consider the Bryton S500 which does have the lap functionality.

    I had an original 750, which I liked. But then it bricked itself during a firmware update, and I swore never to buy another Bryton as a result. I now use a Garmin Edge Explore 2 which is better in almost every way.

    • @TheSweetCyclists
      @TheSweetCyclists  Рік тому

      Garmin definitely has a better software infrastructure than Bryton with more developers and features. Bryton's software keeps getting better though with more stability and cleaner designs.

    Bryton computers all suffer from the same bug, where the onboard temperatures will not show anything below 0°C.
    I have had 4 different Bryton computers which I used on my MTB. I like to go night riding, particularly in the colder winter months. As soon as the temperature drops below freezing, it dashes out on the computer. I reported this to Bryton, with pictures and videos, multiple times, but Bryton simply do not respond.
    I had a couple of other issues with them as well.. again, I sent reports to Bryton, and they never once replied to an email.
    I couldn't recommend them as their customer service is one of the worst I have come across.

    • @TheSweetCyclists
      @TheSweetCyclists  Рік тому

      Sorry to hear about those issues. They are a smaller company but have been responsive for customer service requests for simpler issues. I'm impressed you are riding in freezing temperatures though - I just rode in 42 F weather and even that is not fun.

      I've had my Bryton for a bit over 3 years nnow, and in that time I've sent around 3 support tickets to them. I have not gotten a single response back from them...other than the auto-response regarding the ticket.

    Is this or Garmin Explore 2 better for mountain biking navigation?

    • @TheSweetCyclists
      @TheSweetCyclists  8 місяців тому +2

      I haven't used the Explore 2 specifically to make any direct comparisons, but based on the price and specs the Bryton is always a better deal. You won't have as many features or integration as the Garmin computer, so I would look through the Garmin features and see if those are things you would actually use.

  • @SuburbaniteUrbanite

    These are bad because in order to get live GPS readout you NEED to have it connected to your phone. At that point you might as well use your phone for GPS

    • @TheSweetCyclists
      @TheSweetCyclists  9 місяців тому +1

      For most of the mapping and navigation features the map is stored on the device so you don't need the app connected. I believe only some of the voice or re-routing features may require an active app connection.

    • @Woutoro32
      @Woutoro32 9 місяців тому +1

      750se can work alone when you synced your route. With rerouting, only when you want to start a new route or want to use voice, then the connection to your phone is needed.

    • @TheSweetCyclists
      @TheSweetCyclists  5 місяців тому +1

      Was there something you didn't like about the 750 SE? Bryton doesn't have all the features of a Garmin but it's quite a bit more affordable.
