Rhodes is beautiful and Lindos has to be one of my most favourite places, my sister was due to marry there last summer cancelled due to covid! I have visited Rhodes three times and will make that four when my sis marries there next summer!
Michalis the violin player was better known as Casanova and he told us he had a small part in the movie, “The Guns of Navarone”. I worked on the boat Triton featured in this programme and every day I had to remind myself I was actually getting paid to do it. I lived and worked in Rhodes, the home of Helios not Apollo, in the 1990’s. Forever in my heart is my love for Greece.
In the old days, oh even in the 1980's from memory, certain people would say to me, "Well, you don't need to be a Rhodes scholar to understand that.. (insert the issue you didn't understand, here). I was a little disappointed that this video didn't show the place where you did actually have to be a Rhodes scholar.
They don’t make travel shows like that anymore, shame. Lindos is the most beautiful & peaceful place I’ve been & i’ve holidayed a fair deal.

Greece in the 80s, wonderful. I had five island holidays but never on Rhodes. Happy days.

Actually I was on Rhodes July 1981 , I was 11 years of age
In greek mythology it was Helios, not Apollo who claimed the island.
Rhodes in the 80s was amazing. Commercialisation ruined it a bit, still a fantastic place
