I completely agree that Pope is the best bassist for this band. Pattitucci is great, but Pope's electric playing swings so hard and his grooves remind me of Anthony Jackson which not many bassists emulate for some unknown reason. Plus his solos are just blazing. Mike Pope is atcually becoming my favorite bassist under 40.
I bet they all sold their souls to the devil, so they can be on earth studing their instruments without being bothered by their wifes, kids, dogs...and they have a personal slave to give them food while they´re playing too - I haven´t even mentioned the fact that they can stop the time - so they can stud 3 days - but to everyone else it has passed only 3 minutes. That´s my theory about -" how can someone play like Frank Gambale". God Bless
