UPI is just P2P payment . P2P payment has existed for decades and is widespread in Asia. P2P is based on open source so it cannot be patented Learn what the concept of open source means. In fact UPI is based on the payment system in China and Singapore when many Indian work in Singapore . Indians don't know much about general knowledge outside of India. Ever heard of Union Pay? US accepting UPI simply because there's 1.4 billion people and the Indian market is a huge customer base. There's nothing groundbreaking about UPI,it's just copy paste of existing payment system. Like how Ola is copy paste Uber. Or Flipkart copy paste Amazon.

How digital payment is indian technology??? This technology has root in USA back in 1870
No one amazed, this kind of payment spread in Western countries almost 20 to 30 years ago. They only amazed with those sabzis and tubers are on the same level as their feet, yet the stall uses digital payment.
It is really not as big of a deal as people make it out to be. You could do the same thing with credit cards 25 years ago all over the world with just a couple extra steps. The foreigners are only surprised that people without toilets are able to do it.
