I love the fact that missing a peanut and dying while the peanut is still onscreen causes the script to freak out and makes you stuck in an infinite death loop.
I guess this could be considered "Real Vampire Mode" with how much blood you need to stay alive. Also I think this is the most scared I've ever seen anyone while playing this game, so that's pretty cool
Nah I was pretty damn tense during my fist only run of minotaur and werewolf I never wanna do that again my god Especially cause I was at lvl 12 during it
"A spell that most people only do on accident: Dark Metaphasis." I used that spell all the time because I like sustainability and BloodBorne. Also no, I never used it on accident. I could barely do it on purpose (stupid d-pad).
The fact that it takes a mod this insane to even remotely slow DB down shows how next level his skill really is. Pretty sure that's only slightly worse total time than a casual player.
This randomly showed up on my UA-cam feed and earned you a new subscriber. I don't think I have the courage to try this mod myself-- unless there's one that's only 1 or 2% per tick, maybe...?
That was def an entertaining run lol. Fun content as always. Prob a good place to mention my experience with the Ring of Varda dropping. I pretty much tested years ago on 360 and ps4 versions that the ring doesn't drop unless the file is marked as cleared. Several hours of grinding and thousands of kills and it never dropped. Even though I've gotten them in the past easily, but on an already cleared file. So after clearing the game, I went back and ended up getting a bunch of them within a few minutes. Might be a well known thing, but figured to put it out there just incase o/
it's seriously so funny that the game butt-fucks you early on with lagging, but you using i-frames to make a potion actually go through is truly a "butt-fuck it right back" moment, only for the game to turn it right back around
thank you for inspiring a character for a story i'm writing: "a character who manages to convince death to train him in running. basically, he runs until he dies of exhaustion, death brings him back, and he does it again over and over and over". still a work in progress.
Oh, so that’s how Dark Metamorphosis works. I actually used it on purpose a few times in my first successful SotN run recently, usually when I was desperate for heals, but it wasn’t very consistent. Key thing to note: using it while fighting enemies that have no blood is worthless.
Man this mod of SOTN reminds me of Doom 3 on Nightmare difficulty you lose a certain mount of health per second. I am sure other modern Doom games have this but Doom3 was the game that came to mind. Man this made such an easy game to beat into a torture fest.
Surprisingly, ONLY Doom 3 has that in Nightmare difficulty. Doom and Doom II have respawning enemies, fast enemies(always attack if the player is visible) and double ammo. Doom 2016 increases enemy damage by 90% Doom Eternal also turns enemy damage up to a brutal amount and makes monsters more aggressive.
@@SyRose901 Yeah I knew about Doom and Doom2 on Nightmare having respawning enemies. Interesting that 2016 and Doom Eternal both buff up the monsters either with dmg or health.
Omg the peanut is actually useful! I've tried using it so many times with it just falling to the floor that I deemed it useless and stop trying in subsequent playthroughs.
For the fairy familiar, I’m guessing it has to be on-screen to help you. That makes going too much faster than them makes them stop doing anything until they catch up.
this is actually looking like a really fun challenge i almost wanna like legimately route this but i am not even good enough to consider it . Maaaaaaaaaaaan
HEY! I expected a spike breaker armor for silver ring if you're going glitchless! But really, TY for the run, your narration makes it really fun to watch and I guess this is my new favorite challenge run
40:10 I am wondering if you can equip e.g. Bat or Demon Card and let the familiar kill Dracula for you while you're constantly dying because of that death bug.
U know how when Soma beats a monster it's chunks fall on the floor and engulf in flames? Alucard bursting into a huge explosion of blue flame gives me the same vibe, I know they've both met but still lore maybe?
If there's one thing I wish I could do with SOTN, would be to map a certain button to select a spell (L Trigger, for example) and another button to use the spell. It's a bit like the mobile port, which is my only way to play SOTN since I haven't gotten around to using an emulator.
I do these challenges live all the time on my twitch channel: twitch.tv/dr4gonblitz
Mourneblade sends regards.
Its really funny imagining Alucard desesparly throwing peanuts up in the air trying to catch em while bleding out non-stop
Why does he throw the peanut up SO HIGH 😂
@@rakino4418Being any part vampire means that everything you do has to be extra
You have been doomed ever since you lost the ability to throw peanuts in the air and catch them in your mouth.

"A spell that most people only do on accident: Dark Metaphasis."

Alucard just rushing into the shop shouting “GIVE ME POITON” before just disintegrating the next second floored me 14:00
I bet I could beat this challenge FASTER!
do it you won't
I wanna see a race then, you against the man in the video. Don't chicken out.
You evil man 😮
You could. 0.01 seconds faster or 0.001 seconds...maybe 0.0001 seconds
I don't understand why he doesn't just go faster.
This reminded me so much to the movie Crank, it's insane lol
"i fcken died in front of him and he was like, "heehee, thank you!""
The mirrored statue footage always gets me. Dunkin deez nutz is just a GOATed shirt. 30:45 that was a really saucy move, holy sh...
A vampire having consistent blood loss? Whatever Alucard had for breakfast gave him diarrhea
“You mist it” 😂😂😂😂
Get that man a freaking medal bruh.
The fact that it takes a mod this insane to even remotely slow DB down shows how next level his skill really is. Pretty sure that's only slightly worse total time than a casual player.
Alucard: AHHHH AHHHH AHHHH AHHHH AHHHH
That repeated death sound is damn hilarious
The peanuts are bugged. THE PEANUTS ARE BUGGED!
"25 seconds is too hard. You won't survive."
I'm pretty good at the game...
"Source?!?"
The money bag montage sequence 😂 Great video!
Dont think I ever cast the blood healing spell, so glad to see it be needed ever
It's useful in blind runs where you have no idea where the nearest save room is and need healing.
My head hurts watching this bro
Super GG 👍
Holy shit, a real challenge for you! (I mean, you’re #1 on SotN on nearly every category, so this mod had to break you 😂)
Good to see you conquer it!
I remember watching this live
This mode makes a piece of chicken more important than Power of Sire, Duplicator and Max Muramasa combined.
HP Max: Alucard slowly bleeding to death. HP 0: Becomes water.
I seriously have watched this like 10 times already. That slowed down death at the beginning is just comedy perfection.
This randomly showed up on my UA-cam feed and earned you a new subscriber. I don't think I have the courage to try this mod myself-- unless there's one that's only 1 or 2% per tick, maybe...?
One of the funniest challenges since 16:26. Congrats man
Nice hat, super smooth transitions, pacing is natural with great tempo, and the visual effects are relevant and fun. I love the humor also.
Wish I would have caught this one live, such a cool challenge and way harder than it sounded initially.
This was a nerve-wracking challenge to watch. GGs on the dub.
Change the title for: This BROKEN Castlevania Mod Forces You to SPEEDRUN!
This was painful to watch!
2:00 I like the way he flexed how good he is in this game

I don't think I've ever laughed this hard at a speedrun. Bravo!
15:55 - Cant stop laughing!
20:27 Alucard has a peanut allergy RIP :(
it's seriously so funny that the game butt-fucks you early on with lagging, but you using i-frames to make a potion actually go through is truly a "butt-fuck it right back" moment, only for the game to turn it right back around
This was great. What a "fun" challenge...I'm never doing this though.
now this is god damn content
What happened next:
*Alucard:* Trouble the soul of my- *AUEGH!!!* *AUEGH!!!* *AUEGH!!!*
I feel like I am dying a little more every second. Nice vid mang.
So it's basically SotN with a sort of PS2 Shinobi crossover.
Loving the long form video - good use of the twitch footage
Man, that is really hard.
My favorite moment:
0:43
2:30
Mine is 36:05
The biggest LOL came when you died as you beamed into the library😂😂
I'm a mature adult that laughed wayyy too hard that the CD room edit
That was intense lol

I am very impressed, that took more patience and skill than most have. I wouldn't have thought it possible if I hadn't watched it myself. Congrats
The Legacy of Kain but it's a good game.
That was a fun run considering it actually have you a challenge
This IS my favorite thing Dragonblitz has EVER attempted period!

9:53 Hahahahahah love how the energy is swirling around the air over dead Alucards bloody remains XD
fantastic video, well edited and paced and thrilling till the very end. Loved it !

This one was thrilling and exciting
Very cool vid, Dr4gonBlitz. I got to watch this live and it was amazing
i watched the full run and this one. both were great in their own ways. thanks for all the laughs. lol.
laugh my tookus off! ty DB
What a fun video to watch! Thank you DB. You made me laugh a lot!!!
This is WILD! I love these kind of challenges. 🔥
now do it on luck mode
I never played this romhack, however that is definitely impossible with the lowered stats.

NICE HAT!
Lol this is the most entertaining video you’ve done! I’ve never seen you trip out like this lol
Amazing vid as aways
This was A LOT more eventful than I thought! lol great run!
That was nutty. Great job.
this is just pure awsome content brother
Love the way you edited the video - GGs and MY PEANUTS!!
This is more the 'death actually has it out for you' mode.
Nice hat bro
Content Lord Dr4gonBlitz
Nice hat
What an absolute legend, fantastic run.

You deserve a sub for this holy shit what a run so much times you was at 1 hp in the save room
take a shot every time Blitz dies before a save room
I thought I could play castlevania but this would be impossible to me!! This video was awesome. Can't wait to see more!!
You do realize this is basically Castlevania: Post Void, right?
U know how when Soma beats a monster it's chunks fall on the floor and engulf in flames? Alucard bursting into a huge explosion of blue flame gives me the same vibe, I know they've both met but still lore maybe?
HOW DOES HE MAKE SUCH GOOD CONTENT

Who could have foreseen the fairy not being prohrammed to deal with health degeneration XD
That peanut death tough...
Complete fail without Gallamoth. Joking. That was nice and fun. Thanks.
