And I think it might have been from Hans' own attempt at getting back to the world of the living. But somewhere along the way, he found out that only one person could escape that place - so he sacrificed his chance at living so his sister could go on, effectively cutting his tree down.

I don't think you can make a one and a half hour movie out of 10 minutes worth of cutscenes, but one can still easily make it 20 minutes, inserting some musical scenes of Deemo playing the piano, scenes that weren't made into cutscenes (the telescope scene for example) etc. But honestly, just watching these 10 minutes of cutscenes can give you enough. I, for one, showed this video to one of my friends and he enjoyed it, not even knowing that these are cutscenes from a game :D
This comment is to clear up some misunderstandings that i've been seeing in the comments ; please feel free to ask me any questions if you don't understand a part of the story! **I researched the storyline** - 1. When Alice falls from the window, shes 'falling' into a coma. 2. I've heard that Alice's brother Hans may have cut down his own tree so that Alice can grow her own (You can see in the video that Alice's tree is growing on a stump) 3. The Masked Lady was Alice's conscience, telling her to stay in a coma forever to be with her brother. Whe she was tugging Alice's sleeve, she was trying to tell her that Deemo was Hans. 4. Deemo had been Alice's imagination, depicting her brother. 5. ^ He might have also been Hans himself in her coma. 6. In the end, Hans dissapeared after saying a proper goodbye. 7. Alice woke up crying because she knew that her imaginary world was gone forever.
the story is pretty clear, idk how anyone could misinterpret it: Alice and Hans were out and about (running errands, going somewhere, etc), but, while they were crossing the street, a truck/bus driver lost control or couldnt see them and, since Hans knew they couldnt get across in time, he threw himself in front of the incoming truck/bus and took the blunt of the impact. Alice survived the accident, but she fell into a coma. the events of Deemo is occuring in Alice's subconscious mind and her amnesia is Alice suppressing her memories of the traumatic incident. Hans, disguised as a being called "Deemo", is now a spirit that is trying to help his little sister out of her coma so she may continue living. however, behind the scenes, a part of Alice's mind manifested into a persona called Celia (aka the Masked Lady) in order to hinder their progress so Alice REMAINS in her coma and dies so she can reunite w/ Hans. in the end, Hans successfully helps Alice out of her coma and reveals himself for who he truly is, saying goodbye before his soul moves on now that his duty is fulfuilled and his sister is safe. when Alice awakens, it finally hits her Hans is truly gone and she breaks down into tears since (now i'm not 100% sure this is canon because this tidbit of information is from a book based on the game) now shes technically an orphan. her and Hans' parents died prior to the game's beginnings and Hans as well as a family friend (or a servant of the family, i forget now) has cared for Alice since. now w/ Hans gone, Alice is an orphan without parents or someone old enough to be her legal guardian (unless the family friend/servant or someone else officially adopts her)
Bryana Corrigan dont worry in the new dlc (forgotten hourglass) alice now can move on and have a "life" especially in song "marigold" she remember that she is not alone and her brother will always be there carring for her she now graduated, and go to school that more higher (maybe jonior high school?), have much new friends and trying become an amazing pianist, like her brother, she always say "brother please bless and pray for me for my next piano competition"
I didn't think Deemo's cutscenes could get any cuter or sadder, but this completely proved me wrong... Disappointed that Deemo wasn't carrying the cat doll at 4:42 though. :P

Alice and Hans were out and about (doing whatevs) and they got in a car accident. the reason y Alice has a case of amnesia is because shes suppressing the memories of the tragic accident because it was too traumatic for her. although, u arent ENTIRELY wrong. the other "Alice" we see (aka Masked Lady, whom we learn her real name is "Celia" in The Last Recital) is actually a part of Alice's mind that WANTS to die so she could be w/ her brother. if Alice remains in her coma long enough, her body will become too weak that doctors would take her off life support and she'll die. the events of Deemo r in Alice's subconscious mind while shes in her coma, w/ Hans/Deemo's spirit trying to help Alice out of her coma while Celia/Masked Lady works in the background to hinder them from succeeding so she'll die. it's a beautiful, heartbreaking story and i absolutely love it even if it destroys my heart every single time

i think this same guy posted a video about it? Not sure what it was called, but it starts with Alice waking up in a room on top of a desk. She finds a robe with the name Celia and I think her memory is triggered by touching a piece of the Masked Lady's mask?? She learns that her brother died but doesn't want to accept it and wants to stay with him forever, so she puts on the robe and the mask and becomes the Masked Lady. Then we see everything that happens next from Celia's point of view, including Celia trying to stop Alice from leaving that world so that they can stay with her brother.

This ending is from the original game. The other ending that you saw was an extra included in the PS Vita version of the game.
