      Me too! Airsoft is fine and good, but an actual bb/pellet machine gun would be so cool. They already make airgun magazines that use a belt to hold pellets, so the capability is out there.

    I'm not a massive fan of this style of rifle but this one has some nice simple clean lines, and I kind of like it. I certainly like the magazine capacity and shot count. The price doesn't offend me either,... so this might come under consideration for my first PCP.

    Good Morning people
    This peice of kit is far removed from the Snowpeak I own mine weighs a ton and not that powerful mind you she an old girl and well used circa 1989 .
    I like the looks of this new asnowpeak I must admit it's stats are well impressive . The price tag is far from the price I paid for mine back in the day £39 quid to be exact lol .

  • @brorjordas1979

    First off:
    This one looks VERY good in my eyes. So many sweet things which suits me very well. And the magazine, with it's good capacity, gets well hidden at the rear - which I really like..
    BUT. Then I get to my doubts.. That large magazine. Many pellets means also a larger weight mass...for the windimg spring to move. And JSBs seemingly not good enough for to be used in this video? Just makes me thinking the magazine is damaging easier the JSB pellets during the mag cycle where the upcoming next pellet abruptly stops at the breech area..🤔JSB pellets are soft in material to get easily damaged?🤔 Not sure myself - but I think I've heard such a thing by JSB aficionados..
    Though.. Seen other large capacity drum magazines for pellets. Hatsan at least has of them.. They shot well with JSBs? Why not the M60 then also to have a chance.. Some comment somewhere also hinted about a possible breech issue with these...
    Meh. Dunno.. Best just to buy one and find out the most suitable pellets..😁👍🏻

    Another great review Andy and the more I see of this brand the more tempted I am. Just got to decide on either this or the M16D or perhaps the P15. I have to say as well that I always like to see the more budget products sticking it to the far more expensive brands. I have seen this happen in the world of guitar makers and it’s probably the same in many other fields. No surprise really considering advances in manufacturing. In the end the consumer has more choice and can save a lot of money. Thanks Andy for keeping it real as always.

    • @brorjordas1979
      @brorjordas1979 11 місяців тому +1

      Yes. Mee too.
      Would been great to get some closer insight of that magazine..
      Quite large in capacity. Might have a hard rotating spring (to easily rotate the mass of a fully loaded mag), which then might damage the skirts on soft material pellets when rotating and abruptly stopped by the upcoming next pellet... Since we now did not get any video of how those praised JSB pellets actually performed (or not) in this rifle...
      I think that possibly a smaller capacity magazine, with a lighter winding spring might have kept the JSB pellets in the game...possibly...

      @brorjordas1979 11 місяців тому +1

      Yea. I watched his vids also last night (due not familiar at all with Snowpeak myself).. Not promising.
      But, I guess he also used JSB pellets? JSB pellets were soft in material btw? I think someone has said so about JSB pellets - and therefore the skirts of JSB pellets might get damaged easily in a too hard sprung spring powered magazine, as the M60 has? I'm just wondering stuff out here myself.
      Also some comment was about a possible breech problem with the M60..
      Dunno what to think really. But I did not get sold on this M60's performance even Andy shot it somewhat okay.. The rifle looks good though..

    interesting rifle, but while I've found SMK guns to be a great introduction to tuning and working on PCPs because of the simple and effective designs and low cost, they make good project guns precisely as they're out of the factory needing a bit of work. I wonder if the M60 is so pellet fussy because of the odd burr by the transfer port or squiffy crown like on the other guns? Still, for the price you pay, a bit of work with the Dremel and a polish can make these guns really very good!

    On the strength of this review, which made me look for more, I ordered one in. 22in. Collected it last Thursday, and I am still grinning from ear to ear. However it took 24 Parker Hale patches through the barrel to get it clean. The first few looked like they had been pulled through used engine sump oil. As for the enclosed pellets, I have bought a lot worse. Well formed, but lots of swarf in the tails. Still to try them due to the terrible weather, and not zeroed yet. The rifle is so smooth to operate. Only fired from within the house, into the garden, but the pellets were all going to the same spot 40m away. RWS Superdome. My 1st Snowpeak, but I can see me buying a 35 in .177in. All my other rifles are AA, and HW. This M60 is fantastic value for the money. I can see my AA S510r US, being relegated to 2nd gun.

    • @WhiteDieselShed
      @WhiteDieselShed 2 місяці тому

      It's a joke they still limit it to 'exactly' 12 without letting people know exactly how are they supposed to be setting them.
      It should be 12 with one particular pellet, or a choice of 3 that are consistent and you can test it with those 3 brands and
      make sure it really is under. Who knows if they had something made specially to push rifles and pistols over the limit when they feel like prosecuting someone?
      Probably ways to push a 10ft/lb rifle over 12 with the right projectile even if its not available to the public.

    • @AAROnair
      @AAROnair  11 місяців тому +3

      sadly there is no simple rule or explanation…. sometimes you find. gun/barrel that is pellet fussy, when others aren’t at all fussy. The only way to find out which your gun likes is trial and error and try out as many pellets as you can, which is an expensive pastime, hence Sample packs are made to try to give you a fighting chance on a budget. your starting point is a quality pellet and work your way from there.. stay safe, Andy

    When I saw M60 I thought it was a airsoft belt fed GPMG. Much to my disappointment

    That would be a lot of gun at twice the price ! I was expecting to hear £1200+. Also a traditionalist so not a fan of the 'tactical' look but this one looks really sorted. Nothing 'Action man' that doesn't need to be there. I'm sure it wouldn't take much to make that comb adjustable too ? Nice 👌

    I bought one these guns after watching the review. Disappointed with the performance. Because Your ear is next to the hammer area the sound of the hammer hitting the air release valve is very noticeable. Has been returned once because of a faulty regulator. Returned to me 2 weeks later and still not working correctly. Will going back again….

    Chinese hmm.I have a smallish collection of guns some keeper's some move on traded in ,Chinese guns aren't favourites of the gun trade, plan on big depreciation. My advice British or German.
