What that part of Matthew 7th chapter is saying that those saying unto me Lord, Lord did we not do these things means something that you might not have thought about. It is not a stab at Paul or other Christians at all. It is saying that if anyone things that just because they have done some things for God has guaranteed them salvation. While at the same time being disobedient in other areas are sadly mistaken. Jesus is expecting those that want to follow him to try to the best of their ability to obey all of the things that he taught us to obey. If we do so then we can be seen as perfect in a relative way. Meaning we are perfect as humanly possible. That will be counted as doing God's will full time.
Also if you are doing what Jesus commanded for the wrong motives. Here think about what would've happened if God allowed some of those banging on the ark during the flood to enter and be saved. After being saved and leaving the ark they would've went right back to doing what they were doing before being saved.
Ehrman is wrong when he says that Christians are always obligated to keep the Mosaic law. For that to be true then the new covenant would've never been instituted. There would be no way to sacrifice animals as the Mosaic law commands those that are obeying the laws of Moses. If true then the religion wouldn't be called Christian it would be an extension of Judaism. Then any that wanted would either have to become Jewish or a Jewish proselyte. Since that is not the case anyone that wants to become a Christian can do so. All without having to keep the laws of Moses.
Paul wasn't the one that said Gentile Christians didn't need to be circumcised. The apostles are the ones that transmitted that message and you find it at Acts 15:28-29.
Yes there have been those that have been persecuted long after Christ ascended that were hated by their families for being followers of Christ. The trouble of it is though it is not that well known or talked about. You have to ask yourself are there any Christian religions that are loved by the world. If the answer is yes then those are the ones that earlier scripture in Matthew is talking about. The reason that it has to be in the future time is because there would be no way that the apostles would've been able to cover everywhere on their own. Even if they had all disciples preaching they wouldn't have been able to cover the circuit as Jesus mentioned before his invisible return around 1900 years later.

    • @MrGilfred
      @MrGilfred 5 місяців тому

Jesus had to suffer and die not because the apostles couldn't complete the circuit. It was because Jesus' ransom sacrifice is what makes forgiveness of sins possible. Also it will be what will be the basis for removing the stain of Adamic sin from mankind. That scripture in Matthew 10 means that Jesus' followers would not be able to preach the message to the entire inhabited earth before Jesus would come in a way that only his followers would recognize that he has come. Not so strikingly that the whole world would see him.
Jesus gives his apostles a composite sign that will tell them when those things that they asked him will occur. The composite sign had a fulfillment in the past as well as a future fulfillment in our day, when is unknown.
All of the Gospels don't have the have all of the same information stated exactly like one another. They are written in a way where one will give more insight into the same thing someone else says. Then when the full insight is given by two or possibly three the fourth one doesn't need to talk about it any further. Much like how we see in news reporting. Now all reporters of a huge fire will cover everything the same way. Some might bring out different things that others seem to ignore. But in the Gospels it was inspired that way. If it wasn't done that way and each Gospel was a copy and paste of the other. That would make it look like they were just copying instead of it being inspired.
When Jesus said some of you will not taste death he wasn't talking about his apostles or any other first century Christian. This was talking about the far future. Yes in our day, there would be those Christians that would be living when God's kingdom is established on earth as it is in the heavens.
The prophecies that Jesus uttered weren't entirely for the ones in the time of Christ. They are also for us down in our day as well. In time others that don't believe that the end will come will learn very fast when the governments destroy all religions that God has been tolerating till they are destroyed. This will be the fulfillment of the prophecy in Revelations that talks about the wild beast (governments) that hate the harlot (Babylon the Great, the worldwide empire of false religion). The wild beast will totally destroy her. That will usher in a great tribulation that man has never experience before nor will experience again.

    • @MrGilfred
      @MrGilfred 5 місяців тому

If it was truly for the time of Christ then we wouldn't be here at all. Then the kingdom would've came so early that many could say that man wasn't given enough time to find out if he could successfully rule and govern himself independent of his God or not. That is why time had to elapse. There were other prophecies that had future fulfillments as well as the ones in the New Testament.
Oh so a tax collector could easily collect the exact amount of taxes and never need to have a record written to be able to show that taxes were indeed collected. The Jews in Jesus' day were more literate than what most people seem to think. They believe that all (black and white fallacy) societies, cultures, and traditions will be 100% identical. Where only the rich were literate. I would love to see any tax collector today being able to do his job without being literate.
Jesus did fulfill the law when he suffered many things then died, was resurrected, then ascended to heaven to present the value of his perfect human life as a ransom to his father. Some of the things that the Pharisees taught was wrong. They had the wrong idea of the Sabbath. Like it mean absolute abstaining from all work. Meaning that doctors back then couldn't set bones that had broken. Jesus said who of you that has a sheep that falls into a pit on the Sabbath will not pull it out. A sheep was an investment and they would protect their investment on the Sabbath so the same should be for your fellow man as far as helping him on the Sabbath. Then the Pharisees had the Corban, which was a tradition of the Pharisees as a loophole to avoid helping out aging parents monetarily when it was needed.
The Mosaic Covenant was kept for the time during Jesus' ministry, death, ascension, etc... till 33CE at Pentecost when in the upper room holy spirit was pour out on those in that upper room. That installed the new covenant and the old covenant was considered fulfilled.
That event proved to all present that Jesus was more than just a prophet. A roman soldier said that this indeed was the son of God.

The way Christian Mystics (Quakers, Ranters, Diggers, Behemists, Swedenborgians, etc.) dealt with Matthew 16:28 is to envision an inner Second Coming.
"And yet you see the weakness of external evidence-and outward miracles; they were not sufficient to make true believers, or to make the Israelites believe that Jesus was their promised Messiah." ~ Elias Hicks
Whether or not a historical Jesus existed is another conversation, but historical Quaker Elias Hicks makes a great point here, which is that even if a Jesus were to physically show up, people would still question it. Or if, for example, someone hands you a pair of sandals as an external evidence of Jesus, that prompts no one to believe, if they are being honest with themselves.
This is one reason why historical Quakers did not believe in a future external physical visible Second Coming of Christ, but rather Quakers believed that the Second Coming happens inwardly in the here and now on a person's impalpable heart, since that would have much more potent impact (comparable to an NDE) than some guy showing a pair of sandals, or the shroud of Turin.
"To believe merely in a historical Christ, to be satisfied with the belief that at some time in the past Jesus has died to satisfy the anger of God, does not constitute a Christian." ~ Jacob Boehme
"...[T]he wisdom of the flesh will tell you that the ... Christ Jesus is gone abroad; he is at a distance from you: ... that you should know Christ naturally, but not spiritually; Christ in the history, but not in the mystery; Christ for you, but not Christ in you: ..." ~ Joseph Salmon
"The rising up of Christ in sons and daughters is Christ's second coming”. ~ Gerrard Winstanley
"The second manifestation [or coming] of Christ to his people will be in their bodies. ... Our Lord has need of each one in his great, mystical body; and they must all be one in him, ..." ~ Jacob Boehme
"The Lord's [second] coming will not be his literal reappearance in the [external physical] world but his presence in every individual." ~ Emanuel Swedenborg's Secrets of Heaven, section 3900

I've read that the tearing of the curtain in the temple is a literary device used to show that the events surrounding the crucifixion were a 'play', as in 'the passion play', as it's called. Ever go to the theater? What's the first thing they typically do to indicate you're watching a play? They open a curtain, in two. Then the zombies come out, the sky gets dark (the stage lights dim), the earth shakes, rocks split apart, etc. All very dramatic and easily performed on a stage. "51 At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split 52 and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. 53 They came out of the tombs and after Jesus’ resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many people."

    • @markhamstra1083
      @markhamstra1083 5 місяців тому

Yeah, no. That’s clearly anachronistic nonsense since modern-style theaters with curtains wouldn’t exist until hundreds of years after the gospels were written.

    • @chefchaudard3580
      @chefchaudard3580 5 місяців тому +8

I don’t think there were curtains in ancient theaters.😊
To my knowledge the curtains being split is meant to tell that the times of the Temple are over and that there is a new covenant with Jesus.
The gospels being written after the destruction of the Temple, it’s no wonder they take in account this dramatic event.
Now, for sure, this part is obviously written as some dramatic play.

@@bradleyyurk5744 Probably. I wasn't saying that's the reason the curtain was torn, just that I've read that somewhere. And yes, I'd agree that all of the elements in the crucifixion and resurrection story in Matthew are purposefully dramatic and likely not historical. I mean, events like the sky darkening, the temple curtain tearing apart all by itself, an earthquake, multitudes of dead zombies coming out of graves and walking around. There's also a timeframe issue in Matthew with the zombies, because he says that at the moment Jesus died, the temple curtain was torn, the earth shook, the rocks split, and the tombs broke open and the bodies of many holy people were brought back to life. But THEN he says that 'they came out of the tombs AFTER JESUS' RESURRECTION, went into the holy city and appeared to many. So, what did they do, just chill in their tombs for a couple of days, waiting for Jesus to also come back to life?
"50 And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit.
51 At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split 52 and the tombs broke open. I enjoyed this discussion between Derek and Dr. Ehrman. I have read commentaries that say when Jesus is talking about “the Son of Man coming” in Matthew that he is referring to Daniel chapter 7 where one like a human is approaching on clouds of heaven and is presented to the Ancient of Days (God). And this one like a human is given authority, glory and kingship and that all nations will serve him. And that his kingdom will last forever. In these commentaries Jesus is referring to himself as the Son of Man and therefore is not talking about his second coming downward to earth, but his coming to heaven, his exaltation to God’s right hand, which includes vindication and judgement. So when Jesus says “You will not have gone through all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes” and “Truly I tell you there are some standing here who will not taste death before the Son of Man comes in his kingdom”, that he is not referring to his second coming to earth, but he is referring to his ascension and the siege and destruction of Jerusalem and the temple, which took place about 40 years (a generation) after his death and resurrection. So they would say it’s not a failed apocalyptic expectation, since he was not talking about his second coming to earth.

But gospels were a familiar literary form at the time, ever since Augustus cultists published theirs: in Augustus's gospel, joining saved you from military attack. All the other Mediterranean mystery cults were quick to make up gospels of their own, so Christianity needed one too. Similarly with water rites and food/drink rites. Christianity's food/drink ritual came late, from Paul in the late-40s/50s. Competition for cult membership was stiff.

13:20 well, "clearly" is a bit strong. Just THIS WEEK on his podcast, Dr Ehrman pointed out that the word 'stauros' means stake as well as cross, so why can't Jesus be talking about pulling up your stake to follow him? This fits with the other Q sayings, eg "don't take up the plough and then turn back" or "leave the dead to bury their own dead" etc. He might even be thinking of the language of the tanakh, where Abraham, for example, "pulls up his stakes" in order to travel, in Genesis.

People at that time werent nomadic so wouldn't be carting round tent pegs either.
Did the historical Jesus say this?
      1. Perhaps the phrase has been put on his lips by others after the event.
      2. Or perhaps he did say it because he had a hunch he would be executed. 3. Or perhaps he was the Son of God and supernaturally foresaw his own death.
These are the usual approaches to these verses...I dont see why you would feel the need to insist a historical Jesus said this but didnt mean it as a metaphor for death but instead about picking up your tent pegs (presumably as a metaphor for being committed to leave your old life)? We have good reasons to think there were « Christians» at the time Luke wrote his Gospel.
(There were no « Arthurians » at the time of Chrétien of Troyes😊, so your comparison is invalid)
It is likely « Matthew » was part of one of these groups of « Christians » and simply wrote what his group knew about the subject.
He may have added some embellishments, made up things we find in his Gospel only, but referred mostly on oral and written traditions of this particular group, who probably supervised what he wrote and used it in their congregation.
The so called ‘Q’ source, used by Mathew and Luke, is the name given to this tradition that does not come from Mark.

God says he is the king his laws or prophet's laws r his orders and if disobeyed it means harsh punishment. Jesus was hoping Jews will start obeying God which they did not and Isa 65-12 showed its effect in 70 AD

In reference to Matthew16:28 you are assuming Jesus is referring to physical death. Let's keep it in the context of the passage that is being looked at, ie the second coming and what will occur then. Look at Revelation 20:13,14 in conjunction with John 3:36, John 5:24 and 1John 5:11-13. The body sleeps in the grave but the spirit of the disciple will still be be alive with God. In the above passages notice that eternal life is present tense. Following the cross they have to life. They continue to abide in that gift right up to the time of the second coming at which time they will also receive an immortal body.
The second coming ushers in the second death, and they have no part in the second death.

Matt 5:20 - For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the [self] righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Who are these so-called "scribes and Pharisees" except those who came to Antioch from James in Jerusalem, and the Jews (including Cephas) who separated themselves like hypocritical Pharisees in Antioch? Compare Matt 15:1 Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem and Matt 23:13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. This all refers to the scribes come from James in Jerusalem and the so-called hypocritical Pharisees (separatists like Peter and Barnabas) in Antioch who shut out Paul's Gentile believers from entering into the kingdom of heaven. Note the part about “entering in to the kingdom of heaven”. Matthew’s source does not think the Jerusalem church will enter into the kingdom of heaven. The “[self] righteousness” of the Jerusalem church was not the right kind of righteousness for entering into the kingdom of heaven (JFB Comm. and Rom 9:30-32). One must wonder where Matthew got some of this material? The above would have fit perfectly with Mark’s own parabolic gospel directed against the Jerusalem church of James and the episode with Peter and Paul in Antioch (Galatians 2:11-16).

That covenant was made only with Israel and was never meant for Gentiles. The big turning point came after his crucifixion, when the apostles taught salvation by grace through faith and not by Law.

It's very interesting to read these comments below. This atheistic religion is just as dogmatic as some Christians I know. As a believer in the one that rose again, how could mortal man ever know for sure. We could argue back and forth forever and still never really know. Even though science has tried to create life from non-life, still the mystery goes on. The precision of the universe is fascinating to comprehend, with so far no scientific answer. Fun to watch the other sides obsession with what you would call "a fabricated story." I guess the bottom line is, we all have to make a living some way.

"We could argue back and forth forever and still never really know."
You just hit the nail on the head. The question is, what is likely to be true? When you start to look at society 2000+ years ago as a WHOLE and through an objective lens you quickly realize that the Bible has borrowed/plagiarized teachings and stories that are hundreds to thousands of years older. Creation, the serpent, the flood, God's son, a virgin birth, death, burial, and resurrection, judgement, heaven, hell, angels, demons, etc. These ideas and elements predate Judaism and Christianity by eons. So while us in 2024 will never know exactly what all has been changed and manipulated for power, control, or simply tradition, we DO know that many religions, people groups, and civilizations were passing down the same stories from generation to generation.
This is coming from someone who used to identify as a Christian. One thing I always found odd was whenever I would go deep into studying the bible, other Christians around me would shrink away. No one around me ever wanted to dig into the context of the scriptures or their origins. I grew up in the church and my dad was a pastor for some time, but it wasn't until I was older and started to study for myself that I began to see things that the bible explicitly forbids that Christians had been saying are "lawful". The more I dug into the bible, the societal context in which it was written, the massive gap in time between when these books were written and when the events are said to have taken place, the old tropes and stories that had been told throughout the ages, etc, the more a broader picture began to form.
Just like millennia ago, people choose which tradition these stories have been passed down through and claim to have the REAL TRUTH. I use the word "choose" loosely here because depending on what family you're born into you're most likely to follow in their footsteps when it comes to faith and religion.
If everyone has "the truth" then no one does.

Derrick is right in his thinking of John 21. It is another proof that Jesus was aware that he would return in the lifetime of John, as He predicted. John was one of the some of you shall not taste death people, Jesus was talking about referring too. Also look at John 14:2-4 same thing, it’s not a maybe, I will or won’t it just how the author expresses his conveyance of the event that took place, Jesus talking to Peter. He is for sure saying John will be alive when The kingdom of heaven comes into power.

Pythagoras means Heart of the Serpent, he was born in Sidon, a fishing Port in Phoenicia. His mother recieved a message from the Oracle of Delphi that he would become a great Leader and Teacher. Sidon means Kingdom of the Fish, and the Essenes, who wrote the Dead Sea scrolls, worshipped Pythagoras. The Sarcophagus of Eschmun III found in Sidon names him as the Widow's Scion, aka Hiram Abiff, the Founder of Freemasonry, of which Tyre was the premier Capital (at least equal to Thebes).
In 911BC Rameses II married the Queen of Sidon, home of Jezebel (Daughter or consort of Baal, basically "Queen") founding Neo Assyrian Babylon, an alliance between Egypt and Hiram, father of Jezebel and King of Assyria, and Egypt, forming the Phoenician colonies and building the first Temple of Melqart to commemorate the alliance.
The Si in Sidon is the basis of the Latin Exe, or X, and is the basis of the Cross, or Chi Rho that Constantine painted on his shields. Also known as the Cross of Tyre, or Cross of Baal, being Ra-El, or Ba'El. Oddly enough irrational numbers can also be mapped using Euler's number, producing a Templar Cross in the process a map of where Eclipses are most likely to occur. This cross can also be seen around the neck of Nimrod in Assyria, and is consistent with the Union Jack, and Solstice Calendar found in the Vatican Shiva Lingam.
Shiva is the Hebrew word for 7, their culture also found its way to Japan (via the Phillipines) ultimately becoming Shintoism.
It was the Phoenicians who gave their name to the Pole Star, which they used to Navigate the Oceans using the Zodiac, thats what the Antikythera mechanism was for, and with it they wrote the Byblos Baal, what we now call the Bible. The first form of the Bible was written in 325BC and called the Vaticanus Greacus, or Son of the Sacred Serpent, a reference to Sirius, the basis of the Sothic Calendar, which uses a Hexidecimal or base 60 system found in all the Megalithic sites around the world.
In the second century AD astronomer Valentinus Vettori transcribed it into a Lunar chart of 13 houses, what we now call the Zodiac. Horoscope means Star Watcher, and the Phoenician word for Saturn, or El, was Israel or El, (Fruit) of Isis and Ra. Alternatively El is the Father of Ra the Sun and Consort of Isis the Earth, aka El is the Moon.
El is the primary God of the Phoenicians, representing the offspring of Egypt, and his consort Astarte or Ishtar represents the Assyrian half of the alliance. It may be possible to trace lineages and alliances through the naming of gods, which can be traced all the way to Ireland and the Vikings, and to Indonesia and the Americas, even as far away as New Zealand and Australia.
It denotes Sirius as Son of Orion and Pleaides, which sits at 33 degrees of the Zodiac. The basis of the Sothic (dir Seth) Calendar of the Egyptians. The New Moon in this position marks Rosh Hashanah, the Egyptian, Celtic, Phoenician, and Assyrian New Year, the first New Moon of September, which is called September because it's the 7th House of the Zodiac, when the Sun is in Ophiuchus.
The Phoenix, Benben, or Bennu is the Egyptian word for Heron, a Feathered 'Serpent'. It baptised itself in frankincense and myrrh at BaalBek, and then alights atop the Pyramid, upon the Holy Grail, or Altar of Ra every 630 years to take three days off the calendar during the course of the first New Moon of Nisan, which means "Prince". The Capstone of Pyramids is even called the Benben or Bennu.
The Phoenix is found in all religions, which are all Astrological Allegory for the Moon travelling through the Constellations, as a soul migrating from body to body, this is the basis of Joseph Campbell's Monomyth, or the Hero's Journey. The various planets no doubt play their own roles as portents, omens, and aspects, this astrology is the science of the Bronze age, and lasted all the way up to the 20th Century. Reincarnation was an early teaching of the Christian Church, and likely relates to the lineage of Kings (The Pan is Dead, long live Pan!)
Phoenicians represent the interim step between Egypt and Greece, their artisans and culture exceeding that of the Greeks, who literally adopted the Phoenician Alphabet, which we still use to this day, sounding out words phonetically. Phoenician is aliiterated in Venetian, and Vikings, being Kings of the Sea.
The Bennu is the Egyptian Phoenix, to Phoenicians the Hoyle, no different to the traditions of the Etruscans, who saw birds as sacred, just as the Celts. Hebrew and Iber as in Iberia have the same root meaning over, as in overseas, as in those who travel "over the sea." A colony called Iberia also appears on the Eastern shores of the Black Sea, where the same Dolmens and Megalithic culture originating in Ireland and Brittany appeared circa 4500BC.
_Phoenician_ means Scions of the Phoenix, the first Bible: Vaticanus Greacus Son of the Sacred Serpent (Prince). Then there's the Essenes, Sons of Light, the Tuatha De Danaan, Sons of Light, Annunaki, Sons of Light, Arthur Pendragon means Arthur Son of the Dragon; Chertoff is Russian for "Son of the Devil" and Dracula also means Son of the Dragon, Masons have been known at times to call themselves the "Brotherhood of the Great White Serpent". The Ziggurat of Anu also denotes her as a great white Serpent, while New Grange and the Bru na Boinne in Ireland (4000BC) coated buildings with white quartz to denote the Moon. The Moon itself travels outside the Solar Elliptic by 5 degrees, which means it passes through specific constellations in a serpentine fashion that is always changing, but repeats every 19 years, the time it took to train a Druid or Magi, Magi meaning "Teacher" the Phoenix is also associated with this sacred number 19.
The name "Pharoah" means "Great House"
or "House of Light" and Cairo used to be called Babel. Pharaoh's themselves wore a hooded crown representing feathers, just as Native American Chiefs, ie the Feathered Serpent, they were also called the Commander in Chief. Aztecs also had Serpent Kings, (Canaan means Serpent Kings, and Sidon was a Son of Canaan, and Great Grandson of Noah) who were called to lead with cunning and guile, being the very virtue by which they claim the title in the first place; but to be seen in public as just and diplomatic.
"As wise as Serpents, but gentle as Doves" the old Egyptian flag of an Eagle attacking a Snake is also reflected in the Modern Mexican flag, denoting the Constellations of Serpentis (13th sign of the Zodiac) and Aquila.
The dimensions and 12 mathematical constants of the Great Pyramid are also expressed in New Grange, and Stonehenge, as well as in Watson Brake, (2500BC) and Teotihuacan, which correlates to the Phoenician/ Sumerian Hexidecimal system, which is what our modern systems of time are based on. In fact it unlocks a kind of fractal pattern that is reflected throughout creation.
Officially no one knows who invented astrology, the zodiac, navigation by the stars, and time keeping. But whoever built the pyramids, and pioneered the 24hr clock in Egypt 5000 years ago also knew the exact dimensions of the Earth, as well as the speed of light. These calculations can all be made using these Megalithic sites as surveyors use a theodolite. Specifically Teotihuacan, which sits 180 degrees opposite Cairo, and has the exact same footprint. The ideal positions to determine the speed of light using the transit of Venus, by which one can accurately determine Longitude for navigation. Capt Cook did the same thing in 1774 when he 'discovered' Easter Island.
The only culture that fits the bill was wiped out "not one stone upon the other" by the Romans in 146BC. Tyre, the capital of Phoenicia (israel) sat just offshore from Uru Salaam: City of the New Moon, or City of Peace. The root of the name Jerusalem, and was also seized by Rome in 70AD after a 13 year seige. The gap between is 216 years.
Greek Dionysians built the Temple of Solomon (now called the Temple of Melqart) representing the Solar Lunar Metonic Calendar on which this system is based, they also carried mirrors, a practice associated with both the Magi and the Druids as well as Greek and Egyptian scholars, these Mirrors are Astrological charts called "Cycladian Frying Pans" and record the cycles of the planets. The first Temple of Melqart (the Phoenician form of Horus, or Hercules, or Pan, or Thor) representing the 13th Constellation of Ophiuchus or the Serpent Bearer (hence Orphic Serpent worship) had pillars of Emerald and Gold, representing Isis and Osiris. The Jerusalem Temple only took payment in "Shekels of Tyre" a currency minted during the Jewish rebellion against Rome. "Give that which is Ceasar's unto Ceasar"
When Alexander sacked Tyre in 332BC they moved to Carthage meaning "New City" or New Jerusalem, where they built a second temple with Pillars of Bronze.
Nebuchadnezzar also seiged Tyre for 13 years, taking the City captive in 573BC: the same time as the biblical account of the Jews. And again in 70AD after a three and a half year seige, also consistent with biblical accounts.
Palaset was the name of a tribe of the Sea Peoples, Pallas Set denotes the New Moon of Ammun Ra rising in Gemini, the Pallas Constellation of the Twins that stand before Orion. This occurs due West of the Temple of Solomon in Tyre between the Western Gates of Gibraltar, Gabriel's Altar, and is the basis of the name Pallastein, or Pallas Stone. As in the Philosopher's Stone or Holy Grail, Altar of Ammun Rah, the Rising Sun.
