Seeing the notification for this made my Monday! Hank's shenanigans made me snort-laugh, and I love hearing about all your projects. Sounds like you had a great hiatus--welcome back!
Yay! The JATcast is back, lots of laughs, I have missed this! I got Hidden Blessings on DVD is so good! I’ve been telling so many people about it. Can’t wait to hear and see more, it’s always a blessing! God is good and has blessed us all so well!
❤ I absolutely love your movie, James! The performances were great, especially yours. Beautifully shot. The editing was perfect. The music was lovely and fit the tone of the film so well. I fully intend to purchase the DVD and watch it again. I cannot wait to see your next film. 😊
I recently discovered a interview with you in it and I was blown away by how many characters I grew up with/wish I grew up with, that you played. Not only that but I was super inspired by your faith. I am a Christian too and I was super intrigued that you are a believer in an industry that really doesn't support faith all too much. I am a young guy and I really want to get video game stories so I can make something everyone can enjoy and doesn't have worldly gobbledygook in it. I just wanted to say you really motivated me to continue working on my story and go out and try to achieve the goals God has put on my heart regardless of how oppressive the entertainment industry can be.
Hello, there! Happy to hear ya! Always nice to have a new JATcast. Absolutely love Hidden Blessings. :) Snatched up the DVD, my old-school bad self. lol Looking forward to hearing the Hidden Blessings Cast-cast. So much cool stuff coming down the pipeline...looking forward to seeing that stuff too. :) Blessings on your day, sir!
Glad to see your back JAT, glad to hear you're doing well. The advice and inspiration you've given has been very helpful to where I'm getting better in faith and health (especially from a car wrech last year).
I LOVED Hidden Blessings, James! I’ve streamed it 3 times already, first by myself, next two times with friends who were really blessed by it. Made us cry several times, really touched the soul. So so well done.❤
@jatactor Hi there James! So happy you’re back again, your voice touches my heart & scratches my brain in the best way possible. It’s just music to my soul! ❤️😇👏
Hey James, my husband and I still listen to your podcast and like when you talk about your own personal struggles while walking on God's path. It helps us to know we are not alone. :) God bless you, Erin and Greg (Melbourne, Aus)
Yo, Ho, Ho Bro.JAT is back! Thank you for being light and water. Hank always the star and nice to have Billy soon to take over. Ya man, 4 years and still rolling. Will get the DVD version, keeping the Physical Media alive. Until next time! 🙏🙏
Hello there, James! I always love saving your podcasts for when I’m travelling on the train. I usually end up grinning ear to ear whilst listening to your various characters; no doubt I look a little mad to other travellers! I’m so excited to have you back as I’ve missed you over the summer, but I’m glad that you took a break! My question for your next fan questions segment has a bit of backstory. So, I first listened to your podcast in lockdown 2020 and in one of your earlier episodes you encouraged us to listen to ELO’s Out of the Blue album. After doing just that, I then went on to listen to their whole discography and they’ve been my favourite band ever since! I’m going to their final show in London next year and I cannot wait! Anyway, I’m always reminded of you when I listen to ELO, so I was just wondering if you have a favourite ELO song? Sending love from over the pond (the UK)! 🧡
It doesn't matter what your voice is! It's still ratchet to me no matter what. I'm not like any fan at all! I love you for who you are and accept any voice including your original. And thank you for telling me to keep my faith to achieve my dream of becoming an animator someday and you alongside. It's just that it's been so hard for me but i need to keep going and never give up! Even with school behind me i still gotta improve more then ever! Thank you jat for inspiring me then before! May the force be with you.. Always
Hello @jatactor it's lovely to hear from you again. First of all, congratulations on your new movie. I'm gonna get the DVD, (I'm old school.) I'm glad you've been so busy with comic-cons and different projects. I only hope you are taking good care of your health and tiring yourself out. I too have been very busy with various projects and it's very easy to neglect yourself. Listening to your podcast is always a joy, like the warm sun filling you with positive energy. Now that we are on the cusp of the winter season, a time of looking inwards and reflecting on the year so far. I'm curious to know, what are your reflections on this year so far and how do you prepare for the coming winter months. I send all my love to you, your family and the jatcast gang. P.S. I seem to remember I got a mention from Mr Romantic Guy a while back, please send him my love too. From the wild Scottish Highlands to you, lots of love and hugs, Debbie xxx❤🌹😊
Hey James,I just finished listening to this and first time listening to one of your episodes lately,it was really good. I spotted you at Megacon while I was meeting Ashley Eckstein and didn’t get to say hi so hi,because I could only meet two people and I’d like to meet you next year hopefully at Megacon. I loved the clone wars as a teenager after watching Rebels, and I loved that you did Obi-Wan and Plo Koon,Star Wars is my happy place and a place for my imagination and career to flourish,I’m in College now and I hope to work with you and Dave Filoni at Lucasfilm sometime in the future. Again big fan,and hope to watch some of your other stuff coming out. The Comic Shop sounded interesting along with Gabriel and the Guardians,I want to be an actress and filmmaker and writer. Anyways, big fan and hi. 🩷
I actually had to stop the podcast midway through and didn't have a chance to get back to it until a week later, so that's just how some things go sometimes. I don't know, every now and then an unannounced break is a good thing because then when the podcast does pop back up, it's a nice surprise. Didn't know I was missing it until it came back, and that's exciting because then it's not like stockpiling another thing in my subscription feed into the watch later list that I get every day or every week, it's much more special. But now it feels weird being over a week late and seeing another episode already happened because I'm usually not that delayed. 😬
Great episode as always James! Glad to hear everything's going well and that you're enjoying all the comic cons! Even though your Ratchet voice sounds a lot like your regular voice, I think what people mean when they ask "do Ratchet's voice!" is that they just want to hear you say some of Ratchet's iconic lines. Congrats on getting Hidden Blessings out there on RedeemTV, I'll be sure to watch it sometime soon! Also, Hank makes a good point... Just for how long has Billy been an intern? Doesn't he deserve to get a full-time job at the JAT studio at this point?
Sooo great to hear your voice in your little padded booth again! Welcome back, JAT!💕 We've missed you!🥹 I wanted to let you know how much I've enjoyed your movie, Hidden Blessings! I bought the DVD as soon as it became available, and I've now watched both discs! (I am also a big fan of the old school physical DVDs, and especially love seeing the "behind the scenes" stuff). Where to start? The movie was so incredibly moving, inspiring and beautiful! Bravo to you and ALL the actors, artists and musicians involved! One thing that I could especially relate to was the message about getting back to creativity again, after hardship and loss. After I lost both my parents in the same year, I stopped composing music. In fact, for a year after they both died, I stopped even listening to music. I couldn't listen to it; it was all too painful. But eventually, after several years of struggling with the loss, I gradually found my way back to music again, and in the last 2 years, I've finally gotten back to composing music again. So the story of Gregory losing his wife and stopping painting for a while, but then hearing God's voice calling him back to it, really resonated with me. That's exactly how I have experienced God calling me back to writing music again. Your movie is a fantastic retelling of the Prodigal Son story, and I love all the unexpected twists and turns! (Won't give away spoilers here!) I also loved seeing how much it represented YOU and your life, JAT... Although a fictional story, I love all the autobiographical elements you've weaved into it. It was very rewarding on so many levels! I also adore the mystery of the unseen painting; the "hidden blessing", and I love that you leave it up to us, the viewers, to interpret for ourselves what it might be. I hope you won't mind me sharing my own theory... My idea is that the hidden painting is of God - or at least Gregory's idea of God. However, because everyone sees or imagines God differently, this picture of God will be different for each individual. We (the viewers) will never see the painting because it is deliberately left up to us to imagine what God might look like. And, in fact, the point of the paintings is not what's IN the painting itself, but who is there looking at it... The art is the people, with their backs to us. Different groups of people, wearing different clothing, coming from different backgrounds, different races, different religions, but all human beings, created through love and through God. And they are all responding to a piece of art that is a representation of God, and of LOVE. Because God is LOVE, and is in creation, he's in art, he's in people. When we see ANY art, and when we see PEOPLE, we are seeing God. Anyway, this is just my idea, my theory, and while it may not be accurate, and may not be the same as other people's interpretations, it doesn't matter, because everyone who watches this movie can imagine their own answer to the mystery, and draw satisfaction from it. That's the gift of art. I loved watching all the behind the scenes stuff on Disc 2 and seeing how you masterfully manipulated the scenes, such as by overlaying different colors, erasing unwanted things from the pictures, etc. So very cool! And it was fascinating seeing how you came up with the ideas and angles for different scenes, over a period time, and how each scene and moment eventually evolved into the final movie... I love watching an artist's process! So inspiring! Thank you JAT, for sharing your talents, creativity and art with us, and for your wonderful inspiring message, bringing us a glimpse of God, God's work, God's truth and God's love. Many blessings and much love to you, --Toria.💕

James, keep reminding us about all the new movies that you will be in. I’d love to watch them. Maybe mention them in your upcoming videos.
#jamesarnoldtaylor have missed the podcast. my favourite Tuesday morning routine is to wake up and check if you have done a podcast episode.
I actually had to stop the podcast midway through and didn't have a chance to get back to it until a week later, so that's just how some things go sometimes.

An already great week for America and now JAT is back! God is good! ✝
every time you speak, all I think of is Ratchet as well XD

I am wondering what Trolls movie are you in as I tried looking for it.
You need to stop filming your podcast so we can see you talking because I would like to see the person behind it instead of just here
