Thanks for sharing, would love a video on your thought process around rig selection. This is an area where I need to improve and always seem to fall back on the few same rigs.
Good idea Stuart. I will get round to making one at some point; however, I've got plenty of content I would like to put out first, then I could draw upon that in the video topic you're suggesting. I've got a couple of 'winter venue overviews' coming out and will try to be a bit more explicit over rig selection in these. Many thanks for watching and your interest.
Just a quick comment why do you strike the bites? I have fished next to and the odd a cation beaten some of the best anglers in the world , ie Ian golds. Chris Clark Alan Yates . Not one of them stuck bites So why are you showing people that is the way to fish ? Ps unless it’s a slack liner or a big pull they will always wait .
Thanks for watching Colin and your relevant question. Force of habit partly and I don't like deep hooking fish. I find that when fishing with braid and I leave bites to develop, they often don't develop and I miss the opportunity to hook a fish, or the fish swallows the hook right down and requires disgorging. Since I sea fish for pleasure, I'd rather remove the hook from a fish's mouth and return it unharmed than risk harm to it by having to disgorge. I do like to watch and learn from top anglers, having gone to watch Penn Sea League finals; however, I just film what I do - others do things differently and I'm not the best in the World at it!
May have to turn this one up Gerald! Was OK when recorded - but rendering / transcoding / uploading or whatever did something to it and I rushed it out! Sorry - I think / hope this is the only one with that issue! Thanks for watching and pointing it out and so subtly - I like it!
THANKS Rod really enjoyed this and learned a lot
Many thanks for that Ian.
Excellent, informative and plenty of fish I’d be there tomorrow if it wasn’t for the lockdown. ☹️Thanks for sharing
Cheers - yes well worth a go this time of year.
A lot of time and effort much appreciated.
My pleasure - its a retirement hobby!
Another enjoyable vid, thanks for posting.🎣
