    How often do Italians say "non vedo l'ora"? Pretty much every time they get excited about something. If you translate it word by word it says "I don't see the hour", so obviously there is a different meaning in Italian that we associate to the expression.

    This is a great video series, Luca! I have also seen "Non vedo l'ora" translated as "I can't wait" in English, which means the same thing. "Non vedo l'ora di imparare di più nel tuo prossimo video!" --> "I can't wait to learn more in your next video!" Grazie e buona giornata!

    Ciao! Can someone explain this expression "Aiuta il pezzo a girare ed a farci ascoltare" in a fully literal sense? I don't get it fully, especially 'the makes us listen' part. I would like to get familiar with Italian expressions because I like it very much and can't find information on the internet. Grazie in anticipo!

    • @DolceVitaChannel
      @DolceVitaChannel  2 роки тому +1

      Ciao. This must be related to music, "il pezzo" means "the song" so the meaning in a nutshell is "spread the word", more literally would be like "help the piece (song) get around and (help) us be listened to"😉

    Ciao, Luca! I've been trying to figure out if the word "erto" is a real word in Italian. It seems to be from "emergere" or "erigere" based on the context from the line of dialogue I heard from a video game. "Mi sono erto dal fango e polvere. Sono un fiore di loto. Io. Sono. Belezza."
    I don't know what tense "Mi sono erto..." is but Google Translate seemed to translate it correctly. Grazie mille!

    • @DolceVitaChannel
      @DolceVitaChannel  2 роки тому +1

      wow, that's pretty advanced! "Mi sono erto" is passato prossimo of the verb "ergere", actually "ergersi" cause it's reflexive. It means "I rose up from mud and dust"😉
