You think someone claiming that a tapir is a bear is bad? I was at Disney's Animal Kingdom a long time ago and when we went to the Giant Anteater enclosure near The Tree of Life, someone actually said that it was "the thing that looks like a dog".
They must have Been very dumb
They did not 😅
I feel that rant about the “Louisville bear”
I hate it when people can tapirs anything that they are not. These are beautiful creatures that people should read the labels.
Congratulations on a thousand subscribers! You should do a video on Jelani the male Silverback that likes to look at videos on your phone! He is amazing to say the least. He will hang out with you for a good twenty minutes and seems to treat each guest in a different and special way. There are no words. Your videos are awesome.
It was funny all the thing that people called aTapir also when you opened the door you said every time. It happens a lot at every zoo and you made it very funny! Thanks!
Yes! I've been waiting for the episode for a long time! Congratulations on 1000 subs! And I feel you for people calling animals the wrong thing. Especially when they call babirusas rhinos.
Also great video!
Seeing the Malayan tapirs brought back memories of when the Cincinnati zoo housed them many years ago in the elephant house, which they formerly shared with the hippo, African elephant, giraffe, and Indian rhino.
2:16 lol 🤣
I spread the word about your videos to all my zoo crazy chatter friends from Animal Adventure Park home of April the giraffe. I hope a lot of them subscribed.
I love your vids keep it up
I've actually been to the Louisville zoo it's a great zoo
Tapirs are not pigs
Not elephants
Not Bears
Not anteaters
But very cute amazing animals
I play a game called Zoo Tycoon 2, and your channel is the best way to see zoos from the globe and get amazing inspiration :-D
I play as well too, constantly! And usually model them after zoos I visit.
I play it too!
Tbh, Elephant pig is pretty accurate. 🤷♂️
The last few times I had gone to the Louisville zoo, the orangs and tigers were switched. I also only seen the females of the orangs.
I didnt know little blue penguins were very rare I just thought they were uncommon. I saw them a few days ago at the new England aquarium so crazy to think I've been to 1 of 5 facilities in the us that has them
1:15 this may not be as true for Tortoises. Giant tortoises existed throughout the globe and a number existed on mainland. In fact, one lived quite recently here in North America. Only going extinct towards the early Holocene!
HOWEVER, the isolation and lack of predators certainly helped with the size growth. And the isolation also allowed them to survive for far longer! So in a way, living on islands did play into their evolution and survival!
Car Mikislav
Maybe...
Didn they use to have Sumtran tiger
When are you gonna make it to the Southeast? Lots of great zoos down there especially FL!
This May... to the biggest attractions they have:)
Zoo Tours Let me guess.... Disney's Animal Kingdom, Seaworld, Busch Gardens, Lowry Park Zoo, Jacksonville Zoo & Zoo Miami.
@@saruscrane4953 I will be staying in Orlando, so my only goal is to cover the DAK and SeaWorld
Zoo Tours Good luck! It took me nearly 2 hours to wait for the Eld's Deer and Blackbuck to appear in the Maharajah Jungle Trek. Also, you barely have time to get any decent footage on Kilimanjaro Safaris. I skipped it on my last visit. You'll like SeaWorld if you're a coaster enthusiast, but hit the lines early!
have u done woodland park zoo yet
I noticed there was a sign on the glass of the former Rockhopper Penguin exhibit. What did that sign say? Was it regarding why the penguins were not there?
Raatul Gupta We are currently renovating it👍
If I had a nickel every time I’ve been here (I’m a local with a membership) and someone called the orangutans “funny looking gorillas”, I would be rich!
I visited the zoo back in November. it was disappointing, though Islands was amazing! Also one of my favorites. A lot of the building was off limits due to renovations though :(. I saw my first Nene, Babirusa, and Cuban Crocodiles.
It’s a Malayan Taiper

1:03 casually poops
😆😆😆
I definitely don't enjoy rotating exhibits. Zoo exhibits spaces are not big enough for the animals to feel comfortable with smells of other animals. I guess it may make them get stressed. I bet it would be much better to make a mix exhibit. (Of course, with animals that are able to live together). Anyway, the zoo staff knows what they're doing.
Animals smelling other animals' scents is probably the most natural thing that happens in a zoo...
Why not put aardwolves in that empty exhibit?🐺🐺🐺
Leslie Chu but it’s all about south east Asia not Africa
Leslie Chu they aren’t exactly island animals
Tapirs are not🐘🐖
This is not award worthy ...plain typical zoo cages
For 1996 it most certainly was, especially since it was the first of its kind
