I'm doing it now on my 2020 compass.. top and bottom clips that hold pad how do u keep them pinned Dien so u can slide over both.. I see u put bottom on 1st but then top clip will touch the pad not allowing it to slide as pad wears as it's butt up against it.. I notice u just slid it on... help if u can..
I just replaced the stock clips with the replacements that came with the pads.. easy peasy.. it was near impossible to get both top n bottom on stock ones, they must have removed the bracket and slid them om from inside.. I wasn't changing rotor so was hoping to not remove that.. after an hr of struggling g I was like ket me see the new shims... wow wish I just changed em out to begin with
@warrenranstrom4462 honestly don’t recall. You would just need to see how the old ones came off. Most wear indicators are placed inside. On the trialing edge.

Most modern pads already have shims/anti squeak pads on the back of them already. No need for copper grease. That is an old practice.
did you remove brake fluid cap to let out pressure so you could collapse caliper piston ?
No but you can suck some fluid out with a pump or a Turkey baster first if you would like.
I have a 6 point socket set, I should be good to get those caliper bolts off? You think I can strip those bolts with impact ?
So annoying jeep couldn’t just use a normal bolt for the caliper bracket
