- Before the elves and their Alliance, the forests of Lordaeron belonged to the trolls of the Amani empire. As their warlord, Zul’jin has united the tribes into an army that stands ready to take back what is theirs and to slay the elves who stole it from them. From my experience as WoW player - they die. A lot. With Zandalari and Gurubashi.
The One Well their kingdom was wiped like 3 times already and they still keep coming back.

he should have mentioned, "does immense damage...if your on low health"
as when your on full it does basically less than 5%, but when you are on 5% it does like 50%
based on your MISSING HEALTH

With the spell-power increase talent on lvl1 when below 25% hp his guillotine does like almost 2.5k damage, soo yeah, it's quite a hefty that one

This is the original Zul'jin, hence why he has both arms. Stop asking why he's not missing one.
Same reason Kerrigan is evil; they went to a certain, well-known point of the character's life, and based them off that for HotS.

Indeed: they've chosen the HotS chars during their "best" days. For instance we have Warchief Thrall, rebel Sylvanas, evil Kerrigan, etc.
This Zul'Jin is the Warcraft 2 one, not the patch 2.2 raid boss.

I think he is 2 armed because he is from a timeline where he didn't get captured. (I don't know when he loses his arm and his eye tho... in war2 maybe?)

Blizzard, I just wanted to thank you for Zul'Jin ^_^
I love how you not only got all the classic lines of the axethrower in there, and not only did you give him color variations to reflect the original Zul'Jin and axethrower from Warcraft II, but you even made him feel like an army of classic axethrowers when you play him! I love it! My favorite hero in the game!

Health as a resource. I didn't think I'd like Gul'dan because of this, but he has become one of my favorite heroes. I am just worried about his lack of escapes. It would have been nice to have 'blood sacrifice' or something, where he sacrifices max health for movement speed or something. But he seems cool. (PS - Please Stukov. I will give you all my money for Stukov.)
Zul'jin isn't built around escaping at low HP, he's built around finishing off his enemies.
He gets most of his 'escape' tools at lv.13, tho. He can go for a root/stun cleanse, +move speed when he connects with his Q (which I think a charge based skillshot, meaning he can chain this ability to keep his speed up), or allowing him to move around while he's channeling his heal (still interrupted on damage tho).
yeah, I think much like other heroes (greymane comes to mind) he is designed to STAY within a fight if it gets heated. Once you are in, don't escape but try to do as much damage as possible.
Confuzledish he feels like artanis your best bet is to stay and outlast your enemies
Greymane has an escape in switching forms though, especially if you pick the talent that makes you invisible while disengaging.

Gandro93 I'm talking about the actual heroes of the storm name, There are soo many Assasins and warcraft heroes, they could have released different then maybe a warcraft one (after a long time)

Well I guess there are people who get upset over one of the original Warcraft characters being added after being promised over 2 years ago.
Not sure what this even means, there's a lot of warriors and supports in the game who all have great impact. I guess you just wanted something cynical to say.
Why are you complaining about a lot of assassins? teams are comprised of mostly assassins, so naturally, there will be more. why are you complaining about more warcraft heroes? its their most expansive and old game, not to mention this entire genre is because of Warcraft III.
I would have preferred a one-armed Zul'Jin, to be honest.
Guillotine seems so weak compared to Taz'dingo. Especially with that attack-speed-at-low-hp trait, taz'dingo is so incredibly strong.

Guillotine literally did half of the enemy HP when he's low and it's AoE, did you not see the video?
Taz'dingo synergizes better, but one stun and his ult will run out before he can escape.
Martin -҉ why not both? man Blizz missed an opportunity to make him having 1 arm when below a certain percent of health, like when he's full he has both arms, he's 25% he has one arm. That would be awesome to see a one arm near death Zul'jin wiped your entire team :(
zul'jin looked a lot whimpier when i saw him in wow, so this is pretty cool actually
the one we saw ingame was after he lost his arm and eye, and he was rather old, but this model is based off his look when he was younger ,and in the warcraft series

was really hoping his ult made him into a berserker but alas :/ really dont like tazdingo, it works well but its so bland and in every other moba ever made.
idk about all of you guys, but the Warcraft heroes are the most exciting for me whenever they come out because it was such a big part of my childhood. I'm still waiting for heroes such as Maiev, Ner'zhul, Kel'thuzad and many more. While i am not expecting them for a long time (if ever), they would make a great addition to the game.

If he is anything like Huskar, it's all appreciated none the less unless your running knife edge to take out a particularly important target, more health = more axes before you dead mon... Just don't heal him if he is trying to Guillotine...

Regeneration is sick, love the animation.
It does more dmg when he is low on health, that was when he was at 100% so it does not do much
as alex said, it does more damage the lower he is, so if your at like 1% health you could prob 1 shot most heros with that spell

really hope its a specialists when they release voljin or senjin could be a witchdocter that focuses on healing and will be a mix of HoT and burst healing would be really cool

The way Zul'jin plays reminds me of my hunter in WoW.
I always thought that Zul'jin and enemy troll tribes were extremely compelling antagonists. They don't have the ability to immediately spawn or resurrect themselves, or hide in an alternate dimension (like demons, undead, elementals, or dudes from another timeline). They gather up all their people and resources from their shattered nations, and risk it all to get back the land they lost in the past.
It's also why I love the Darkspear Tribe the most of the Horde. They have the least land and settlements, and until Vol'jin began clashing with Garrosh, the least storylines for their faction. Arguably, the smallest factions of the Horde now are the Bilgewater Cartel and the Huojin Pandaren. But if either of the people from those races wanted to leave the Horde, goblins could go work pretty much anywhere, and the so could a Pandaren. In fact, they have a whole home continent to live in. The Horde consists of all that the Darkspear Tribe have.
We need Vol'jin now.

At the end of the video where the heroes of the storm logo appears, there is a wierd Zerg-like sound, that is not Zul'jin right? maybe new hero tease? :D
Doesn't really sound like Zerg to me.. and I think you can hear some kind of chain or metal in the background.. I'd say it's a Diablo demon, or perhaps even Mannoroth the Destructor from warcraft, it sounds like him.
I only thought about Zerg because iirc the primal Zerg have this vibrating undertune while roaring.

Sounded very zerg-like to me, but unless they do something like lt. Morales or Brightwing where they just give an unnamed unit a name i can't figure out who it would be

i always loved zul'jin and the amani from world of warcraft until now and i love how people remember one of the greatest trolls ever existed.
but whether or not i want his axe is a little different story and it depends. dose he mean an axe in my head or the heads we collect? HA HA HA

JoeAXE Cleave my zuljin will always be one eyed, he just looks normal like that.
He also has both arms and his tusks weren't removed yet. It always made me cringe to imagine how painful that must've been like.
I really hope he has a talent that changes his look, like with Dehaka he gets his arm regrown after a certain level and here he could have his arm/eye cut with certain talents or if he would get that way at low hp it would look so friggin awesome...
Sgt.Grinner there was one troll who regenerated almost his entire body after bring in a pool of Shadowflame.

Blizzard: Love the addition of Zul'jin. I know Warcraft has the largest pool of characters you can pull from, but we need more heroes from Starcraft, Diablo, Overwatch and other old Blizzard games (Harth Stonebrew, The Hearthstone Innkeeper, please).
Also... we really really need more supports... Assassins are cool, but we really need a larger pool of supports we can play. In the last two years only 3 supports have been added to the game (Kharazim, Lt Morales and Auriel)... There have been 15 new assassins in that time.

Harth Stonebrew is an amazing idea :D
Summoner-Style hero. Talent tiers allow him to add cards to his deck that summon different Hearthstone minions. His trait, "Draw a Card", adds a card to his Q, W or E, he can hold 3 cards max, Heroic abilities would be Legendary Cards like Leeroy Jenkins. Kinda a randomish luck-of-the-draw-based hero, but that's Hearthstone in a nutshell.
I believe Blizzard has mentioned that they consider supports the biggest game changers in terms of what they bring to the game. They are going to release supports at a slower rate to try and make different heroes who can add different things than just "Oh this hero heals this way and this hero heals this way instead!" However I am in full support of a wider roster of supports and Starcraft heroes!
blizzard also made the videogame the death of superman for snes, so they could bring superman or doomsday, that could be hilarius :D
Healing is not the only way to support unfortunately ...

The best support IMO is Morales most of the time, my trait is toggled 100% of the time.
The only way to kill us is either stunning us, or pulling me/knocking her back and bursting.

Love him. But I really wish he had the voice from the Gods of Zul'Aman trailer. One of the most badass voices I've ever heard in a Blizzard game.

huskar in hutshell: hey, let's make a ranged strength hero. okay, that sounds kinda bad but let's go with it. le's make that he gets pumped up when given a beat, and near immunity to burst. eh that sounds kinda unbalanced to be honest but let it be his thing. then let's give him zero mana dps buffing autocast. well uh... and finally 800 range unstoppable leap which destroys any hero while making himself pump those javelins even faster. not unbalanced enough! let's slap a heal as only mana ability, and as it costs mana, it should be powerful enough to give 40 hp regen at midfight. and let that scale up with his strength which also fuels his max health and attack damage. icefroggo: THAT IS PERFECTLY LEGIT.

it's Warcraft II Zul'jin, before he was kidnapped and got his hand chopped off and his eye ripped out. Also who else is a better troll axe thrower than Zul'jin? he doesn't really throw axes with his hand chopped off
