I am so freaking hyped for this champ, usualy love the illusionist concept in almost every game i have played and this was a favorite of mine in the old wc3 games. Kudos to the team that brought him forward :)
I laughed when he was messing around with Tracer and Kerrigan, also when that Chromie survived. I'd love to have Abathur to clone him and make more clones. 6 Blademasters seem over powered. To rival that what if Ally heroes can enter Nydus with Zagara?
Add in some Lost Vikings for extra fun.

The hard micro + assassin will make this guy high risk high reward with swap image ult. Looks interesting, I'm excited to try him out.
The design on this hero is amazing, it has a pretty low skill floor but with his position exchanging ultimate and his level 20 talent he becomes one of the heroes with most skill ceiling in the game (probably in top 3 below vikings and murky i would say)
Actually his clone switching ability is now baseline, the ult upgrades it

Sooo.... His Q is a hybrid of Chen and Nova's abilities, but better.
His W is a better version of Arthas' trait.
His E is a more accessible version of Greymane's disengage.
His first Ult is basically Kerri's Maelstrom on crack.
But kudos, his second Ult is unique and awesome.

Especially right now when the only support you (occasionally) see in QM is Malf and 5 support heroes are in the bottom top 10 by win percent. I believe Malf is the only support hero with a win percent above 50% as well. Ridiculous.
I fear that this unbalance may also affect Ranked too.

I might pick up Samuro just for that! Nothing would fill me with more pleasure in the game than baiting an Illidan hard like that. Almost as good as catching an Illidan hunting into an ambush.

When I saw Samuro use Wind Walk and Mirror Images, I had a hard hit of nostalgia.
When I heard the Warcraft 3 Orc music, I instantly played Warcraft 3 for the rest of the night.

what made him interesting in WC3 was how his inspiration was comically obvious and personality was still interesting
Blizzard found the right balance when designing Lancrestor
The orcs have many assets with traditional Japanese culture though. If you actually look at the WC3 concept art for some of the faction stuff they were rice farmers and more. It makes sense to push him into the quasi-Japanese light.

On the contrary, it doesn't "make sense." If by that one means it didn't befit the lore. Because strictly speaking, it does make sense why Blizzard would do this, plain marketing; if it sells, it sells. But at the cost of the lore and character depth. As said, the inspiration behind the original character in WC3 was comical in how obvious it was. Intentionally, of course. Just as the Pandaren Brewmaster was an easter egg, not meant to be entirely canonical. To make the blademaster a full-blown Japanese orc now is almost as unoriginal as whipping an whole expansion out of an easter egg.

Well it´s their Game so up for them to decide and it is a good Design. You can´t even tell if he is broken without knowing the Numbers and playtesting him, so why even comment?

It will be balanced in same manner as greymane is... very powerful, but with no sustain whatsoever. And Samuro is always meele range, which makes it lil bit more risky
people said Sylv was broken just with her kit. Same with Vikings. Cho'gal. Any especially unique character seems broken in the current meta, but that's how the game evolves. Don't be so hasty
Alwayz He is strong against a Single Target but without Sustain he might struggle in Lane and he seems to be more like Zeratul which would mean he needs insane Numbers to be too strong and with the Melees of this Game being more or less well balanced right now i am confident he won´t be broken

Because Grom is not a blademaster he only used the kit in wc3. blademasters are from the burning blade clan, Grom is from the Warsong.

And Grom isn't a blademaster :v They wouldn't be able to think of an interesting kit for Gromm, as he was pretty much a simple warrior

Definitely. The skin doesn't look as detailed as say Gul'dan but also the eyes are close together and the nose looks odd. I think not having as much accessories or clothes highlights it even more.
yeah the lighting is off and the model is low res, they havent finished his model yet probebly so now its looks like he is shown on low graphics, but with it being a while until his released they will probebly fix this

I'm a support main, but I am pretty hyped for Samuro and will definitely try him out!
His alternate skins look amazing, and, more importantly, he's an orc. Meaning we can finally make a full Orc team
(Thrall, Gul'Dan, Rexxar, Rehgar and Samuro) that looks kinda viable as well.

Blademaster deserves his own class ( in ideal world). I guess it would also not worked with plate.
I used to wish they would give combat rogue last talent to use 2h and play like blademaster, stealth and agility things.

Orcs used to have a hero class called "Blademaster" in early alpha of the original WoW, it's why you can find some old plate armours with weird stats like Agility.
With Illusion Master, this might actually be one of the hardest heroes to play really well.

funny how even in original WC3 as well as HotS, blademaster's design is based on samurai (even Samuro's name is too obvious), however both of his 2 main abilities are ninja skills: vanish and illusions :)))

Dota2's Juggernaut(Yurnero) model looks nothing like Samuro.
And if you played DotA1 then you know that they used WC3 models. (well 2 custom made hero models)

Nessevi no he was one of thee most powerful besides rag, chen and KT. i mainly speak of multiplayer when you played online KT was powerful for the fact he could destroy forts with his ult and Chen was really good as a tanky AoE class as he is in HoTs. rags Lava spawns if left unchecked in a fight could overwhelml and the blademaster was extremely powerful at killing enemy heroes and specific units very fast which can change the tide in a fight.
Reinis Aizsilnieks okay when did this have anything to do with your winrate? i spoke about the hero if you ever played custom maps a lot of heroes are more powerful that in vanilla version.
now im honestly sick of people boasting and telling me how bad some of these heroes i personally enjoyed were bad or trash.

Yeah, kinda dumb that they basically retconned Lantresor's lore. Feels like they did it just to make Samuro a somebody.

Samuro existed before Lantresor though, he made an appearance in Warcraft III: Frozen Throne, bonus campaign. his lore did change a bit though.

Man he looks difficult to use and super annoying to face against..the fact that the copies of him looks exactly the same as the real samuro when he's your opponent and the clones can pretend to interract with objects and do real damage to minnions and your team mates. It's just like Nova's decoy but much better. Think about Butcher etc using his ruthless onslaught on the wrong Samuro and then he gets killed from stealth and another copy of samuro xD And how is Diablo going to beat Samuro?? He also got one of the best escape move in-game with just 1 button. Stealth > no reveal after taking damage within 1 second > can walk trough opponents. He can counter soo many things with that. And nearly all heroics will be useless against him. No doubt that this character will join the tier 1 class category together with Li Ming and Kael'thas in the ranked draft :/ Blizzard made another broken character
its cancer i agree. But it adds a lot of depth to his playstyle. Without it, imagine how boring he would be.

looks as if blizzard is releasing another op hero...hopefully not to good, but the spotlight makes him appear incredibly strong :/
To gain control of the clones you have to spend your heroic on it. Normally they'll just auto-attack and at lower dmg (so it will probably be possible to "feel" if it's the real one if no other enemies attack you).
Also, for all those admittedly great utilities he'll pay with low hp and no self heal. They'll nerf him until he's only viable if player actually manages to pull off the mind games successfully. If they really made him broken, they'll nerf him so far that only pros will manage to use him.

yeah, still need Tosh, Karax, Fenix, and Infested Stukov. Team protoss is just one hero away from being a thing! Same with team Terran and Team Zerg! if we got the above all would be a thing.

Grom was a Blademaster. Blademaster's aren't restricted by weapon despite their name, they have a mastery of all weapons. Blademaster's originate from the Burning Blade Clan but were utilized by the Horde/Legion and expanded upon after the fel had corrupted to the Horde.
Grom wasn't a Blademaster.He was the leader of the Warsong clan and not the burning blade.

Mads Kisby no its always been there, when you drink the blood of powerful demons you turn green, and if you are around those using demon magic, thats why thrall is green and others

His model looks oddly boring and low-quality compared to other heroes released lately, am I the only one who noticed this? Compare Samuro to Zarya, Medivh or Auriel, and I just.. I dunno. :/
