A-plus video. I agree with everything you’ve said here. I would also add that jumping into a PI (Peragrin Island) mission team can be fun and rewarding, too. The person running the group is usually a 50, or close to it) and lowbies are often accepted.
I was about to do a video on this topic, but I have scrapped that idea and instead, I am going to share your video with my community. Yours is so well done and in the way I would have done it, there is no point in me doing one.
I know slotting for End Reduc is mentioned, but not actually doing so in the video is displaying a build that would practically be unplayable at the level of the character. For basic slotting, I do single target attacks 1Acc, 1 End Reduc, 3 Damage with a possible recharge. AoEs get 2 Acc with the rest being the same while skipping the recharge. Before SOs/Common IOs, I would double up on Acc and End Reduc. An easy way to get currency is to log out in banks to get the Day Job for it.
Exactly what I do 👍🏻 Also if you are making a fire farmer once you are level 22 then enhance up and do AE fire farms solo. Set them as high a level as your toon can tolerate. I don’t believe you get double experience but you get great recipe drops.
Check your Salvage to see if you have any rare ones, some of it can sell for 50-400k. Plus you can start converting your reward merits to enhancement converters/unslotters and sell them on the auction house
I originally played shortly after the launch of City of Villians. And played no other game till 2009 I believe. And haven't played any other PC games since. I know it's an dated game but I really want to play. The question I beg to ask now is. What PC set up would anyone recommend to run the game at max fidelity ( ultra setting ). I remember it really taxed my early 2000's build... 😢. Lay it on me!
My pc way back in 2011 could run it at max settings so any modern PC can. It uses so little resources I can run it at the same time as Enshrouded, GTA:O, BG3, Palworld, Swtor (though that one is older too but newer than this), and no problems and this is on a 2k monitor.
Michiyo's has a bunch of mods, one of which removes the fog effect in cities. It was probably needed back in the old days, but draw distance on modern gear is much better now. Definitely recommend this mod. There's also one to remove the War Walls visual, if that's what you'd like to do. (I like them)
If you play on any of the top 2 servers on homecoming you have teaming up going non-stop day and night. It's literally the easiest MMO ever to team. You can always play solo, if you want. It's one of the only MMO's where regular teaming you can invite people any level, even lvl 1, and you all get exp and "loot," drops.
@@bl8388 Exactly true. Even with the older style of team content being 8 man and raid content being 32+, it is easy to fill teams and even a duo is strong.
good video but useless for solo. i made tons of characters nearing 100. you don't need 2 ACC when leveling and never did. They really need to modernize this game it's slow and dull soloing some of this where something like SWTOR, Warframe, ESO, GW2, well pretty much any modern game lets you and it's not scaled badly like this. Homecoming devs don't seem to understand the game at 1am to 5am is dead too. I'm not changing my life for a game.
You can just use cheats. I work in internet security for a living, there's nothing they're detecting on our end. They have zero anticheat. Preferrably they should make it scale a bit better but i don't think they have the talent. Hopefully someone is working on it but I feel like no one is. Other servers surpass this one in costume parts and powersets as well.
@@doctorkman837 there is none because every other server that isn't homecoming doesnt have the population to even make it feel like a MMORPG (even Homecoming is lower pop than it was on launch, I've never seen it hit 3 dots for population in years) Thunderspy is cool for example and it lets you customize your mastermind pets in the costume creator which is fantastic, but I've never seen more than like 10 people on Thunderspy. It's basically a single player game with a chat room. If you want to play with other people, you go to Homecoming.

Great video(s) Purge! Super helpful, even for us old players!
Thanks for the info I was looking for a way to level fast. Was struggling after level 20
20-35 is the slowest part in my experience!
@@PurgeCOH ah nice thanks for the tips kevin

And keep in mind COH was always one of the fastest MMO's to hit level cap, even back when the typical MMO had 50 as the level cap.

Good info, I find I don't accumulate much influence 1-20 so getting 25 IOs seems outta reach. Still having a blast playing though.

This is 1000% what I do all the time. The rare salvage gets the influence for 25/30 level IOs as they are the cheapest
This video feel more useful like an enhacement guide.
hope they update the graphics of this game
And how do you do it SOLO, People do not join TF,s and ect....

Thanks man. I love this game but its way too dependent on group content to level. If you don't find a group or a fire farm carry it can be a slog.
