Just a tip... Don't start and turn off your tractor at full throttle. Start it and turn it off at half throttle. This will extend the life of the engine. Look at what your owner's manual reads:
When starting:
"Push throttle lever (A) up to between 1/2 and fast position."
When turning off:
"Move throttle lever to half throttle position and allow engine to run at half throttle for several seconds."

Just wondering i have same set up for dethatcher , I went to go install quick hitch on mower this week and it won't let me align quick hitch to lock in its pushed right up against my mower deck lift arm bolts have you had this problem?
Hey Sir, can you please share the part # for your quick hitch. The one I have with my 739 is the older model (I think BM19782). My quick hitch uses the same mounting spot as my mower deck. Yours rests on the top and clamps in lower. Mine clamps high and rests in the same slots as the mower deck. Thanks for helping!!

Thanks buddy.... Don't think I will be getting another bagging system until this one starts to fail on me down the road since i paid a boat load for it already lol. But if I do get another system it would be the big boy MCS20... Since money grows on tress LOL Looks like I would just need the dump part and the shoot, but i'm sure that's not cheap. They should send me one for free so I can do a video on it to generate more sales and be a sponsor hahaha (One can only dream)
Watched your videos, and tried to look up that D&L Creative Concepts in Minnesota but all I get is the eBay site and that bracket for the thatcher is not one of the 69 items. Can’t find a number to contact them. How did you get ahold of them? How can I order that bracket? Your help would be appreciated!!

Hey Pete I know this was from a year ago but can you holler at green boy for a second and let me know what you found out about that left side pin on the quick hitch that doesnt have clearance? I'm running into the same issue just got the dethatcher put together with that guys kit
I had to remove the the pin and spin it around in the other direction. It's pretty easy. Just pop the pin out, spin the latch in the other direct, and then put the pin back in. my neighbor did it on his quick hitch also. Good luck and enjoy.

Where did u get the thatcher bracket for the quick hitch...john deerectold me they don't sell it

Great video. I just got a 2018 x738, partially due to watching your vids. Question: Why didn't you bag the thatch while thatching instead of bagging afterwards?
Hey Joe congrats on the new JD. I'm sure you will love it. I have done it like that before, I just wanted to show what the thatcher does to the grass, instead of picking it up right after thatching. I normally bag it at the same time like you said.
Can you mow and control the dethatcher at the same time ?

Yep so was my neighbors. we swapped it around and now it works great.
