I had auto connect parts wore out fast I went to the same shaft you have they are kinda hard to het the pto shaft off the lifting arms not a very fun time doing it.
How do you like your 738? Any problems with it? I’m trying to decide whether to buy one or not within the next 2 days while JD has the 0% for 5 years finance offer. 😬
They are nice machines. No issues, had a hydraulic leak early on, but it was covered under warranty. Otherwise I like it. I had a x320 and a x500 and the x738 is defiantly the flag ship model.
yep, I do the same every year, the same week you did. You could run the Hydraulic hoses from the snow blower thru the black front mounting bracket, the same way as the other two are ran for the Hydraulic piston that is on the black bracket. The way you have it, those 2 hoses from the blower are just hanging out there waiting to get caught on something. I also did what this guy did and made the snowblower "deflector" electric so you can adjust it from the seat. Factory has it manual adjust. see link. ua-cam.com/video/tE819PnpUjE/v-deo.html he also gave the chute more degree of rotation. I did not do that, but I did do the chute deflector mod so I can adjust the height the snow gets blown out of the blower from the seat. Easy mod and not to expensive. John Deere should have this kinda setup from factory for what these tractors and snowblowers cost.
You ain’t lieing folks bought a 7 acre house that had hills to water and putting green. X724 ultimate 4 wheel steer. Local John Deere had bunch of records of normal routine maintenance which was nice but bad cuz the owner didn’t know how to work on it that tells me. Came with sale of house so I learned the ins and outs as I was their handyman. Boy I’ve had to learned just about every twerk and goofy small replacement with this thing from lack of his service interval maintenance. I’ve replaced and learned quite a bit of this machine even the fuel filters and lines in the gas tank which seems excessive for this machine. New ones are quite easier to setup and interchange the summer and winter. These aren’t bad but a bit more getting in ground if yall greenies know what I mean: Hope yall take care of them tractors! Mine is 06/07 now nearly pushing 18 years
Only thing major inconvenience has been the fuel filter and what seems to be a new snowblower edge every year. The shear bolt design is terrible lol but I get the rational thinking at time of being built
also, what do you do with the deck once it is removed? I found where ever you drop it is where it stays as it is to difficult to move once off the tractor.
I clean it up wash it and then grease and lightly oil. I also take the blades off to sharpen. It is a pain to move. I need to find a better way to move when it is off the machine. For storage I stand it up on end and chain it to the wall.
Dude, big hint. Learn the process before you film yourself not knowing what you're doing.
you where not prepared at all to do this video

Noticed you were able to move tractor by hand pushing pedals. How? Did you tap-splice the seat wires?
I made a jumper for the seat plug
This is exactly why we have "REHERSALS"... I mean seriously WTF...???

RTFM!

Use a flat bar lift each side of deck up off cement and then lock wheel locks then you can roll it across floor easier.
@@gml326 that would work. But i just made up a dolly to pick up the deck on to store upright in the corner of garage.
@XboobtubeX smith Only bad thing is sometimes the gear box leaks oil onto the floor when they are not flat
@@georgelehman4970 no issues in 6 years so far, but good to know.
