Gas was super crazy yeap. 5600 this month just did the numbers today. So it's true it's definitely for hustle mentally. If you waiting for somebody to hand you a load or business this ain't for you. But they need plenty people. We run Amazon mostly and we in Florida. But it's good to always check your options. I love your videos. We started a channel but we not as fancy with it. Yall got that📸📹
I bought my truck a year ago yes my costs to run my semi has increased my fuel went from being 1200-1500 max every week to 2800-3000 every week I had to change up my whole style of running but I adjusted thankfully I have some good relationships with brokers so when rates initially tanked I was able to maintain 2.40-2.50 a mile I’ve switched companies so I could move even smarter. It’s just the name of the game it’s either sink or swim 🤷🏾 adjust or get left behind
I love your videos. They are 100% real. So many people are trying to make money off of people and making them think trucking is always sweet and it’s not right. I have been in the trucking business for 7 years semi and box trucking and there are always ups and downs and I do mean always. It’s not for everyone especially if you are not good with money and don’t have the ability to get capital if you need it.
I am in the process of buying a truck right now. I let my friends and neighbors know this is my new business. They tell others , now I have 3 businesses that need a box truck to deliver. Get out there and let people know . What you put in is what you get out of it !
These fuel prices are ridiculously high. Thank God for fuel cards. Prayerfully we will be able to rent our box truck this month. Thank you both for your videos and encouraging words.
Renting a Boxtruck is really high. Have you considered financing a truck. It would be more profitable to pay 1000 a month for a truck instead of 1000 a week
Please do your numbers and plan realistically! I lasted a week with a rental. Buy if you can, even if you get a predatory loan, it'll be way better than renting. 🙏🏾
The DEF system is tow truck companies dream. A tow truck driver told me their business more than double because of this system. So make sure you set money aside for the system to fail because if your truck has it, it's gonna happen. I drive for a trucking company and there're always issues with the DEF systems...ex regin/filter issues, parts go bad, exhaust leaks etc...and running out of DEF is like running out of fuel. Love your content and transparency on your journeys. I've been telling many about your channel. I still keep my head on swivel for y'all when I'm delivering in the Atlanta metro area but y'all everywhere now lol...that's just me honking 🚛 😁👍🏿 stay safe and blessed and get that 💰💰💰💰
I love you guys videos. My son and I started a semi truck business. He suggested we add a box truck and bring his brother in. My husband was our initial investor...Family businesses rock!!!
Can you share a video on a day or week in the back office? I feel like we see everything on the road but the backoffice/admin work is just as important. Not only that when we're home and not just enjoying "our peace" how do we remain productive?
Great observation. Normally a driver would but we don't use our truck money to pay insurance. Our truck is paid for , and whatever is left over after the bills we pay, half of it goes into the truck savings. As far as insurance, we receive commissions from various sources and our insurance comes out of one of those each month so we don't factor it into our truck expenses.
Your content is enough. You all keep me watching but I do understand your thoughts on wanting to be innovative, but don't over think it. We love you all out here in these box truck streets....lol🚛
Someone that's 4 months in business now I would say if you are not really prepared and educated in this biz don't jump in if you got your shit together and you know what you're doing you understand the terminology you researched anything and everything related to this business then go for it. That 1st 90 days with these rates and these diesel prices about broke me but I'm still grinding.
