Considering that the auditor thing has been happening in America for a decade or more, and lots of auditor videos, lots of news reports about them, yet most Americans are still clueless about the legality of the photo/videography process (including the police) so the chances of Brits being remotely aware are slim to non-existent. Most Brits have no clue about the rights of public photography to start with, and our cops are worse than useless.

NA has it right. Sometimes you act in a way that allow the other person to dig the hole they are going to jump into. Other times you need to be very assertive and educate them and let them know that they have fucked up. Every situation is different and practise makes perfect. A good understanding of people's body language helps. And also having all the knowledge before hand puts you in control.

Hi N A, the first encounter with that woman about five minutes in was quite interesting, she was obviously a bit anxious and faced with a totally unfamiliar situation got caught up in her own insecurity to be able to behave in an entirely rational manner, she was reasonable enough in her request that you desist in your efforts but her failure to comprehend your legal right to do as you please was making her life very difficult. Both of them will have to learn from this experience and it is quite common for people to think that they own photons that have reflected from their property. He say you won't do it., she repeats her request based on her belief!. When you explain that you are not bound by GDPR her cannot understand because it conflicts with her cognitive delusions. She is so convinced that she is in the right that she wants to go a dig a bigger hole for herself. Actually there is no legal distinction made between air space over property!, there are some zones where flying is forbidden and that proscribes photography, these zones are all clearly identified on the drone navigation app that fliers have to use, you cannot fly a drone over them but if you could it is the flying that is against the law not the filming. What this poor sap does not realise is that his sad performance is going to get quite a lot of exposure, this is one of the greatest strengths of 'free speech' that it allows all fools full exposure!. When businesses say that they have sensitive client information, that should surely be something that they kept hidden and not laid out in the yard to be blown about in the wind. I know you get the odd business owner showing you about dude but that's quite rare, I see way more people saying that they can't allow it because they don't understand it, nowt so strange as folk
i always get amused when they bring up the "GDPR" card! The "DP" bit stands for data protection, which obviously means it's up to the company to "protect" any data that needs protecting, not the general public being able to see and/or video it!

The drone operator told them numerous times what he was doing was completely legal & lawful but they chose to ignore him believing that they were right. Maybe they ought to come back out and apologise when they found out that the Operator was doing nothing wrong.

You do tend to give the impression that you are asking for permission....I know you tell them otherwise, but initially you appear to be asking rather than telling. However it amazes me how quickly they escalate things when you insist on filming/drone flying.
Everyone in this video was absolutely sure that they knew all the laws of photography when in fact they knew less than a little of it. I was actually embarrassed for them, as they are going to be (unfortunately) made to look absolute fools when they pull up a pouffe with a coffee and watch their mishaps on UA-cam. When businesses say that they have sensitive client information, that should surely be something that they kept hidden and not laid out in the yard to be blown about in the wind. I know you get the odd business owner showing you about dude but that's quite rare, I see way more people saying that they can't allow it because they don't understand it, nowt so strange as folk

i always get amused when they bring up the "GDPR" card! The "DP" bit stands for data protection, which obviously means it's up to the company to "protect" any data that needs protecting, not the general public being able to see and/or video it!

It really does suprise me how thick and stupid some people are. These employees are the worst. If they kept their noses out of people's rights they would have a great day at work. They think they know the laws and what they don't know they make up as they go along. The drone operator told them numerous times what he was doing was completely legal & lawful but they chose to ignore him believing that they were right. Maybe they ought to come back out and apologise when they found out that the Operator was doing nothing wrong.
The lady sounded to me, like Mavis in Coronation Street, but then again, I'm a Londoner and you all sound the same to me.😂

You do tend to give the impression that you are asking for permission....I know you tell them otherwise, but initially you appear to be asking rather than telling.
However it amazes me how quickly they escalate things when you insist on filming/drone flying.
Everyone in this video was absolutely sure that they knew all the laws of photography when in fact they knew less than a little of it. I was actually embarrassed for them, as they are going to be (unfortunately) made to look absolute fools when they pull up a pouffe with a coffee and watch their mishaps on UA-cam.
