team17: ok, how exactly are we going to make this song about war, death, and nuclear annihilation into a bop Bjørn Lynne: hold my bazooka edit: there you go
Thank you for adding all of them together so we can hear the full story of Boggy B. Always loved the songs, well Armageddon was the first I played. I had all gold medals and a lot of fun.
Also it is interesting how in the last wormsong there are no chantings anymore. I like to think the worms are in some kind of lust for war so they just don't care anymore they just want to finish it all and so the Armageddon weapon was born.
I just recently realized, that the songs even have lyrics. I started playing Worms Armageddon on PS1 when I was 10 and just wanted to play. And also I couldn't understand English. So I just forgot it. Now I need to buy the game again. Also the Armageddon Soundtrack is the best I think. It sounds richer than the others.
We played Worms back then on the Amiga. It all started with a 2(?) level demo disc from a magazine. I guess it was Amiga Games. Ah, we had so much fun :)
I discovered on the amiga version if you quickly press left, left, right, right (or the other way around) you can do a poke which wasn't a selectable weapon. I think that's the first Easter egg I ever discovered in a game. I was probably about ten years old!
It's rather sad that after all his heroism, Boggy B doesnt even make it to the end of the war, he's killed senselessly and pointlessly, like so many others.
A lot of people's favourite seems to be Armageddon, but for me personally, it's Reloaded. Yes, I DID play Armageddon back in the day alongside World Party. I still have the old disc copies.
In Worms 2, Worms Armageddon and Worms World Party, whenever a worm is hit you can see pink bits flying off of them. In Worms 2, typing "**REDBLOOD**" and hitting backspace turns those particles red, so it was a cheat. In Worms Armageddon, this cheat had to be unlocked through completing missions. In Worms World Party those cheats were moved to the Wormpot instead, where "blood" is one of the options. It's interesting to me that blood is used to such tiny amounts throughout the series and that the rating systems never mentions it or cares. In Worms 2, the "Start single-player mission" menu button shows a worm jumping out of a bush and headshotting another worm. The bullet doesn't just go through the head, there's also red stuff gushing out the back of its head. Despite that and the blood cheat in that game, the USK rated it "6+". The original Worms, despite having a much grittier art style, never depicts any blood. Worms Armageddon has its bloody icon for the blood cheat, and Worms World Party depicts a Worm drowning in its own pool of blood for the Wormpot option. Worms 3D has some concept art depicting blood, most notably this one: i.pinimg.com/originals/27/fc/a3/27fca319301546d2b29b6e1a682eca52.jpg Worms Forts shows Worms getting decapitated and sliced with swords, however it remains cartoony without any blood (you just see a femur bone stick out of their necks). Worms 4 Mayhem/Ultimate Mayhem never shows any blood for the Worms themselves, but some maps show mangled humans missing arms or the top of their body (and yes, it's red). Worms Open Warfare 2 also had a rather silly decapitation cutscene but just like Worms Forts, it remains cartoony and ungory. The backside of the Worms Open Warfare box art uses blood spurts as bullet points for its feature list. So, yeah. It's kinda weird to me how this series is normally full-on cartoony and slapstick violence and then in those very few moments they stop giving a damn and insert the red stuff.
The PC versions of Worms Generation 2 always have blood. Turning the blood red is a cheat in Worms 2, a scheme option in Armageddon, and a Wormpot reel in World Party.
@@Thornskade Worms 1 reinforcements has blood too, there's a level in the challenge mode specifically called "armour" in which you play on a pile of corpses belonging to ancient soldiers, you can even see some impaled but the blood shown is just gray, however the map uses red as the color of the water As for worms 4 mayhem, there's some unused particle that was never documented anywhere however, from what i recall somebody managed to modify a weapon in such a manner so that it spawns blood particles on the worms
In the other worm's games there's hope of winning the war in worm armaggedon the world is litteraly falling apart even boggy B dies. Does this mean that every succeding worm game is a prequel?
No, it seems that Team17 retconned Armageddon's wormsong a bit because the worms are still fighting and boggy b is still alive and was even a weapon in the 2.5D games.
@@green11ndy aah okay….cause…Y’know the last time I saw that particular one it was when it had that wtf boom sound effect and that sorta scared me. So I was making sure this was the original one and not the other one

They went so unnecessarily hard on the music that they've transcended the Worms games themselves, in my opinion

That's '03, actually.
Game: Family Fun
Story: *everyone fucking dies*
I mean, everyone usually die in the games too.
Everyone loves Armageddon, but nothing beats the original first generation and this almighty song.
i think most of us discovered worms with Armageddon
As a recent Armageddon fan, I very much agree that the first is still tons of fun on all the platforms it's on.
@@TheRealNintendoKidI discovered it with Reloaded/Ultimate Mayhem

I wonder if there ever will be a human warrior who comes even remotely close to Boggy B in levels of legendary heroism.
nice sync for the "suddenly heard a 'click'"
Armageddon is the best one
Dudeeee
I still play worms armageddon and world party.
Ok, how the HECK did this war start?
It had something to do with worms I think.
“I have no idea!”
Because they can. They are frickin' worms!
It started when Archie Duke shot an ostrich because he was hungry
It first started when the Worms went to war, many moons ago, with weapons bigger and better than before...
we are worms and we're armed and we come to win this war!!
It's rather sad that after all his heroism, Boggy B doesnt even make it to the end of the war, he's killed senselessly and pointlessly, like so many others.
Boggy B didn't die senselessly, he died because he was retarded. :P

who watch this music vid today?
Worms is pretty dark you when think about it.
Huh. I guess that explains why my childhood was also filled with dark moments…
Thank you, I was aware only of the first song.
I love how you saved the best til last!

...and worms eat shit.
this is freaking awesome

We had joy, we had fun
We had seasons in the sun
But the hills that we climbed
Were just seasons out of time

I just realised the worms bleed in the pc version of Worms Armageddon.

Seems like only now is the ESRB catching on due to the Worms Armageddon Anniversary Edition. They rated it Teen and gave a blood content descriptor.
