I can identify with your matte black addiction. I even have matte black sunglasses. I am a painter and my subjects have a black matte background. It makes the color pop and you focus on the item. I just bought new facets for our bath Reno in matte black. I am with you girl!
Before I get rid of an accessory that I like the shape of, but the color just doesn’t do it for me, I usually will paint it matte black first to see if I can still incorporate it. And I regret nothing .
I'm one of the ones who never EVER would have used black. I've followed you since last summer, and when we painted our guest room in our new house, I got brave enough to do a black wall/alcove. Everyone thought I was nuts and it would look awful, but it turned out looking very classy and I love it! And.... So does everyone else 😁 it adds depth to the room, and takes what would have been boring, to a beautiful cozy level.
I've had it in my head to do a black accent wall behind my bed for a year, now. I bought the paint, and I'm waiting on my SO to go do his out of town gig so I don't have to hear his objections while I work. 😄
Yes to matte black, and you gave great ideas for how to incorporate the color. You asked if we have black hooks? Yup. We redid our powder bath with a dark green paint on the upper wall, white headboard on the lower, and all matte black hardware: faucet, towel hook, door knob, and toilet paper holder. LOVE!!! Everyone who uses our tiny half-bath comments on how they love the look.
In the 90's, I learned from a designer in New Orleans that, even in a monochromatic neutral room, always add a little black; it gives your eye a place to "land" when you look at a room. It can be a base on an art sculpture, books, or accent pillows, etc. I've taken that advice over the years, and it ALWAYS works. If it isn't a design rule, it ought to be!
My family hates black, especially in home settings. I decided to paint my room all white with an accent black color and had sconces to either side of the bed and change everything to wood, white, and black and now my family can’t get enough of it! They really like the black and have incorporated more into the house design. Black is such an elegant and versitile color
I changed to black doorknobs, black light fixtures, and black curtains rods. I just bought a matte black ash coffee table. I love it! I spray painted my gold metal side tables, matte black. My home is feeling more like me than ever before.
My Mother, who was 92, last year, when she passed, has told me all of my adult years, that every room needs something black in it. She was always a pretty good room decorator, too. I still adhere to her 'rule'.
Can’t believe I was 22hrs late on watching my absolute favorite channel! 99% of my wardrobe is black, you’ve helped me stop fighting myself on bringing it into my home!
I discovered House of Valentina several weeks ago and was elated to find this video last week. For years ( 30+0 I have incorporated black in my homes. I have major black pieces of furniture in every room and have black accents throughout. The paint throughout my home is off white, and I use blue and tangerine for pops of color. Your suggestion of black dinnerware promoted me to order a set from West Elm last week. Although I live alone (my husband died 16 years ago) in a 55+ community, I find comfort and joy in my home. Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm and joy for life, family and home. Blessings!!
I just bought a house and I’m having it painted before I move in. The office had an accent wall in chocolate brown. I was going to change it to a muted plum or raisin color, but couldn’t find one that I loved. I decided to see what Behr had for their interior paint collection for 2022. One of the colors was a deep charcoal, almost black color called ‘Cracked Pepper’. I went with it and saw the first coat last night…… it’s going to look great!!
You are an absolute delight and inspiration. Your superpower is your passion and love for inspiring people to create beauty around them. In these last few years, it has been such a joy to have your voice in our lives!
I would love to see you style black bedding! It’s so hard to find inspiration, and it is challenging to make it look good. But, having black bedding is way more functional than white! I have white bedding now, but I really want to find a way to make black bedding look good
A year ago, I built my home from the bottom up (well hired a contractor) :). While doing extensive research, I stumbled upon your UA-cam channel and my decisions were sealed with matte black... I used it extensively throughout my home..... So cheers for that! I'm always a lover of black but never fathom such a bold move was possible. And yeah, you are right, once I started, I was obsessed... So I painted my master bedroom matte black 🖤🖤
I installed a matte black kitchen counter in 2020 with the long coordinating cabinet handles. I’ve always incorporated black into my space. It’s formal, sexy, easy, and sophisticated.
My husband and I just closed on our new build last September. We were looking forward to picking white cabinets but after seeing matte black cabinets in another home we knew we had to go black. So happy we did! It's my favorite thing in our home 🙂
I have been trying to get my SO to trust me about painting the cabinets black. My friend and her husband buy and rehab/renovate homes in their neighborhood, and she did a black kitchen, doors, and a black accent wall. It was gorgeous, and it sold the day they listed it.
How have they held up? I've seen black cabinets in some homes but if they aren't solid wood, they tend to look pretty bad in about two years (scratches, scuffs, etc.) even when the people who live in the house don't cook
I’m a new subscriber to your channel. I was attracted to this subject of matte black for the following reasons. I moved into a house in Palm Desert, CA in 2014. It came with wonderful plantation shutters but they had seen better days. My son brought his new girlfriend (now wife) to my house. I knew she was the manager of a showroom for a major designer in LA (plus having gone to NY School of Design). As I showed them my new home, I made the comment that I wasn’t sure what color to paint the shutters and she said, “What about black?” Instantly I knew she gets me just seeing the way I decorate and the fact I like drama in my home. After the weekend I hired a painter to paint all the shutters black. Everyone who visited that home would say “Wow, who would have thought to paint the shutters black-and of course, I gave her the credit. We have all since moved to south Florida and I’m carrying out that black theme in my condo with knobs, some furniture, and accessories. I also have a perfect place to shop for them because my daughter-in-law opened a shop in West Palm Beach with a wonderful vibe of furniture and accessories.
I love that you love black as much as I love black! My primary bedroom, dining room and powder room are all SW Peppercorn, doors are Tricorn Black and we just had our kitchen cabinets painted black last week! It has absolutely transformed the look of our kitchen. My husband and sons were just teasing me that soon our whole house will be black. Um, no. It will be grey, white and beige, too! 🖤🖤🖤
Ten years ago i remodeled our bathroom. We have a Small home with white ceramic tile , but the entire bathroom was pink - So on the floor i chose black matte tile in the same 12 x 12 size (as the rest of the existing tile) results are stunning! At that time i had to special order the black tile because "no one ever buys black ' Not to mention the crap i took until it became a "thing"! Surprised how similar our styles and thought processes are. New subbie girl!
Thanks to HOV, I have embraced many matte black elements into my rustic cottage style home. Lighting, door hardware, bathroom accessories, coffee maker, etc. I love how it grounds a space. The only downside is that it shows dust faster than lighter colored items, but a few extra minutes with the swifter duster is worth it.
So I LOVE this video! My home is 95% black and white with accents of gray, creams, and shades of brown. I have a matte black dining table, desk, bedside tables, credenza, dishes, vases,, and a few accents in my master bathroom so this video is right up my alley! So much fun!
THIS IS THE VERY REASON IS STARTED FOLLOWING YOU 🖤 There is not very many designers that use black the way you do. You know when, where and how to use it. You help remind me that just bc someone cringes when I say “paint it black” without singing it lol it’s okay 👍 bc every time I’ve used it people either don’t notice it or they really love it. Thank you!
Valentina, I love you! I have a home half the size of yours....a brick ranch style from the 50s! I'm always trying to make it look like Valentinas black and white piece of heaven! ❤
I’m so in love with matte black as well and thinking of painting my bedroom and ceiling😂 is that too much Valentina? Lol!!! Definitely doing my fireplace and wall above it.
I’ve painted everything black that I can because of you 😂 stair case, main door, fireplace, kitchen cabinets & im waiting to paint a black room 😍😍😍 thank you to our virtual designer queeeeeen
We remodeled a bathroom and kitchen a few months ago and we installed black faucets in both. I love them 😍😍😍😍😍😍. We also had a custom made almost frameless glass shower panel in black and it's stunning. I have been incorporating more black into my home and I definitely think that it is fabulous. I am on the hunt for a light fixture for above my dinning room and I want it in black.
Yes! Generally I prefer grey + dark wood but my fireplace (plus the wall) is black. And I've just got black furniture (a desk + cabinets) from Ikea for my study/office. And I have a similar black vase from H&M, I love it.
I love this. I love all types of black. I feel I should have been doing this all along, since the late 80’s & 90’s. I’ve always loved it. I’ve been trying to embrace colors but it turns out I didn’t need to as much as I thought.
I absolutely love watching you and your husband, I always wanted to be a interior designer but considering I have not become that I just watch one of the best!! I am always sharing your videos and asking my daughter if she seen this video and that video that you have posted. LOL!! I absolutely love The house of Valentina Thank you so much for sharing your talent and educating all of us
I have always loved black but never used it on the walls. I just painted our fireplace and 2 side walls black and I LOVE it! It made the room look larger! I plan on using more of it as soon as I decide where!
I painted an accent wall and absolutly love it. My family and friends thought I was crazy then now they're like "WOW". Now, I'm decorating my house around black accents! Thank you Valentina!😘
I’ve been considering honed black granite for our future kitchen reno. I also painted my upright piano matte black and love it! Really elevated the living room
I just painted my daughter's old bedroom a light gray, SW Hint of Mist. Because I converted it to my fitness room, I didn't want white trim or doors because of the high contrast. I wanted calm and soothing. So I used the cashmere branded wall paint on the baseboards, window trim and doors. Oh, my goodness, what a difference that makes in the small room. Now the old white trim doesn't draw your eye to it. It was a perfect use of low contrast in the space. I never would have thought of it until I saw your office space. Thank you! Linda
I discovered matte black last year and fell in love. To me it’s a sophisticated neutral. I’m not at the point where I want a black wall, but accessories etc…are a BIG yes for me.
I love that you always encourage us to try new things and to do it the way we want….that everything doesn’t have to be done one specific way. Shopping our own homes first and playing with different pieces and elements to figure out what brings us joy. Your videos are full of such amazing tips and info, but it’s never overbearing. So refreshing!!
I’m a high gloss girl. I recently spray painted an oak TV tray black and now I have a new space to decorate. You’ve taught me so much about creating moments of beauty around the house. Thank you.
I had my husband spray paint a vase I got at Goodwill. It looks like a donut with a hole. Great find. I asked him to spray it matte black. He is still shaking his head, but I love it. Yep, I’m a cool girl. Just part of the magic that is me. Lol
I'm doing my bathroom in classic black and white using matte black for the first time ever and I am obsessed. Have a DR table with stainless top and wood legs. Then, I stripped and painted trim and it is just awesome. And, that red door I saw down the street? Well, you can probably guess what happens next.
I saw a suggestion once to paint little random animal statues matte black and scatter them. Now I'm going to go look at thrift stores etc for some to paint! Graf Lantz has some gorgeous black bins in a heavy Marino felt--I have several and loooove them!
Congratulations on hitting 250k!!! I have always loved black but had never painted walls black until a few years ago. I finally had the courage to paint the dining room in our vacation home a smoky black/ gray and I absolutely love it! It’s so luxurious! Then when I started watching your channel a few months ago I painted the master bath white with the darkest black cabinets I could find. It’s stunning! Now in our main home I’ve convinced my husband to let me paint his grandmother’s 1940’s furniture in some of the colors you recommended (night club/cracked pepper) since I covered her chairs in navy blue patterned fabric. Now he can be happy that I didn’t get rid of it and I can be happy that it’s no longer 1940’s high gloss mahogany. Win-win! Thank you for all the inspiration!
Valentina, I loved this video. I love matte black and am trying to transition to it in my home. I bought candlesticks and small accessories and I can't wait to change my kitchen faucet! And congratulations on achieving your goal of 250K!
A few years ago, I had a lot of the common areas of my house painted SW Mindful Gray. I wavered between liking it, tolerating it, and absolutely hating it. So I had a color consultant come in with the intention of repainting everything a new color. She walked in, looked around, and said: paint these two walls dark gray, specifically BM Arctic Seal. The space was transformed! The soft neutrals that blended into the lighter color now popped against the almost black color. The vibe of the room was suddenly much edgier. And the way it plays off the Mindful Gray - I love the combination. To other subscribers: I highly recommend starting small - it has a big impact, and you can always paint more later.
We have a 3,000 square foot house w/ a lot of doors. We took two or three doors each evening when my husband got off work….and switched out the hinges and knobs on doors to matte black. I was the “helper” and handed him the screws, parts, etc. Went so quickly! And the difference is splendid! Our den is black over textured wallpaper (didn’t want to remove it!) and is loooovely! Our bar lounge is a deep, moody gray, almost black. So rich!
Love me some Matt Black as Karlie stated in one of the comments , she paints her objects in Matt black before getting rid of it . I have painted recently a tall wooden pot & love it with my eucalyptus to go into . Also used peel & stick Matt black textured paper & wrapped a sideboard & a drinks cabinet ( it now looks like leather) 🥰. I did this because My husband would not be adventurous as me to paint my walls black 🥴 maybe one day 🙏🏻🇬🇧 P.S I hope your cold gets better Valentina ❤️xxxx
Congratulations on 250 thousand subscribers 🎉 🎉🎉🎉..I'm sure by the end of this year channel will hit half a million subscribers.. I absolutely love your style. You inspired me to get some matte black elements for my home.
YES! Love matte black! There isn't a room in my house that doesn't have this color as either the main wall color (pool bath and bonus room) or as an accent. I recently renovated our kitchen and chose a black composite sink from Blanco with the Delta Trinsic high arc faucet in matte black and it looks gorgeous agains white cabinets, antique brass hardware/light fixtures and Swanbridge Cambria quartz countertops. Every time I walk down the stairs, that kitchen sink is the first thing I see and I just love it!
Thanks for another video with ideas to use right away - granted I am completely redoing my condo. I'm even sending back the Tuscan Bronze kitchen faucet that arrived in the mail to pick up one that is Matte Black because it will be a better match with the dark gray cabinets and tile I have planned. And last night I bought matte black hooks and cabinet hardware for the bathroom (that has the Tuscan Bronze faucet). I was going to purchase hooks and handles that match with the faucet but this just stands out so nicely. Also, matte black is around my home in so many places. It really elevates the home.
Isn't it funny that I was just looking around my kitchen wondering if I should change my knobs and pulls which are matte black and have been since we remodeled it in 2012. I was ahead of my time! Guess I'll be leaving them because I do love them. I have been adding quite a few matte black elements to my home including spray painting repurposed vases from Goodwill et cetera. Loving it!
I painted my accent wall black in my dining room before I found your channel. I was unsure about it at first. I love it! I even changed my doorknobs to matte black. However, now that you be found you… I want to add MORE BLACK!! You make me feel good about loving black 😃😄
its so interesting the influence of a person you don't even know , we are very much alike even if I don't know you completely ! you know Its been a while I didn't dream, your videos are making me see how I want to see my house. For some people this is a silly thing, but for me I want to live in beauty , whatever beauty is to me. I used to visit this old woman's house, she had so many trinkets, or some they might see this as tacky, but it was lovely to me, it was who she was on the inside, these little sculptures that she found beautiful and that made her live in her dream world, placing things in certain ways etc... This is what I think of design . we need to see the beauty in everything that is not necessarily our style. This has nothing to do with your video but its just to say that you are making a difference in my life, I just really feel happy when I see your videos and I immediately want to start doing things in my home (my husband keeps asking me to stop talking about your channel :D ). You are helping me find my style that i really couldn't point my finger too before! My question to you is , molding framing etc...do you leave it the same colour or do you paint that as well? like if you are painting a room a dark colour with white pop outs here an there ,do I paint them as well or do I leave them? what do you think about painting callings dark?
Congrats! I am a true believer of black and white. My guest bathroom (toilet) is mat black already for years and years. My living room has mat black-brown wall. I always get compliments how cosy this room is and the TV disappear on that wall. Love it
Love love love matt Black, in the house and surprisingly........ matt black motorbikes......😁 matt black looks so sophisticated and textural. Congrats on 250k subscriber's, you all deserve the success. Sending love and well wishes from the UK
I have had to redecorate on a very low budget and Several years ago I actually spray painted some hardback books for decoration and used Matte black & gray I absolutely love them
You’re so amazing. I watch your videos everyday lol. Thanks for your inspiration and you do a fabulous job of including photos of what you’re explaining which is so helpful. You’re so good at styling and beautiful and well spoken on camera!!! 🖤🥇😄
Thank you for these awesome guidelines to using matte black. I'm cautious about everything so I like the "baby step" approach with introducing matte black with accessories. I'm excited!
Hey Valentina! As a minimalist I totally appreciate your unique touches in your home I recently extended my dark gray ( I know grey is out for the season😢) walls in my bedroom onto the closet doors and entry doors. My question is, do you also paint the crown molding?🤓
Congratulations on the 250k subscribers Valentina!!🎉You definitely deserve the success you are awesome!! I have loved decorating with black for years so I have found so much inspiration from you. You’ve thought me how to put it all together in a new modern way.
Yes for the matt black faucet! I redid my condo kitchen, and even though the black angular, minimalist faucet was almost as expensive as the sink, it's one of the joys i get using my new kitchen. Not only is it perfectly aesthetic with the rest of the color scheme (teal, grey, black and stainless steel), but the touch when I use it. It looks so elegant doing what it was designed to do.
I am about to go out and exchange a Tuscan Bronze kitchen faucet for a black matte faucet that I think will work so much better. I love both actually but this is the right look!
@@marychristensen7386 oooh! I love the look of bronze hardware, especially when it's paired with red toned woods, it's looks so nice. Good luck with your new faucet, I'm sure it's going to look great 😃
My black bathroom faucets looked amazing until the hard water stains made them look completely horrible. HELP!! There's this white crusty buildup that seems to be from the water. I have no idea what to use to get rid of it and bring back the beauty. The matte black hardware in our shower has also lost the beauty due to the same reason. I hope someone can offer a solution🙏🏽
@@AJ-gj6eq hmmm, I'm surprised CLR doesn't help with your hard water stains. That's what I use when cleaning tough hard water stains. If you own your house, I've heard water softeners can help, you should research how to use those. Or purchase them and ask your landlord to add them (otherwise they'll be likely to "forget" if they have to pay). I do know that some products exist for repainting and adding a matte glaze to help with chipping, if you need to repair your matte black finishes. I'd talk to a plumber or someone at the hardware store for help controlling this issue. As a LAST resort, I'd consider mixing metals/ finishes and replace the faucet to suit the spaces so your hardware doesn't look bad. But you shouldn't have to do that unless you have no other way to solve it.
Painted my bathroom cabinets matte black several years ago with BM cream linen walls. Spouse initially questioned my colour choices but liked it after see colours together
I love black accents all over the place and have finally agreed to let my son have three black walls in his bedroom - the ceiling will stay white, there is a warm timber floor and bed frame, and he is really into Spiderman with it's red and blue. I love that the colour is called 'Ace of Clubs'. We are in close contact lockdown this week, so painting is just the thing to help pass the time - I can't wait too. Thanks for helping me decide to go for it.
Natasha, your comment made me laugh and think back to a story my Dad told me about when he was a teenager in the 1960s. He painted his whole bedroom black, black bedding, but had a bright orange telephone ☎️ Haha! Apparently, his dad flipped out but oh well. My Dad thought it was psychedelic man! 🤣😁😂
I agree. You should have black accents somewhere in your home like soft muted charcoal colors. I refinished some Mid-Century modern furniture and I painted the piece Poppyseed Black by Behr--top quality grade(budget friendly ) and it is in our bedroom. I loved the look so much that I also did a book shelf too... I did it in the matte finish and it is beautiful! I don't know if I would go quite so crazy with black on all the walls... I'm an artist so I live for color... And lots of reflective and natural light is what we aspire to surround us with... But I am always open to experimenting... Try something new! 😊
Congratulations 🎉🎊on reaching 250,000 subscribers 🥳🥳yay , your very enjoyable to watch , I most love when you show the stores and fantastic offers, I live in Perth Australia so it’s been three years since I visited US ,oh how I miss the stores and searching for a bargain again, Thank you for taking me back, and hopefully I might get back to visit my Son and Family very soon! I’m not a lover of Black anywhere in my home, but you put it all together very nicely, you are a very strong woman, keep them videos coming🥰☘️🇮🇪
Loved this video and congratulations on 250K subs!! 🎉 Black has been my color for as long as I can remember. I recall wanting to paint my room black when I was 16. My mom said no (she thought I was just a in "dark" phase lol). Also, the majority of my wardrobe was and still is black, lol! Since I wasn't able to paint my room black, I started using elements of black, be it a vase, chair legs, shelving, stools, baskets, etc. I still do that, but am adding more. My current bedroom is small but I may do a matte black wall get a comfy, black chair to add to my reading corner.
I have gained @200K in equity the pass two years as homes here in Scottsdale have skyrocketed in price. It was just the psychological ‘permission’ I needed to re-decorate, LOL. I am binge watching Valentina’s videos for ideas. Thank you from the cool guy who loves matte black!👏🏽🌵😎
That was a fun coffee break! 😁🖤. I LOVE all your ideas for decorating and accessorizing with matte black! I was hooked with the first video that I watched of yours. November 2020, I remember it well! I fell in love with your office wall color!!!
Valentina ....We are definitely Kinder Spirt. I love black we used it all over our home .....especially on our doors , fireplace deep dark color ....accents all around with our walls done in Simply White by BM....We are now moving in to the main bedroom you got it Matte Blk for the one wall and Simply white yes all over ceiling /baseboards to allow the black behind out headboard ...its going to look awesome due to you giving a tour of your home so absolutely outside the box thinking Congratulations you deserve this milestone cheers 🥂
I now feel like one of the cool kids! Twelve years ago when we built our house I requested a black metal roof. And black outdoor light fixtures (the cheapest “nautical” ones at Home Depot because we get lots of salt spray and it quickly rots pretty much all metal fixtures, cheap to replace). Now I know I want to have a black front door! I also have black honed-granite countertops. So excited to keep going!
I live in a high demand historic area in my city. The homes are all old, well-built, and different from one another. I have been contemplating painting the house we bought (and are renovating) black, and my SO flatly refused, until we walked the neighborhood and saw a house where the homeowner did just that. It looks amazing, and I now have his blessing. 😄 In our current home, I painted all the interior doors satin black with matte black hardware. The trim is white. It looks amazing, and very "expensive". DO IT!!
You are definitely my favorite interior designer! I love your style, and you're full of great advice, tips, and give plenty of examples! Your enthusiasm is contagious, and by the end of your videos--it NEVER FAILS!--I'm always feel better than I had before, and I'm always excited to get out there and try some of your helpful tips!
I can identify with your matte black addiction. I even have matte black sunglasses. I am a painter and my subjects have a black matte background. It makes the color pop and you focus on the item. I just bought new facets for our bath Reno in matte black. I am with you girl!

I heard the same from a designer in New Orleans in the 90's. It's like a closely held design secret!
Every room DOES need something black.
A great aunt of mine decorated the same way. She was a very refined woman and had great taste.
1 thing black, and one thing antique.
We work with interior designers. #1 advice from many is…every room needs a touch of black. Best advice. Matte black, there in a ♥️ beat!

I just bought a house and I’m having it painted before I move in. The office had an accent wall in chocolate brown. I was going to change it to a muted plum or raisin color, but couldn’t find one that I loved. I decided to see what Behr had for their interior paint collection for 2022.
Please share a picture ....I am not into black but I am trying some of V's recommendation as it relates to accessories.
I love Tricorn Black too
Thanks for naming your colors. I just looked them up and they are striking!
Love peppercorn too👍
Ten years ago i remodeled our bathroom.
Thanks V! Just upgraded the indoor knobs and bathroom plumbing to black and I’m so so thrilled!
The reason I watch your channel is you know branding and design, but you’re also relatable.
Thank you Fiona!
Oh, I love a dark charcoal gray in matte too. It's close to black, still gives the classic look but just a different twist.
I absolutely love watching you and your husband, I always wanted to be a interior designer but considering I have not become that I just watch one of the best!! I am always sharing your videos and asking my daughter if she seen this video and that video that you have posted. LOL!!
I absolutely love The house of Valentina
Thank you so much for sharing your talent and educating all of us
I have always loved black but never used it on the walls.
Trying to catch up on your latest videos. Loved this one! Congrats on reaching 250,000! :)
Literally cracking open a matt black pot of paint, made chalky for easy furniture painting and you pop up.....💜 hey from the UK 🇬🇧
I’m a high gloss girl. I recently spray painted an oak TV tray black and now I have a new space to decorate. You’ve taught me so much about creating moments of beauty around the house. Thank you.
Congratulation on 250,000. I really enjoy your channel, you’re attitude and enthusiasm is contagious. I love your style.
The element of matte black is cheek and classic. Commanding the space.
I love the idea of black, especially mat black in the home!
I recently started adding matte black to my home in accessories. I couldn’t be happier with the result.
Always inspired when I watch your videos. You literally made me want to work hard to get my own house
Matte black is truly a fav of mine. Indeed it's a definite go to in decor elements.
I am addicted to having black in my home since I began watching your chanenel.! ❤
I redid my main bathroom with matte black fixtures, wall shelves, outlet and wall switch cover and I love it all ❤️
I saw a suggestion once to paint little random animal statues matte black and scatter them. Now I'm going to go look at thrift stores etc for some to paint!
Graf Lantz has some gorgeous black bins in a heavy Marino felt--I have several and loooove them!
Just painted my dining room ceiling matte black. I love it! Next all interior doors
LOVED this video! Using the matte black on kitchen hardware and accessories right now. Thanks, Cool Girl!!
I just bought a entry bench in black, white cushion. Love it.
I love matte black. Black is my favorite color. congrats on 250K! A million soon.
I traded in my colors for matte black & wow…what an impressive improvement! You inspired the definitive upgrade!👍🏻
So rich!
🎉 🙌 woohoo 250k! Yes! Well done!
You have literally changed my life and house with all your fantastic ideas! You are a lovely lady too. 🇳🇴
Same I'm like a 🧙♀️ 🧹, I just love black everything, as long as its matte.👌
Same here!
Congratulations Valentina and Jack for your 250,000. I've been with you guys since WAY before 100,000. So happy for you!!!
Whoohoo! You guys deserve it. Cool Girl for sure.
Those first pillars are stunning!!!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!🙌🙌🙌🍾🥂🥳🥳. So well-deserved!!! Such amazing content…keep it comin’!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Congratulations on the 250k subscribers Valentina!!🎉You definitely deserve the success you are awesome!! I have loved decorating with black for years so I have found so much inspiration from you. You’ve thought me how to put it all together in a new modern way.
Thank you so much for sharing this!
Same here! Just… well… All of the above in fact. And congrats to 250 000, Valentina! So well deserved! 👌 Cheers from Sweden 🇸🇪 🎊
🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Yes for the matt black faucet! I redid my condo kitchen, and even though the black angular, minimalist faucet was almost as expensive as the sink, it's one of the joys i get using my new kitchen. Not only is it perfectly aesthetic with the rest of the color scheme (teal, grey, black and stainless steel), but the touch when I use it. It looks so elegant doing what it was designed to do.
And a faucet is something we look at and use every day!
You have worked so hard on your presentations...I am very happy to hear of your 250K subscribers.
Painted my bathroom cabinets matte black several years ago with BM cream linen walls. Spouse initially questioned my colour choices but liked it after see colours together
Congratulations on the first 250K! ❤️ Who knew so many people have such great taste!
Congratulations 🎉🎊on reaching 250,000 subscribers 🥳🥳yay , your very enjoyable to watch , I most love when you show the stores and fantastic offers, I live in Perth Australia so it’s been three years since I visited US ,oh how I miss the stores and searching for a bargain again,
Thank you for taking me back, and hopefully I might get back to visit my Son and Family very soon!
That’s awesome Davis!
@@HouseofValentina Have already ordered the black RH dresser, my design guru. If Jack gets that excited about it, feel like I can’t go wrong.😜
I’ve painted my sitting room in Farrow & Ball Matt black three years ago and I absolutely loved it beautiful against bronze too x
Congratulations 🎉 on reaching 250,000 subscribers ❤️
Love mate black, especially in accessories!!!
In our current home, I painted all the interior doors satin black with matte black hardware. The trim is white. It looks amazing, and very "expensive". DO IT!!
@@Salemagnet28 You house sounds gorgeous!
I’m over here taking notes on how to make my home the main character 😍
I have never liked the color black, but I can see myself using these same tips with dark brown. I enjoy your videos very much. Thank you!
Congrats on passing 250K!! 🙌🏻
