Absolute paradise. This November is 20 years since my first trip and I regret nothing other then not coming to the Kingdom sooner. Love your channel mate. 😊edit: I loved your action at the end of the vdo👍
Hats” off to you mate 😂 stunning views up there with the drone, thought it was great the butterfly flew to you when you done the bell. Did look a bit on the hot side up there .Chris.
lol, that was funny. It was steaming by the time we got up there Chris and I’m happy that we made the effort to return and get some drone footage. Cheers
I never really thought of it like that Brock, definitely convenient though. I got a shock on that rock when I tried to raise my head and hit a tree branch! A bit precarious. Cheers
@@karlsthailand You need to always protect yourself Karl!!! I tell my husband all the time because you don’t want any skin cancer 😱 At least put some sunscreen on your head 😬Don’t wanna sound like a mother 😉
You was walking like Charlie Chaplin coming down those steps, Karl. That hat is going to have some stories to tell. Hopefully the rains will give it a natural wash before the next person borrows it. I wouldn't mind a bit of camping in that spot you mentioned. Beautiful...cheers Karl, I enjoyed that.
Stairs yess!! there're back. The last strip was a Russian roulette it seems. Astounding views again and again. Great work(out) I'm thinking of the people that welded those steel stairs together around and in between the rocks. Craftsmen they are.
I must admit that I do like the mountainous locations but you just have to take them as they come. It never fails to impress me when I think of the dedication involved in creating and maintaining these places. Cheers
@@karlsthailand Fully agree Karl. These constructions seemingly in the middle of nowhere must have been very labour intensive. Not even mentioning the climate, dangers and logistics (how does one weld without electricity?)
First thing I must have before going out of the door in Thailand is my hat. Nothing worse than a badly burnt head. Good karma to return the hat also. Great video. Stayed in Wang Nam Khiao a couple of years back on a new eco camp site that backed into the forest. Cool little place. Wanted to explore and will when I return. Cheers Karl.
The drone connects to the controller but with too weak a signal to take off…even if it’s only 2 feet away. If I re-pair it using the app it’s usually OK after a couple of attempts. No idea what it is and Googling hasn’t helped much. It is indeed a beautiful spot for a hike Mal. Cheers buddy
Hiya Karl. I'm returning to Thailand soon and wondered if you knew of any easy peasy hikes? I'm recovering from an accident where I nearly lost my foot and really want to get back to walking and exercise but it's still painful and I need a rest for five mins every 30 mins or so. Do you know of any easy walks or should I stick to boring ugly city walks or park walks? Thanks👍
There are plenty of easy hikes. Many of the National Parks have what they call ‘Nature Trails’ that are aimed at the general public and usually not difficult. Try the nature trail at Khao Yai NP. The trail has a concrete surface and starts and ends at the Visitor Centre. Hope you recover fast. Also places like Hup Pha Suwan (Listed as ‘Heaven Valley’ on Google Maps) are steep but apart from that not too difficult and you could take it at your own pace. Here’s a link to a video I made there ua-cam.com/video/gOnxHzcrjRg/v-deo.htmlsi=add3AtzRiHtnq1vJ
watch out for weird tan lines with that hat. a pro golfer spends days and long hours in the hot sun, when he they remove the hats, their forehead is as white as a baby's behind.
Lol. I tell you what Donald, I’ll take those lines anytime over a flaking head. That was almost providence finding that hat. Hopefully it saved the day for another hiker afterwards. Cheers
Another great video.Stunning views Thanks Karl
Glad you enjoyed it. My pleasure, cheers
That ladder brought back memories Karl haha... "Never trust a handrail in Thailand" is valuable advice!
Indeed Jimmy, they’re just for show. Cheers
dark spots at the foot of that rickety ladder make me wonder about caves underneath those ledges.
Fantastic views. I never venture out on a hike in Thailand without my hat, learnt that once and never again 😂
Cheers. I buy the lightweight hats…but I’m always losing them lol.
Nice adventure Karl. Beautiful views from the top.
Yes it was! Thanks again EC
Another fantastic hike Karl! And what a view!!❤
Thanks very much
So beautiful place and amazing view 😮🤗😊👍🎉🎊
Thanks so much. It’s a stunning place to visit

Sounds like you get as much pleasure out of Thailand as I do. Thanks so much for your response to my video
Absolutely an inspiration Karl. I need to get of my arse and do some walks next time in Thailand.
Thanks. It’s a steep hike but it’s not too long. I think you’d enjoy it.
18:00 wow, wat a beautiful drone flight !!! Thanks for coming back to do this. Hut suits you very well !!! It was waiting there for you
Thanks AB. Yes, I couldn’t resist going back to complete the job, glad you enjoyed the footage

Thanks so much. That’s my home turf, I’m from Northwood. Cheers
Smashing content as ever Karl , thanks .
Thanks so much Paul
You asked Karl, and the gods provided. Well done.
I nearly fell out of my chair when you approached the cliff edge..
I never really thought of it like that Brock, definitely convenient though. I got a shock on that rock when I tried to raise my head and hit a tree branch! A bit precarious. Cheers
Another great video
Thank 😊
My pleasure Mark. Cheers
Another splendid video. Wish I could be there Karl! Cheers.
My pleasure Marc. Cheers
What a great place to take it all in!
It’s a cool spot Chris. Cheers
Thanks for dropping my hat back Karl. I was wondering who took it. Cheers Mate
My pleasure. Sorry I never cleaned it first…I was in such a rush that week. Cheers
Nice video Karl. I'll be back soon (I hope!)
Thanks Tony
The drone shot looks amazing Karl! I think you should have kept the hat 😂 You found it…so, finder’s keeper😂 Thanks for posting this video 😊
Thanks Marietta. Maybe I should have kept it. It was pretty high quality if a bit heavy, it certainly did the job of keeping the sun off

It’s a cool spot Mark. Yes, that hat saw some mileage in the 5 or 6 days I had it as you’ll see in future videos. Cheers
Another great video Karl, see you in April mate
Cheers Chris. Hope all is well.
@@karlsthailand I’m good thanks mate. Will be good to have a few beers and a catch up
An enjoyable video.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks very much
Awesome trail & views. I imagine carrying a camera/phone has got to add to the difficulty of a hike. Thanks for sharing !
Thanks. Yes there are times when I feel it’s a real handicap. One handed mountain climbing lol. My pleasure. Cheers
Wow! A brilliant spot way up there for sure and would be amazing to camp there but wouldn't want to get stuck up there during a bad storm 🤠
Yes, you’d be pretty exposed up there. I’ve only ever been there in good weather. Lovely spot though. Cheers
Karl we agree that's the proper thing to do with the hat. Great video!
Thanks for endorsing my decision and glad you enjoyed the video.
Excellent views. I think those stairs would have done for me though...
Plenty of rest places on the way up Andrew but yes, very steep in places. Cheers
ฟ้าสวยวิวสวย ตรงนี้ผมยังไม่เคยไปเลย ขนาดเป็นคนไทย 👍

I’m always losing hats Andrew. Want Nam Khiao has a great place to watch wild Gaur at the Eastern edge of Khao Yai NP. Cheers

Hats off to the Thais for building those staircases 😂. It looked really hot 🔥 during the hike up Karl.
Nice views too.
It wasn’t anywhere near as tough as the Dragon Crest trail Ant but beautiful all the same. Cheers buddy
I do enjoy The Real Thailand, gonna have to do some training or keep to lower view points these daze.
Sure, plenty to see that’s closer to the ground. Cheers
Good hat. Hope you kept it
I returned it to where I found it. Cheers
Nice.
Thank you Andrew! Cheers.
Dig that crazy hat suits u lol xxxx
Maybe I should have kept it lol. xxx

Yep made that climb a few times with the wife’s family who don’t live far from there! Amazing views! Worth the effort!
It really is! Yes, it’s the kind of place only locals know of. I presume you have been to the nearby beach by the reservoir too? Cheers
@@karlsthailand Yes we have! Also a beautiful drive along the lake there. Definitely a place for locals.
