    Hello,
    I'm Lakshmanan from chennai, Civil Contractor. I accept your view that AAC has higher strength than Bricks. But,
    Density of a brick is higher than AAC block so obviously it would break when we drop from that height... It's not a correct comparison...please clarify

    • @Hireandbuild
      @Hireandbuild  3 роки тому +6

      Agreed, but common people are measuring strength of the building by strength of bricks whereas the strength entirely depends on RCC framed structure. So we had to show this simple comparison which can be done in site by any layman, there are lots of videos showing compression test, water absorption test etc.

      Dead load has to be more in basement and wall thickness has to be more in basement since it's underground. Underground structures will also have more lateral pressure that's why bricks are used.

      Yes, it is possible to use blocks for constructing a G+1 floor on a half-column foundation. However, it is important to consult with a qualified structural engineer or an architect to assess the feasibility and safety of such construction. They can evaluate the existing foundation and provide guidance on the appropriate design and structural considerations for adding additional floors.

    Difference between ACC and solid blocks .Pls

    • @Hireandbuild
      @Hireandbuild  4 місяці тому

      Solid concrete blocks are heavier than AAC blocks. Concrete has a significant structural cost due to its substantial weight. Arrangements for concealed wiring, plumbing, and conduit are difficult to make. AAC Block has a higher per-unit production cost.

    Drop test is not the test that needs to be used to check the actual load conditions. The application of the brick causes compressive loads. So if you need to genuinely compare the products give the compressive load carrying strength of the aac and red brick.
