I feel like maybe another criteria should be "has more than 500 or 1000 votes". I say this because I love me some Luminous Night, but 6800 votes vs 160 is a pretty huge deal. :P
Great idea for a video! Newer fragrances (or lesser known ones) always have an advantage here (Blue Electrique, Reflection 45, Intense Cedrat Boisee etc), as the more votes a fragrance gets the more the ratings tend to settle down closer to 4. That’s what makes it so impressive when you have fragrances that are like 4.5 that have thousands of reviews.
I just recently bought a cologne that I've never even heard of. Its called Bon Vivant absolu pour homme. I haven't seen any videos of it and I have been thoroughly impressed by it. Definitely should check it out.
my guesses: 1. YSL - La Nuit de L'Homme Bleu Electrique 2. Dior Homme Parfum 3. Paco Rabanne - 1 Million lucky 4. Creed - Green Irish Tweed 5. Mont Blanc - Explorer 6. PDM - Layton 7. Prada - Amber pour Homme Intense 8. Azzaro - The Most Wanted Parfum 9. Amouage - *not a clue* 10. Versacce Pour Homme 11. Mancera - Intense Cedrat Boise 12. Montale - *not a clue* 13. D&G - The One EDP 14. Initio - *not a clue* 15. Armani Code Absolu you totally missed Chanel!
I love both Aventus and Royal Oud = but Royal Oud is in a league of its own imo. There's no soooo many people trying to copy the DNA and for me, it's a top dog in my fall and winter lineups PDM = I have Herod, Layton and Carlisle... and for me the best is between the last 2. I really fell in love with Carlisle this past winter. I've smelled fragrances similar to it before but not just not same feeling I get from the scent. It's my fav fancy dinner frag to wear in the cold weather.
I would love to see this with the affordable Middle Eastern Houses (e. g. Afnan, Al Haramain, Lattafa, Swiss Arabian, Ajmal, Aard Al Zafaran, Paris Corner, Rasasi, etc.) :-)
Here's what I would have guessed: YSL: Y EDP ❌️ Dior: Dior Homme Intense ✅️ Paco Rabonne: Invictus Victory ❌️ Creed: Green Irish Tweed ❌️ Prada: Luna Rosa Ocean (3.9 LOL) ❌️ Azarro: Wanted By Night ❌️ Amouge: Interlude 53 ❌️✅️ (4.53 but with 203 votes) Mancera: Intense Cedrat Boise ✅️ Montale: Intense Cafe? ❌️ Dolce & Gabbana: The One EDP ❌️ Initio: Oud For Greatness ❌️ Armani: Code Absolu ❌️ Had I not seen the title: Versace: Eros EDP ✅️ Parfums De Marley: Layton ❌️ Montblanc: Explorer ✅️
I got The One Luminous Night in today and I'm unsurprised it's the top rated. I now have all three of the Exclusive Editions and love them all, but Luminous Night is really a step up in quality. By far my favorite of the whole line.
Fun video, Ash. I knew how the YSL guess was gonna for you, as I did my own vote comparison list of my many YSL fragrances just this week! It would be an interesting video to rate the fragrances based on number of votes, as Ksawery has suggested. 6642 people voted for Prada L'Homme versus 1716 voting for Amber Intense. In my book that makes Prada L'Homme more popular - because more people have voted on it - but I know that Amber Intense is a more recent fragrance (so has had less time to garner votes). I'm sure there is an algorithm somewhere that would take all of these factors into account and give us different stats.
Then again, something like Beyonce is more popular than a real opera diva. Those are far, far better quality wise than any pop singer. This was about highest rated, not most popular. Two different things.
Why only using Fragrantica for this game? Why maybe not also Parfumo? Maybe with an average of their top scores for each fragrance, I mean Fragrantica's and Parfumo's, after normalizing their respective scales. Personally, my own taste seems to correlate a lot more with the scores I see generally in Parfumo than in Fragrantica, for example when comparing fragrances, and the sites disagree on which has the highest ranking. For Prada I'd have chosen L'Homme Intense (can still be found in stores here in Germany.) It does have a higher score than Amber Intense both on Fragrantica (4.45 vs. 4.40) and Parfumo (8.4 vs. 7.8, so quite a more significant difference there.)
great video bud ! i was allway's wondering which men's frangance would rate the highest, hope u do more videos like this one . it will help out with blind buys

Great video idea and entertaining! It would be cool to do this video but with the lowest rated men fragrances for each brand and also you having your guess.
Prada Intense is fookn awesome your bad Tom Ford Tobacco Oud Number#1 along with Gucci Alchimest Garden Horritas Sanitis but number -1# is Jean Paul Gutier LA Mal Le Parfum

Layton smells like cough syrup. Ive tried so hard to like it but I just can’t. I don’t understand why it’s liked so much. The only way I can wear Layton is layering it with OG La Nuit de L’homme or Bleu Electrique. Herod and Carlisle are 10x better
Blue electric is easily available in Saudi, Qatar and Bahrain. I've seen it in Airport duty frees. Siphora, Faces and many perfume stores. I got the chance to test it on my skin. I'm not buying it though.

Really like the game idea Ash. Cool vid. Love most of these
I really enjoyed that video you should do more videos like that Ash but with other websites like Macy's or maybe these other retailer websites
Herod is a masterpiece
Best fragrance mentioned in the video
Absolutely!
Carlisle >
I’m looking to get about 5 samples from PDM, of course Herod will be one out the five.
@@ResplendentRaider recommend oajan, Herod, Layton, Carlisle...never smelled Carlisle but I want to

Great video idea Ash, fun and competitive 👍
Great video! I can' t decide between 2 fragrances chanel allure homme sport eau extreme or bleu de chanel edp. So what do you mean?
What do you think about the latest batches of layton? Are they still worth buying? Ty! Love your videos!

Which is the best for 20 years old male azzaro amber fever or joop homme wild ? Note : The two fragrance have same price
Carlisle is much better than Herod tbh
so.... did you just forget Chanel or did I miss it?
Try layering Mancera Red Tobbaco with Volutes from Diptyque. It’s a bombshell combo I promise
Reflection 45 is amazing it’s just so expensive not many will pull the trigger
