@@SheaWhatNow about 2 months ago he put out Chapters they are mostly spoken word that outlines his history there are 7 or 8 of them. Well worth watching. Some have done reactions. But I think it is more for self understanding
The chapters were on his other channel (renmakesstuff?), so I think a lot of people didn't see them. It's 8 chapters and basically the extended version of the story in this song. ♥️
@@SheaWhatNow They are on his page @RenMakesStuff....They are just called "Chapters 1-8". They are very informative and horrifying. They are about his life from 17 yrs old till today.

Ren has said that he always had this feeling that he was meant to change the world for the better. So much that he defiantly yelled a challenge to evil into an empty room. And then he got sick…
Ren has now shared the full story of his health journey in 8 video chapters leading up to the release of this song and what a journey it has been. If anyone hasn’t already watched them, I highly recommend you do. With all the chapters he is showing immense strength in sharing his story that is so hard to tell, being vulnerable and telling it because he hopes it will help others and raise awareness. And here he is with another rendition of that story, now told through music with a fire beat and delivering a message of hope. The world needs Ren 🐰🕳️

I agree with you Rinong are always hopeful for me. Just like patience or ready for you. Ren has been through hell and back, and somehow he has kept a smile on his face and he didn’t let any of that horror touch his soul. I’m amazed by Ren

Have you watched the 8 separate chapters that he read a month or so ago? I know you follow Ren and his problems but I recommend you watch the 8 part series. It's Ren simply reading what he wrote about all of his troubles. Each episode runs about 20 minutes and there is a song at the end of each episode which is included in the 20 minute or so segment.
59 Summers young 58 of which were spent wondering why/ Why am I feeling manic one momment then psychotic the next. Mad as a box of frogs I would jokingly say, defflecting shame with dark humor. That is bi-polar for ya. Laughing on the outside while crying on the inside. Unlike Ren my auto-immune issues, were correctly diagnosed. Drained with pain but to tired to feel. I agree with Ren also on the realisation it can be a blessing if I want instead of curse. Two valid truths seperated by a line of symetry. wondering when I was gonna to say I have had enough time to step in and take control, conflicted and stubornly fighting the feeling I am about to die, two sides of a coin. I am trying different medication sapping from one prescription to another fighting to stay at least one step ahead of the growing tolerrance. I am older now to and have learnt to relax. Acceptance is a form of resignation buy discovering it provides relief and time to discover Spirituality. I can practice my faith , my way and it is a strange kind of relief, I am telling my truth because I am okay with it now, and it is true many more people suffer worse than I do.What a strange kind of solace. He references God and religion so often in his songs that I do think that's the first place he turned to when doctors made him worse. He tried everything. He tried other religious practices out of desperation. You really must watch his Chapters. He goes into it all in sad, painful detail.
One main point he tries so hard to make is that it wasn't mental illness after all, during all that time he was getting worse and on death's doorstep. It was a parasite that invaded his brain and nervous system, and destroyed his body unchecked for years and years. It takes away your ability to think, read, walk, go outside, eat, sleep, or feel normal in any way. You're dizzy all the time, you're nauseous and vomiting up what little you can eat. Weight falls off like melting ice. That's what happened to me.

@@SheaWhatNow I got a 10 day course of doxycycline (the go-to Lyme disease treatment), and I was super sick on it, vomiting, rash on my torso, arms, and legs. So amoxicillin was next. She dx'd me with lyme but says it very unlikely that it's lyme bc I didn't have a perfectly round bullseye on my ankle. In her notes, 'no further testing or treatment needed'. The worst of the light sensitivity is gone, the projectile vomiting is gone, but the rest stayed. They were already treating me for spinal, nerve, and muscular problems when I got bitten. The symptoms overlap, so I can't tell what's what. Now the doctor's worried I have cancer bc of the weight loss and night sweats (forgot to mention those!)
The only silver lining is that she also finally did a couple of simple neurological exams, which I immediately failed, so I FINALLY got a referral to a neurologist. It's been 6 mos, and I haven't even been scheduled yet, bc they're swamped. Still waiting. Still getting hope and at least acceptance from Ren. ❤
Tics can when they bite simultaneously infect with other parasitic infections but to the best of my knowledge Ren was infected by Lymes, which is not a parasite, it’s a bacterial infection that can infect the nervous system, the immune system and of course the brain. Whether he contracted other parasitic infections I don’t think he has said.

So I grew up an atheist most of my life but started reading the Good Book recently. I didnt know there were different versions tho and bought the KJV.
Should I get the bigger one that includes the Apocrypha stuff?
Still early on, starting Leviticus. Pretty wild stuff, i have a lot of thoughts on it.
I am the opposite I grew up in a very christian family the more I read the more I had issues with it.
KJV is the right version. Keep it going, don't give up. God is calling you to Him.

The missionaries enslaving the original habitants, the abuse of children, the monasteries and nuns where pregnant girls were obliged to go to and lose their baby. Yes, there were people who meant well but I think that religion wasn’t the main reason just their own morals. The wars started by (any) religion. The double tongue they use when explaining the book. “Oh, but you have to read between the lines” was an answer I got from a priest in a discussion about the contradictions and the illogical “fairytales”. Sorry, but between the lines is not the way I read a book.
Ren is agnostic. Here's my take on it.
In the song he credits his recovery to the stem cell doctor.
"Then man, lo and behold, I heard an Angel beckon on this treacherous road - It was a Stem Cell doctor with a generous glow - And a stem cell transplant brought me out of the cold"
The end lyrics aren't praising God, if anything they're laying blame.
"Lord I forgive you x 3
"Make me whole"
(He didn't say "You made me whole" - Ren is still searching for where his beliefs lie in an attempt to feel whole.
"This music I give you,
Pain that I live through,
Everything I've been through is YOURS to hold".
Here he's saying, If you're real and you did all of this to me, I forgive you, but know that I don't feel whole and everything I've been through is on your conscience.

I tend to agree with you, Ren has on a number of occasions said he's not religious but he likes the stories that are told (I'm paraphrasing, can't remember the exact quote)
Being troubled by a similar depression experience as Carlie I can understand her reaching for and hanging onto a belief system.
I'm a little bit envious that she has found something to anchor her and give hope. Maybe that is religion's purpose.

Nor do I. I think that Ren's relationship with that great mystery some like to call God is very complex. He loves religious themes but I don't see him as a theist.

For a self professed atheist, he has a more personal, intertwined and complicated relationship with God than anyone I know.
Ren describes himself as 'An Athiest, who believes' While he has explored relgions looking for answers I think that he uses 'God' as a shorthand for how he interacts with the universe, whether you call it fate, karma or a divine plan.

He is not an Atheist..... He believes there is divine beings in our world, he believes in Angels and Demons. He just doesn't know how to put into words "what" is in charge. He isn't positive what is in charge. He knows there is something but what. He wants proof to be sure, but he will not say "nothing divine exists". either.
No desrespect Shea, how confident can viewers believe that you are watching an artist for the very first time? I watch reactors specifally to see if they are honest or, playing the prettendy game they have never watched the source material. You can always tell quite easilly by the timing of the surprise reaction, and non reaction that should be compelling of the Artists intent ... 99.9% of all sucsessfull content creators need to do this to be great Actors THAT THEY ARE. Always coming from the bedroom/living room enviroment norm. It is a business, as my mate says; The best sales are the sales of lies.
I have never watched the videos I react to. And my reactions are all me as I do them live on my live streams. I’ve seen ren before many times but not his new song troubles until this reaction.
There are lots of fakes out there and if they’re okay with faking it and their viewers don’t care then good for them but I can’t fake things
He's far from preaching with god. He's forgiving him for putting him through something terrible.
Ren stated in a Hi Ren live stream that he is not religious in the way of any specific religion. That don't sound like he don't belive in a god.
Im not sure if I understand. He may not be but I feel like he knows God is calling Him. I hope he runs to him.
