@ For this product, you COULD make the pedalboard out of legos with slots for the pedal. Using the name LEGO Pedals could get you a cease and decist letter from their lawyer. But showing them next to a LEGO block would be a good move to depict size & say they’re the size of a LEGO or two or whatever.
This is super cool! As a bass player who uses an always-on compressor, I would absolutely love to see a compressor in this form factor that I could tuck away under my board and not have it take up valuable real estate - it would be especially great if you could give it at least 3 or 4 knobs and/or internal mini-pots for finer-tuned control. Subscribed and can't wait to hear more!
Internal mini-pots might be difficult when the pots they use on-top already are mini/micro-pots 😄 @olinthus I'm guessing they are RV09 or RK09 snap-in mini pots?
Love the idea of a tiny always on compressor. would defo recommend a usbc rechargeable power supply in the pedal board concept. What’s the point in tiny and portable if you’re still tethered to a wall wart. Would love something like this for teaching in schools/college
This was my first thought as well! Every time I see a pedal or read/watch something about pedals I think of Josh. The JHS UA-cam channel has programmed my brain to always associate anything pedal-related to Josh.
I’m a big fan of the Hotone Skyline series of pedals as well as the Joyo series in the same form factor. And yet, I’ve always said to myself “that needs to be smaller actually.” Congratulations on making the pedal world so much bigger by making the pedals so much smaller.
How about... make a strap holder with a 9v or rechargeable 9v built in? Perfect for acoustic-electirc players to have a second preamp/overdrive right on the guitar. When the others and pedalboard come out there will be marketing opportunities to pair with some vendor with tiny amps (yamaha THR20 type) for a "Real" office or dormroom rig. Simply brilliant design. Great job!
Very cool pedal and tiny design. I watched the video early today, I don’t recall off the top of my head but if this is all analog, it would be super interesting to see a small form factor multi-effect pedalboard with all analog pedals.
Are you going to make more effects pedals this size? I think it is a revolutionary design where space is limited! I'd mount them directly to my guitar. Great product! Hope you have great success and make a whole micro pedal arrangement in the future.
I'd like to see a tiny wah or synth or bitcrusher pedal which accepts a 3.5mm TRS input for a very tiny expression pedal, or even better yet, a Gonkulator (ring modulation).
I think the various keychain fuzz pedals are slightly smaller but this is probably the smallest with any kind of controls and the ability to turn it off which makes it much more usable. I'm not sure if it was intentional but you also managed to solve the problem other tiny pedals have of being so light that the patch cables keep it suspended in the air. I can't wait for a tiny fuzz with controls. Any chance you guys are also working on a tiny phaser?
1. This is beautifully absurd. I love it. 2. Legitimate question: obviously if the open sides were an issue, you wouldn’t have designed them that way. But how does one keep dust and debris out from the circuit?
Thank you! Dust and small debris won't pose any problems for the electrical circuit. If you like to keep your pedalboard clean, a quick spray of canned air will do the trick. :)
cool!! love the packaging and sustainability focus too - one suggestion on that front would be to move away from using AI generated images on your website, that tech is contributing to a lot of pollution and carbon emissions so hiring some artists to draw some art for you to replace those files + use for future products/pages would help you do even more for sustainability and also support artists :)
Hi there! Thanks! Yes we have a couple old pages that still have some AI art up there, have been meaning to swap it out with some real art. Thanks for the feedback!! :)
Interesting concept, for sure... but WHY in god's name another Tube Screamer?! Why not a simple little two-transistor fuzz or anything that sounds even somewhat interesting? Screamers sound atrocious, no offense.
The idea of a small pedal is pretty weird, so we wanted to start with a circuit that isn't weird. Something that everyone knows and many people appreciate. That said, we are hard at work on a fuzz and other adventurous sounding pedals :)
@@olinthus Okay, cool! I could get behind a fuzz of this size, for sure! Same layout (maybe even just two knobs), but a classic fuzz circuit with some nice cleanup would be my jam.
If something they make calls for one, you can just mount it onto the expression pedal. I call for an optical vibe that you can see the LEDs from the sides.
@@DeAthWaGer Even better, a simplified version of the Source Audio Hot Hand which had a 3-axis accelerometer wireless expression ring. Put the accelerometer _in_ the pedal and wear it _as_ a ring.
"They've already done it, they just put them in guitars" Now if they were battery powered then they might have something. Definitely not for a gigging musician, living room player , yah sure.. Get their mini floor board or one small multi pedal with everything. My Korg Pandora has 99 presets, amps, etc. and is Battery Driven (if you want) No Pedal Board at all, and built like a tank for Under $125, . . . 5 pedals and the mini pedal board from those guys, (first pedal out is $99 ) at least $550. Gimmick, not enough substance for the $$$.
You could literally tape a 9v to it. Yes Korgs and Pods and whatever are fun, but so is analogue. I have over half a dozen digital multi-effect pedals, but even the decent presets and emulators don't sound always sound like the real thing or perform as well. Stacking pedals on my Boss or Zoom unit does not give me the flexibility and range of the real pedal circuits. Fine for practice, fun for jamming, but lousy for recording or performance.
This tiny pedal idea is Huge. Please, don`t stop!
Love it ! I live in Australia & can't wait for it to hit our shore. Also a tiny pedal board for plane travel would be fabulous.
Stepping on that thing has to be akin to stepping on a Lego.
Thanks for giving us an idea: LEGO pedals

Wanna see a noisegate in this kind of form
Brilliant!
Most interesting design of 2024.
Thank you!! :) :) :)
I’m ordering one when I get paid on Friday with earring adapters. I also love the sustainable packaging. Excited to see what else y’all create!!
Literally first thing I did this morning. So excited for it to show up!

Compressor pedal is coming. Our tiny pedalboard will likely have a battery option. We'll have more info in the coming months. Thx!
One of the coolest things I've seen lately! Awesome!
Thank you for the kind words!! 😀😀😀
Someone tell Josh from JHS… he’ll need to have one!

I hope you're making a daisy chain for connecting multiple pedals together?!?!??!? That would be amazeballs!
We're working on a tiny pedalboard and will provide a simple way to connect multiple Olinthus pedals together! :)
Just purchased. Cant wait to play with it on stage. Im sure itll be a blast.
Thanks for the support!! :)
Thats really cool.

Ok, I want to demo this pedal so darn bad lol Really neat idea. a series of these types of pedals on a board would take no space at all.
This is superb! Any chance you guys are also making a worlds smallest Fuzz pedal?
FUZZMASTER!
They said so at the end basically
Yes, a fuzz is coming sooooooon!! :)
@@olinthus fantastic news!
Amazing! Absolutely love that your packaging is environmentally conscious too. Save some good ideas for the rest of us, won't ya?! ;)
i can't wait to get the reverb!!!
It’s brilliant, it’s beautiful, sounds good. Please distribute in Europe, please!

sounds pretty nice
we want more!

I have my doubt that this thing will take off!!
I love this
do a bucket brigade delay next!
But are the in an out cables shielded?
Yes they are shielded :)
That is rad!
Thanks so much!!! :) :) :)
Is it smaller than the tube screamer shown by pedal pawn?
fuzz face, wah and octavia next!
Fun!
please put a blend knob on the comp ; a mini parallel compressor pedal would be amazing
That damned Microcosm! It haunts me and probably because I feel like I’ll never be able to afford it…
Cool tiny pedal, by the way!
Did I need one? No. did I just order one anyway? Absolutely 😂
Thanks so much for your order!! :) :) :)
Interesting… I would to help demonstrate them at live gigs
Love this. Order 749.
Thanks so much, we appreciate it!! :) :) :)
Will these tiny pedals work with eurorack synth?
Nevermind.your video just answered my question.awesome product guys.
*Pedaltrain just announced the all new PEDALTRAIN PICO!
😉
hahahaha yessss
I will buy everything you will distribute in Europe !
Is that a Commodore VIC20 on the table behind you guys?
There is a Commodore 64 in the center, and an Apple IIc on the right. We actually used the Apple IIc for the title screens in the Cicada videos! :)
Is bass too much for this thing? I would love to put it on my board!
Works great with bass!!!
Desse tamanho pode colocar dentro de uma guitarra e fazer um OverdriveCaster ou CicadaCaster
Fuzz, immediately at once!
Sooooooon!!!!
Can you make a BOSS TR2?
We are working on other designs! A tremolo is something we want to do, but don't have a timeframe for that yet! :)
Mini wah pedal would be hilarious
Please make an hm-2……please

PEDALBOARD PLZ!!!!!
Working on it!! :) :) :)
The question now: Will it bass?
We've used it with bass!!
Why don't ALL pedals use TRRS?!? You'd only need one cable coming out and you could stuff all the excess under the board like you do here.
This really is very small
Why are they not always talking to the camera ? ?
Because we're not professionals
