    ABOUT DANNY
    -----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On UA-cam and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

I think Peter Cowen has always been right on point for developing a great golf swing, but it wasn’t until your series, both before with him and afterwards on your own that what he was trying to convey precisely finally hit home. These three or four videos from chipping to the full swing are priceless! Peter also has some great sand and other chipping videos that are free for anyone who wants more short game insight from one of the very best. Cheers!

Thanks for this lesson Danny. I discovered this with some of the other videos you recently posted. To get this pressure before I swing, I’ve developed a routine where I turn my trail arm completely around, then grip the club to make sure the elbow is pointed inward. It helps maintain that pressure. I played last weekend and didn’t miss a fairway with the driver. Still working on more consistency with my irons maintaining that pressure, but it’s getting there. Thank you for all you do! You’ve really helped me change my golf game this summer. Sincerely, Jaret.

Thank you Danny. Absolutely great lesson! I've been shanking with irons occasionally. When I start to shank I usually "fix" it and start flipping which causes the distances to drop. I realised this must be the cause. Now my consistency with irons seems to be good with your tips but I still find driving difficult. Earlier I used to swing up to 6 degrees in-to-out, which I've spent some time to change to slight out-to-in which I prefer. Now I seem to pull hook with driver more often. Have to spent some time on range with camera/trackman.

Been a very good series for me, as one of your youtube "students" I feel like I've been taken along this journey that deepens my understanding of the golf swing and tie it all back with, and enhances, the previous lessons. It's worked a treat.
One extra tip to share, Bryson DeChambeau mentions in one of his videos (I was curious!) that he wants to feel like his trail wrist is behind his trail elbow during contact for a solid drive - I think it's the same concept with what we're trying to achieve here

Hi, another fantastic video. I am just back from the range where I tried that drill. The dragging/pressing/ arc along the ground is a completely different feeling for me. So far it makes the golf swing much easier , especially to square the face. The club feels much more is front of my body at impact and is helping me to naturally shift to get that feeling. I have worked as a ski pro and I always have a good feel for what and where my body is while Skiing This is not the case with Golf and i think many poor golfers like myself don't unfortunately know where they are during a 2 second swing.I am not sure if you don't have this feeling whether you ever learn it . And there it is. I have been struggling with an open face for the 6 months, no matter what I did it reared its head on every single shot I took with irons or woods. I've watched countless videos, read countless webpages, and all I got was a swing so broken that I now hit the mat 6 inches behind the ball, top the ball, or slice even worse. My hands are so sore from mishits I walked away my clubs for 3 weeks. Saw your name come up many times in Golf Reddit as a great source of knowledge, and sure enough this video is first recommended to me. I watched and took the drills outside immediately with my 7 iron, 30 hits later not a single slice, even at regular swing speed. Thank you so very much for this, you've got a subscriber for sure.

Thanks Danny - really lucid and accessible explanation. The biggest challenge I find in trying to implement these tips is maintaining the loose and relaxed feel of swinging the club head. Tension creeps in. But I guess it needs work to embed the correct movements in muscle memory so they can be combined with a free flowing swing. Thanks again.

There's a lot great golf instruction on youtube, and I've seen and studied them all but you have elevated a long standing technique/perspective that's been around forever but for some reason it's not shown enough and in real-time sl-mo (I call it), and that is UNDERSTANDING the importance of compressing the golf ball. I saw the Pete Cowen video as well as your videos expanding on what he showed you and I was wondering if you were going o make video that captures the risk angle technique with all the clubs and you did. No practice range on my course so I tried the “dragging” drill on each shot during my round yesterday. My swing immediately felt better and ball striking was superb. If I succeed following these explanations, it will the second major improvement you add to my swing. First was your explanation of fade and draw. Thank you Danny

Great video Danny!!! I really like the images and feels you describe. I saw another instructor give an image for irons of squeezing the golf ball under a door. Another image I recall is skipping a stone on the water with the back hand.

Good followup to your Pete Cowen series. Played yesterday and found that when I remembered to bring the hands close to the body and around instead of out at the target, I hit my best shots.

Peter Cowen pressure! Love it. Speed also comes from releasing/straighten you right arm (not hands) as fast as possible. Right arm should be extended out as far as possible early as you rotate. This is good stuff.

This seems to be exactly what I need. I am scoring 'OK' most days but really struggle with consistent ball striking, especially with my irons. Looking forward to working on this.

This is good follow up on the Pete Cowen lesson. Moving the hands in an arch in front of the hips stops the block I have been fighting for years. Danny's subscribers would still bennifit from the one angle that no instruction ever shows: camera view back from the target towards the front side of the golfer. This would allow us to see the correct arch of the hands and catapult follow through.

I've had to close my left foot to a straight position to get that wrist to come through better. Found i was opening up on the turn to much with my foot cocked out (about 10 degrees). Going pretty straight now or with a slight fade. You make it look so easy! lol
