After going through the comments, I have a few things to say to save everyone's time! 1. I use the term "Anti-Invader" instead of "Sentry" because the "Sentry" role in prime was also pretty heavily dedicated to blockers and primeval phase. "Anti-Invader" is more accurate to the modern version of this role. 2. Gambit is more competitive than pvp. This is coming from someone with nearly 1000 flawlesses in d2, vast pvp tourney experience, and lots of fps experience in games such as valorant and overwatch. Gambit is an objective based pvp mode where the team that plays better wins the match, pvp is not that. 3. All spawnkills in this video are avoidable.
Great way to put all of that. I would like to see more on Anti-Invading. As someone who has played D2 since day one, I never really wanted to get into Gambit until I saw your video. I appreciate what you had to say so far and look forward to more. Thanks again for taking the time to show us this.
a series i never thought i’d see, but still very interesting. i’m actually casually playing gambit these days with the new scout as a reward and the devastator hammer buff with 1-2 punch
So awesome to see guide videos being made about Gambit. People like you help to make Gambit a more engaging and more understood mode. Love the content and keep up the amazing work man!
I really miss the Gambit Prime armor is was a cool way for our team and others to focus a role and had some good benefits (they also looked cool asf) also miss dunking 20 motes for the Beeg Boi Ogre
Well maybe you're gonna be glad to hear that this season is back I haven't heard from anyone to get it yet but it is on the database, hope perks and rolls get back too
Excited to see what you do for invading. I used to play Gambit quite a lot and a good invasion is definitely satisfying and what typically would be the only thing that makes the game mode fun for me
it makes me hella happy to see someone making a modern guide to gambit because i've been playing it for 1000 hours without a teacher and while i know plenty about it i can always learn more! plus anyone who wants to play gambit but doesn't know how can just watch these videos to learn :D
unrelated but if you turn on auto generated captions, the intro says "hey guys, coochies here-" and that made laugh out loud in the middle of the night
Still going to argue that thundercrash and dunemarchers / cuirass is better for clearing waves and boss dps, especially with null composure, sleeper, and particle deconstruction mod. Bubble/swords doesn't help at all in the case of the meatball being the primevil. And that thing spawns way too often.
If you have crown splitter it hits the meatball if you stand under it look up and heavy attack. For meatball last season on other classes the play was to hit swap on anarchy and then hide in the bubble but this season you can hit swap on something like 1k voices thundercrash might be better at an instant boss melt but that doesn’t matter at all when you don’t get the boss.
Been doing bottom arc on Titan this whole time for the melee damage/health regen and add clear super, but looks like bubble can function the same and is the safer version of this, so thanks for the heads up.
Bro I used an enhanced hands on Skullfort+Thundercrash back in Forsaken and part of Shadowkeep, until I felt the need to be a Bubble main again... Syntho allows you to one hit almost everything man lmao Yellow bars go down with 3 hits, and I'm not using a One-two punch shotty yet so I assume it would be even less... On top of that, every melee kill, you get health regen, I mean it's perfect. Sorry if the dude said it already but I need to reiterate lmao running Radiant Light allows you to pop over shields more often too
@@Donts_blackwell Yeah pretty much same game plan I had on bottom tree striker for the health regen +synthos, so am excited to try with ward of dawn haha. You get an insane amount of motes fast, and really helps free up a body so they can focus more on clearing the bank/invading
Dude I love gambit. Looking forward to the series. Also C2 what do you think about top tree sentinel titan dropping a bubble on the primeval when the primeval type allows it?
So i was doing this job for over 3 months now and now i learn it has an official name? Nice! Also, i am f2p hunter main so my option are limited to basicaly arbalest and either a shotgun or a fusion and it straight up works
Good ol Sentry. Izanagi has been an open secret though, but many rather use easier ways like Truth or Xeno to handle the invader. Also good anti-invader weapons are really good invader weapons too.
I don't like that Bungie removed Gambit Prime armours. The specialized armours provide specialization of roles to the players. There's already nothing much to do in Gambit, they shouldn't have removed it.
WOW... Its almost like gambit had ARMOR SETS that did that at one point!?!? But you know, Community says gambit is trash and gets the stuff deleted from the game, even though it helped people know what their role was.. not everyone just complains that gambit is a mess and nobody knows what to do... I WONDER WHY.
I was skeptical going into this video, not sure how serious I was gonna take it... But you know what, this is pretty helpful. I know I'll never love gambit, but maybe applying some of these tactics will make it more tolerable.
Man I'm super happy to see more people hitting up gambit- I've always loved it but have a tough time convincing clan mates to come join in. Hopefully I can use this vid series to aid in my efforts ^_^
I think Gambit is the best playlist hands down. Problem is, people like going into it without a plan and then complain the mode sucks. No, people without a plan suck at the mode, not the other way around.
There just needs to be a solo playlist. You can't have a team plan when you go in solo queue and match up against a full team who immediately drop 2 large blockers and an invade.
this is a double edged blade, yes it does help a crap ton given the skill- but theres also a chance that the enemy team could be knowledgable of this video and its information as well
nice bro. you may not realize but you have power here as a content creator to make gambit more of an established, community respected mode. keep making videos covering different aspects, im sure you will start a trend. maybe upload scrims and gambit events too? anyways cool vid
It’s great your showing us this but literally 90%of the player base won’t play it right even after giving them proper instruction on how to play right lmao same thing as control and iron banner
I truly honestly thought I was the only person in existence that knew about this. Whenever me and my clan would play Gambit once a month I would always know exactly where an invader would spawn and I couldn't explain why. I'm sure I've been reported for hacking a few times
I personally like to run leviathans breath to anti invader on the rare occasion I play gambit like once a year Let's me use my good legendary secondaries and also is less difficult to aim than a sniper
Totally agree with izi best weapon for invaders. Not disliking this. Any tips are great. But would recommend to run what ever you want. Running the same stuff over an over is boring in my view.

I loved beign sentry but it was thankless job and not really thought trough. If they decided to bring back Gambit prime they should give Sentries ability to generate ammo for themselves.
Gambit has always been fun. Ppl just don't know how to play it properly. For example, that 1 dumbass on ur team that should have just deposited his 12motes before the enemies invade portal becomes available, but he decided to go for 15. And just as he gets his 15, the blockers are out and the invader is as well. That invader just so happens to kill the idiot with 15motes that wouldn't bank them. gambit feels more competitive because it has more strategy and roles to it instead of classic run and gun

You can hit meatball with crownspliiter if you stand under him and look up when you heavy attack
I’m curious how any of the weapons/Loadouts/Subclasses may have changed with Arc 3.0
Question, what about fallen sunstar or geomag stabilizers as opposed to crown of tempests?
This sounds like the sentry role that bungie had in mind for gambit prime. Surprised to see its an important role for pro gambit lol.
All the roles were actually important to gambit, but no one really cared enough to play it.
