Hi there, Dan. I am a new subscriber. In May of 2020, I left Minnesota to come back to Ohio. My driver was planning to take us up through Duluth Minnesota and across Michigan so that we could stop at Lake Superior. He ended up switching his plans and I really wish he hadn’t done that. I am actually light perception blind, Dan, which means that all I see is if somebody would flip on a light switch in a room. I can’t actually see videos but I sure love to hear the sounds of Lake superior. Thanks for uploading these videos of her, Dan. I really enjoy them even though I can’t see the film work but getting to hear Lake Superior is amazing in itself. She’s definitely crazy at times but she’s very relaxing to listen to.
The sound is my favourite part. I sit on the beach and wait to hear that thunder of the waves crashing. Its a big part of why it's better to be there. The video doesn't capture that. Or the feel of the ground shaking. I could close my eyes and sit there and have the best time
@@Lakesuperior2022 that’s exactly what I thought. A lot of sighted people tell me that videos don’t do it justice. You have to be there and experience it for yourself. Lake superior is definitely tops on my bucket list.
Thanks for the share Dan! You shot some nice footage. I was just editing some of our footage from the Devil’s Washtub on the North shore in the Keweenaw. Those waves the other day were epic. Keep warm and stay dry. ❄️💙☕️🕯
Almost looks unreal, like CG effects from a movie! To paraphrase the words of George Costanza: " The Lake was angry that day, my friend."
This isn't even the craziest we've seen it. Unfortunately we didn't do any videos in the beginning. Photos just don't do these storms justice
