Hard to tell how big those waves are on a video went to Hawaii in the winter when the waves are big truly amazing to see 25-30 feet high waves in person watching a video is not the same IMO. I grew up living 7 miles from the beach in Southern California sometimes we get 10 foot waves they were powerful enough I was not a surfer but did lot of body boarding, and body surfing.

You have to respect that and all bodies of water because mother nature can have her way with you anytime she wants. Swimming, Boating, surfing, it doesn't matter.

I was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Grew up in the east end of the city not far from the Superior shoreline. A truly amazing body of water. Beautiful summer weather. Real winter conditions, snow banks 6-8 feet high. Water that's always cold ( even in the shallow water areas) Spent many hours just looking out into the water... mesmerizing

Next time, zoom out occasionally so we can see the scale of what we are looking at.
