They could have added a much better glimpse into Joel's universe with a brief multiverse sight of Clooney's Batman and maybe O'Donnell's Nightwing in a pretty cool battle together. Joel had some ambitious ideas for a third movie and wanted to make up for Batman and Robin. Could have been fun. Also, Keaton showing up at the end would have been much better. Not only much more satisfying than a last minute gag but he was the best thing about Flash. Even though the long term plans for his return got lost, him being alive at the end would have left a lot of potential for more stuff that could be done in Earth 89. Batgirl was cancelled but there would still be no better Batman to help support future Bat Family projects. I'd very much like to see his Nightwing, his Red Hood and another attempt at his Batgirl etc Burton's movies are the most Connected to TAS so why not explore an expanded Batverse that could also see Michael's Bruce becoming a mentor in a live action Batman Beyond project. They also shot a deleted scene where affleck’s batman sends a distress message from their timeline urging Barry to return. @@IsaiahRidleyIzzyCinemaAbsolutely. The original plan for justice league 2 & 3 was to have darksied invade earth and take over, Lois lane dies, superman turns evil forcing the rest of the league to go into hiding. Eventually flash runs back through time to warn Bruce of the future which is what we see take place in that scene from dawn of justice. When you consider this deleted scene that takes place after the flash it becomes a closed loop.
George Clooney: "Sure, I'll do the self-effacing cameo as Bruce Wayne in the Flash movie, but I'm not going to shave my beard." Warner Bros.: "...Okay, fine."
The original ending of the flash was supposed to have michael keaton's batman and supergirl. And it was supposed to setting up the batgirl movie and it was cut.
If I understand correctly, they shot this scene originally with Keaton being the one to show up, with Barry being happy to see him alive, yet confused that the timeline is still screwed up. It'd also be revealed that Kara Zor-El (Supergirl) was alive too.
I love the George Clooney cameo. I know it was done for a joke. But I genuinely believe that if they wrote a decent script and let George have another shot at Batman, he would be incredible. A lot of people blame George Clooney for the Batman and Robin movie, but it's not his fault. He just had poor written material.
I'm one of the few people in the world who actually enjoyed "Batman & Robin". It was somewhat campy and silly, but so was the Adam West/Burt Ward TV series, and also like that show, it was still fun. And it had a great musical score, and you HAD to 💘 Uma Thurman's Poison Ivy!
Yeah people always blame actors for films failing when the bad decisions are being made by the suits, writers and directors. Being an actor is such an unfair job. You have all this pressure on your shoulders and get blamed for other people's mistakes. And the suits can then shake their hands and say: "See? I knew he/she would suck". The material was bad.
the movie looks like shit in every respect. the green screen, the nonsensical dialogue, the schizophrenic protagonist… this is the death knell of mass cinema
That's because it was a reshoot, proving that the Clooney ending isn't real. The REAL ending, shot on location is supposed to be Supergirl and BatKeaton returning to meet Barry at the courthouse. You can see some of the real ending in the trailer with Supergirl saying "Are you ready?" where she is clearly at the courthouse. Gunn and Safran are total MORONS.
Before the DCU reboot was announced, the original plan was it was going to be Keaton and he'd make more DCEU appearances. The need to keep the concept with Clooney as a joke hurt the film imo, especially with the hype that it would lead into the DCU.
In og ending the Bruce who is not George Clooney is Offscreen stepping out of car and after Barry asks "who the **** is that ? ". The screen turns to black and also Supergirl and Keaton Batman are alive in the end, there were scenes with superman foreshadowing Man of Steel 2 and incredibly the stupid should-have been-deleted baby scene was supposed to be a Volcano eruption
I would have preferred this scene to be BatAffleck (even though the SnyderVerse is over) but to have Barry return to his timeline and learn the lesson that he can't change the past but that he has his family (Justice League and his father) and it seems that your lesson was to stay in the SchumacherVerse (if this really isn't your original timeline) lol
I know I’m overthinking a simple throwback cameo, but aren’t Keaton and Clooney the same Bruce Wayne since Batman & Robin is part of the Burton Batman universe? This cameo shouldn’t exist, haha.
The 'who the fuck is this' expression is so natural and can't believe I also said the same line on cinema before I recognize that he was George Clooney😅😅😅😅

I haven’t watched the movie and this guy managed to piss me off with his ‘quirkiness’ in just the first minute. Can’t even imagine sitting through 2 hours of that. Clooney looks badass though, should use this look.
They built it up as the end of the DCEU and that it would lead into the DCU, but it ended on a joke and the new canon really isn't starting until Superman.
It was originally set to reboot the DCEU, installing Michael Keaton and Sasha Calle into the DCEU. But after Gunn and Safran took over DC, they decided to end the DCEU, hence this scene

Bad year indeed GOTG3 & ATSV we’re the only standouts. I can’t get into blue bettle or the marvels nor aquaman 2. 2023 was all about loki for me. Season 2 was awesome and epic.
I love GOTG
The movie is great.
Make me smile when George Clooney appears 😁👏
This movie was very enjoyable. The ending of this scene had me laughing so hard

I was laughing for the wrong reasons at the end 😂😂 holy fuckk

I think this movie still manages to be fun in some areas. Considering most movies with such delays and production hell often leads to the studio cutting their losses. I don't like this usage of him. Really hope this wasn't the last of Keaton's Dark Knight.
Why do all the backgrounds look so fake? Was this entire movie shot in front of a green screen? It looks so cheap
I don't know where you been dude, but movies these days use too much green screen or those huge tv like backdrops.
Clooney: I did the worst superhero movie. Twice
Ryan Reynolds: Hold my Green Lantern
Ben Affleck: Daredevil was so bad, the audience wished they were blind
Sylvester Stallone: Well it ain't called 'Judge I'm Grateful I Did That'
Halle Barry: Meow?

This final scene makes sense within the context of time travel. Barry went back in time to clear his fathers name by replacing the tomato can thus changing the course of events.
When Barry returned to the present he discovers a different Bruce Wayne which in this case is Clooney. This is because he is now living in a parallel universe where his father was acquitted of the murder charges. Barry is unaware that his changes brought him to a parallel universe where his father is free and Bruce Wayne/batman wasn’t Ben Affleck or Michael Keaton but isn’t it’s George C.
There’s also a deleted end credit scene that confirms this logic where Ben Affleck’s batman sends a message from his timeline urging Barry to return to his/their original universe.
Affleck shot this scene but it was not included in the final cut.
How does that explain the end credit scene with Aquaman though?
The original end credit scene was supposed to be Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne greeting Barry in the present.
They also shot a deleted scene where affleck’s batman sends a distress message from their timeline urging Barry to return. I’m guessing if they kept the original ending then the aqua-man cameo makes sense. However this movie’s storyline is heavily convoluted. The producers had the director cut many scenes and shoot new ones including this without continuity or cohesion. It’s all a mess. Also end credit scenes are sometimes non-canon which is why they take place directly after the events of the story.
If you think in this context it might make more sense. The real reason was to sell aquaman 2 to the audience as the next DC feature.

@@master-of-mind5881 Oh okay. Your explanation makes a lot of sense. I am assuming the distress signal is a tie-in to Batman vs. Superman too?
@@IsaiahRidleyIzzyCinemaAbsolutely.
The original plan for justice league 2 & 3 was to have darksied invade earth and take over, Lois lane dies, superman turns evil forcing the rest of the league to go into hiding. Eventually flash runs back through time to warn Bruce of the future which is what we see take place in that scene from dawn of justice. When you consider this deleted scene that takes place after the flash it becomes a closed loop.
I always felt that the Bruce Wayne of the animated series looked like a combination of George Clooney and Ben Affleck
George Clooney: "Sure, I'll do the self-effacing cameo as Bruce Wayne in the Flash movie, but I'm not going to shave my beard."
Warner Bros.: "...Okay, fine."
If we had a Poison Ivy movie with an Uma Thurman cameo, my life would be complete!
Question…why’s his phone screen recording at 1:08?
Because they couldn't do something as simple as someone simply calling that phone and had to use a fake recording video instead.
The original ending of the flash was supposed to have michael keaton's batman and supergirl. And it was supposed to setting up the batgirl movie and it was cut.
You're gonna give back what you stole too, George. 😂
Cloney seemed play Batman a lot better in 1 short minute than in 1 entire movie.

Gunn didn't do this

Barry, what did you do THIS time? 😂
Barry: I made a slight change to the security camera so that my dad was proven innocent.
I never thought Clooney was a bad Batman. He was just in a bad movie.
agreed!
If I understand correctly, they shot this scene originally with Keaton being the one to show up, with Barry being happy to see him alive, yet confused that the timeline is still screwed up. It'd also be revealed that Kara Zor-El (Supergirl) was alive too.
And that's the reason why the Batgirl movie ended up being shelved...
It’s Clooney toone time!!🤣
I love the George Clooney cameo. I know it was done for a joke. But I genuinely believe that if they wrote a decent script and let George have another shot at Batman, he would be incredible.
A lot of people blame George Clooney for the Batman and Robin movie, but it's not his fault. He just had poor written material.
He could have acted like Batman not himself.
Facts I loved George’s Bruce Wayne tbh he was acc my favorite Bruce wayne
Yeah people always blame actors for films failing when the bad decisions are being made by the suits, writers and directors. Being an actor is such an unfair job. You have all this pressure on your shoulders and get blamed for other people's mistakes. And the suits can then shake their hands and say: "See? I knew he/she would suck".
The material was bad.
@@KevinJohnson-hy4oc I'm in your team. I loved "Batman & Robin".
The worst part about this scene is how badly you can tell it’s all green screen.
The lines are so visible! During my first watch I wanted to laugh. I left the cinema angry lol.
I can't believe I had to scroll so much for this comment. It's comically bad.
the movie looks like shit in every respect. the green screen, the nonsensical dialogue, the schizophrenic protagonist… this is the death knell of mass cinema
@@Pat_Springleaf do you actually enjoy anything in life? I mean you sound kinda sour
This whole scene is the definition of “Unnecessary”. This film feels like a superhero movie from the early 2000s
This is how the Snyderverse sadly ends, with Flash bumbling the time line that Batman is now a differeny actor
It is'nt not sadly ends, it's a despicable murder by Warner
I’m not sure what I didn’t expect more between him coming back or Barry saying fuck
Cant wait to see Arnold Schwarzenegger again in a DC Movie
That reporter was The Ezra Miller's body double on the film.
The guy who interviewed Barry outside the courtroom was the same guy who played younger Barry 😅
Lol poor george he was called who the fuck is this..
so weird that the shot at 1:00 has completely CGI background. Look at the way the lady on the left with the white bag is walking at 1:05
I know I’m overthinking a simple throwback cameo, but aren’t Keaton and Clooney the same Bruce Wayne since Batman & Robin is part of the Burton Batman universe? This cameo shouldn’t exist, haha.
Exactly 💯
The 'who the fuck is this' expression is so natural and can't believe I also said the same line on cinema before I recognize that he was George Clooney😅😅😅😅
After the dude said that, George should've said "Come again?" , as a reference to his movie " from dusk till dawn "
Barry’s reaction seeing Clooney is gold 😂
I’m confused. Why are they in front of st. Paul’s Cathedral in London?
George Clooney is real cool about his Batman stint
Despite not being my favorite Batman, it was awesome to see George Clooney as Bruce Wayne again. And funny how both he and Michael Keaton seemed more enthusiastic playing Batman again than Ben Affleck
"Hey Barry, do you know what killed the dinosaurs in this universe? THE ICE AGE!!!"

I haven’t watched the movie and this guy managed to piss me off with his ‘quirkiness’ in just the first minute. Can’t even imagine sitting through 2 hours of that. Clooney looks badass though, should use this look.
Clooney looks like he'd make a good Slade Wilson ngl.
I died out laughing my a... off when I saw that scene.
This was DC's chance to reboot the DCEU and they failed with flying colors.
I don't think you understand what a reboot is.
@ I understand what a reboot is. The question is 'do you?'.
Apparently even James Gunn doesn't understand what a reboot is.
