A huge missed opportunity in not having Grant Gustin's Flash make a cameo especially as Ezra Miller already appeared in one scene with him on the CW show a few years earlier. Such a shame as it could have brought everything full circle

Yes, and no. In the CWEU, his version was shifted to become the Kingdom Come version of Superman. There were enough direct references to infer his CW appearance linked to his movie.

I definitely would've loved the Worlds Collide scene if the CGI was better and had used living actors as the cameos like Brandon Routh Superman or CW Flash. I do love the music and The Superman Lives reference though.
It couldn’t be better, CGI is still unable to convincingly emulate a human being specially in motion. It cant get better than this at least for now. It helps if you think of it as a surrealist world.
Yeah whoever does their CGI needs to learn that the point of it is to make unbelievable things look real. If I wanted to watch a cartoon there's a huge selection out there of the DC stuff.

It amazes me how the director tried to excuse the abominable CGI in this movie…You can maybe excuse the time bowl, but you can’t excuse the PS2 Nick Cage and Christopher Reeves…Even Barry himself looks CGI, it was just a complete mess.
It's not abominable CGI, you are being an obtuse idiot. *Everything* the Flash sees in the Speed Force is distorted. It's his 3D brain trying to process 4D realities from the outside across hyperdimensional barriers. It *should* look weird and surreal. It would be strange if it *didn't* look surreal.
They look cgi because well, they are cgi… how else can you have Chris Reeve in it? Did you know he died?
Have people not seen the other DCEU movies? They've all been trash and had the same awful CGI in them. The last good DC film was Man of Steel. Everything after that is mediocre.

@@Joecbg100 no, the script was great. It was written by Kevin Smith. But Nic Cage said fuck it and dropped out because he didn't like that Superman dodged behind a rock to avoid an attack. Tim was even apart of it because they never even officially started production on it.

One of the Reasons the Actors went on Strike last year. WB didn't tell Christopher Reeves Family of what's happening and Nicolas Cage wasn't even involve at all. Also no Grant Gustin? You had Ezra Miller made a Cameo on his show part of Crisis on Infinite Earths and they chose this movie over the Batgirl Movie?
Nicolas Cage was involved, but rather than only use just his scene, which was the scene of him standing while the camera moves away from him after alternate Barry dies, they decided to extend the scene. Regarding Grant Gustin, the director said he wanted to have not only him, but also Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman, Marlon Brando as Jor-El (who can be briefly seen in Reeve's sphere) and I don't remember if had mentioned another one, but he cut those because in his words it would've made the scene longer. Regarding Reeve's children, they say they haven't watched the movie, not that WB spoke to them. Don't forget they also closed a deal with WB regarding the Reeve's documentary.

In a sequence that sounds cool on paper, this was a misfire but I'd be lying if I wasn't excited seeing Cage as Superman. That is one of those moments where I want to see that full movie.
The rest is highly hollow and stupid. I don't want a CGI Christopher Reeves. RIP.

Flashpoint has so much potential as a story. I’m a casual comic book reader and have loved everything flashpoint. I know this isn’t supposed to be a direct adaptation but still seeing the core story be done so dirty. I’d rather just remember the animated movie. Also they clearly thought all these half ass cameos would mark up for a shit movie and they even fucked that up. Hilarious

It’s…….an imaginative scene to say the least and I do think it’s kind of neat Superman Lives with the Giant spider and everything finally made it to the silver screen in a way.
I just honestly felt mostly nothing watching this for the first time and I’m usually ecstatic when Adam West’s Batman appears/is referenced and I like Christopher Reeves’ Superman well enough that I should have been happy about that.

One of the greatest joys I had watching The Flash was being able to watch fours versions of Superman in the same movie, Henry Cavill, George Reeves, Christopher Reeve and Nicolas Cage.
Henry was barely utilized in the most minimal ways possible, basically a cameo early on where he's entirely offscreen from a distance and the weird CG-double cameo in one of the time travel moments. He was about as vivid as Adam West's Batman.

My only wish they did more of what could've been cameos they established Nic Cage Superman is out there in DC Multiverse or they could've have Adam Brody recorded a cameo as Barry Allen/The Flash from George Miller Justice League Mortal or the cast of that show up or Jack Black as Green Lantern as he was supposed to be Green Lantern at one point have Adam West and Christopher Reeves voice echos or use deleted scenes to use for Val Kilmer

Honeslty, the 1st half of this movie is really good, but once they brought in Supergirl & the multiple other timelines the story got overbloated. Plus, the message of how some things can't be changed like saving his mom is ruined with Barry literally doing that to free his dad.

People are talking about just CGI. Yes, I know it's not good. I am sure there must be a solid reason for this, could be budget issue or something. But apart from CGI I love the movie, This is not that bad people! Love the chemistry of Barry with his mom.
Still awful using CGI Dead Actors like this, completely shameful. I felt a tinge of happiness seeing Reeve again and it’s fun that Nic Cage actually got to do a little something as Superman, but overall completely awful. Like 2/5 movie if I’m being generous.

@@Joecbg100 I mean, the concept of using dead actors isn't a bad idea in of itself, but if it's done purely for spectacle and not with care and respect, then yeah, people are gonna be upset.
For example, they used CGI and special effects to recreate Harold Ramis in Ghostbusters: Afterlife, but nobody had any issues with it because not only did Sony have permission from his family for his likeness, but his presence was treated as loving tribute / send-off.

The dark entity appears at the cronobowl and reveals himself as future Barry, who have lost his sanity in a attempt to save Kara and Bruce several times, destroying the fabric of the multiverse in the process.
Dark Flash tries to convince Original Barry by keeping their mother alive, but Barry refuses to listen, Dark Flash tries to kill him but Barry 2 intervenes and he's been fatally stabbed, erasing Dark Flash from existence.
