    You know Your UA-cam channel is Truly a Great Channel, from Your Trips ,bike/Scooter Maintenance,Mods & just your discussion while Riding..Of all the Channels I've watched or Subscribed to Your's is the most all around informative.Thanks again for your time. You sure will save many Headaches not to do this one. Hopefully the Forza 350 or ADV 350 Will make it to the USA & can tell US about it. One of those is on my Wishlist....Take Care!!!

      Thanks again for the kind feedback, James! I'm anxiously awating the Honda ADV350, too! These prolonged supply chain shortages have thrown another monkey wrench into our small bike/scoot options here in the USA, so it's anybody's guess whether Honda will decide to bring them to our shores or not. The ADV160 is reportedly a sure thing, but it might be delayed as well. Here's to holding our collective breath and crossing our fingers! 🍻🤞😉👍 --QM

    Thanks for this video. I started doing this job without watching anything but I started having all the same questions as you, then I watched as you learned and answered them all for me. 😂

    I just did it to mine, tried to line the Bolts with electrical tape to try to soften how it digs into the fork covers. Will probably set it back also

    Sorry the fender lift kit didn't turn out to be ideal but, damn, that tire looks good.

      I'm eager to take it out on some trails and mushy stuff to try out those new knobbies! I might do something really stupid with it... like ride down to Padre Island and do some beach camping. Fall is coming, so I'd like to get out for some adventure camping & cooking out in the woods somewhere. We'll see! 😉👍 --QM

      @@QuasiMotard you say that trip might be stupid? I say it's Quasi-possible. 👍

    Installed the fender lift kit. I hadn't seen this video so the horn immediately dented the front fender! The stock CT125 shocks are exceptionally soft. The expensive YSS front fork upgrade kit doesn't really help.

    Looking at how it has unfolded so far, I think I would amend it to put the button head side against the fork gaiters.

      I tried that fitment off camera... the nuts interfered with tire clearance, so I settled for this placement instead. These brackets are ill-conceived overall. A better solution would be to use a set of U-shaped (and properly relieved) brackets that fit just outboard of the lower fork mounts. That would prevent the bowing caused by the extra bracket thickness between the fender and fork tube. That approach would also allow a more modest fender lift to prevent topping-out into the fork clamps above the fender. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM

    Forget that, I am gonna go with a new fender that mounts way up high, near the tree

    Hi QuasiMotard. Those little led lights you put on the Highway crash bar. Maybe you have a link to them Or a name and size of them

    • @QuasiMotard
      @QuasiMotard  2 роки тому +1

      Hello, Søren! Those are the Denali D2 driving lights: denalielectronics.com/products/d2-led-light-pods-with-datadim%E2%84%A2-technology . They are a bit spendy, but their light output is excellent for the minimal amount of power/current that they consume. I purchased these through RevZilla here in the USA, but Denali has worldwide distributors.
      I mounted them onto the crash bar with these generic (cheap) mounts: amzn.to/3qnJL2s . Unfortunately, these mounts don't tighten securely enough to this 7/8" (22mm) bar to prevent vibrating out of position. The rubber inserts allow too much slack, so I needed to wrap the crash bar with a few turns of grip tape (similar to what is used for skateboards) to add girth and friction to prevent the mounts from rotating. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM

    what tires do you use?

    • @QuasiMotard
      @QuasiMotard  Рік тому +1

      You can find the product links in the video description. These are the IRC GP-1 dual sport tires in 3.00-17". I used the same tires on front and rear, but I don't recommend this large tire on the front wheel. I plan to replace the front tire with a 2.5-2.75" tire instead to give more clearance and better steering response. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM

    Oh no. I want this to work so badly

    • @QuasiMotard
      @QuasiMotard  2 роки тому +1

      It seems to work so far, but the fitment is not the greatest. There is just enough clearance for the tire between the fender supports... but just barely. The 3.00-17" tire doesn't feel the greatest on the front because the CT125 has a very short wheelbase and a steep steering rake. The steering is a bit vague and squishy now.
      I'm editing my ride vlog from that day right now. I discuss the feel of these tires and a few caveats to be aware of before committing to installing them on the CT. I should have that vlog edited and posted later tonight. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM

    What kind of knobby’s did you buy for your CT125 because I want knobby tires 🛞 on my CT125

    • @QuasiMotard
      @QuasiMotard  Рік тому

      I installed IRC GP-1 3.00-17" knobbies on both front and rear. I don't recommend the 3.00" on the front because it required the use of this fender lift kit. I'll probably go back down to a 2.50-2.75" front tire to give a bit more clearance on the sides and also to restore a bit of control in the steering. The wide tire on the front makes the steering feel a bit vague and sluggish compared to the OEM tire. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
