Maybe next time you could try Haidilao Hotpot. It’s famous for its good service. And it is a global chain, you can also try it in Melbourne, Sydney, New York,Los Angles and so on.
Thanks for sharing real China to the world and to those who haven’t been there!!! There are tons of yummy food in China, you will be quickly spoiled. 😊
Greetings from Malaysia 🇲🇾 Loving your China series. Looks like you went to Disneyland...did I missed your Disneyland video or you haven't put it up yet?
I suggest you go to the residential area and try to have some local breakfast in China. It's cheaper and more delicious than 7-11. And about the hotpot, the dipping is very important thing, there are lots of dipping style in China. But for the Sichuan hotpot, there are 2 most popular dippings. One is mixed with garlic, oyster sauce, green onion and lots of peanut oil. The other one is mixed with green onion, salt, lots of sesame sauce and a little peanut oil.
It's kinda weird but ,the small takeout places actually expect you pay and takeout your order rather than finish eating and then pay. Not sure if that's how you do things or it's the same in NZ. ,just noticed it.
With a transit visa in Shanghai, you can visit all the popular tourist cities in the neighboring provinces of Jiangsu and Zhejiang, such as Nanjing, Suzhou, and Hangzhou. It would be a pity to only stay in Shanghai.
Some of the street food, only tourists would buy, like the bbq and the milk cream tea, it’s not authentic and not good taste, check where the local people would go or where queue up people, you would never make mistakes…
The city with the most delicious food is Guangzhou, not Shanghai. Guangzhou’s food is particularly suitable for foreigners.Prices in China are very cheap and there are many types of food. You can save a lot of money by living in China. If you go to Europe to live, the price is five times that of China. China is a cashless society, and coins are too heavy and inconvenient to carry.
@@willpalmeer yes most local people will not try the long stick bbq , and instant foods in convenience store… but hotpot and xiaolongbao(dumplings) is good choice for Shanghai.
What’s your thoughts of China? And are you from China or foreigner? Comment below where you’re from!

Well china looks more promising than the west portrayed it
It was quite normal before 2018, when the US-China trade war was in full effect. It is amazing how a few years of propaganda will do

i highly recommend rice noodle instead of wheat noodle, which has better texture and is more diverse. the best wheat noodle is Lan Zhou Ramen though

小伙子,筷子用的不错。。。哈哈哈哈欢迎常来。
100 USD food in China, even in Shanghai where the food prices are relatively high, will make your tummy swells up like a basket ball.
hahah yea
Molt interessant. El millor sopar i es car pels xinesos. Bon viatge amics

You should look for mutton ramen and mutton soup, they know how to cook it

thanks!
Swedish Chinese living in Ireland. My parents are from Shanghai. Really missed the food there 😂
USD100 food is not a challenge in China. Even CNY100 ($14) is not a challenge😅. If busy tourist region is avoided, USD10 is also fine.
hahah ok
Best experience. Vaig visitar china 5 mesos al 1995 . 😮😮😮😊😊😊😊
yep!
Either you walk around wearing a shirt with bulls eye on the back saying "scam me", or you have all the makings of a scam magnet. LOL

most chinese people won't add any vinegar into beef noodle soup lol.

It depends. People in north of China add even more vinegar into noodle soup than Will did😅
这灯好亮啊😅

@@willpalmeer My son lives there and he is sssoooo happy 😊 😃
You tried some street food which I think most of Chinese they don’t try.😂
They do. They are richest on this earth with respect to purchasing power.
haha really?

you guys eat too much😂
hahahhaha
Will, I couldn't make any sense out of your dollar figures spazzing out on the screen. The values didn't correlate with anything.
how much I was spending
Actrully ,Shanghai food is the worse in China !
It can't be.
haha what
@@willpalmeer yes .. but its not that bad. Just there is not much specialty only xiaolongbao and some Shanghai onion noodles.
Have you ever been to HangZhou, the place dubbed food desert?
