I am 44 hours into the game and still finding new things to do and new game mechanics. Its an absolutely amazing game, and I say this as someone who is not a fan of the original IP.

@@alchemicmage Yes, but it's the exact same thing. Going to Hogwarts, save the world. Explore the same world as the books/movies.
@@ItApproaches The story, both main and side quest lines, have pretty much nothing in common with the HP movies. Hogwarts Legacy does rely heavily on the flavor details and being filled with easy to miss stuff, but Hogwarts Legacy is the first HP product that doesn't rely on an overarching "dark lord and his followers" plot. The dark wizards in HL are literally just criminals doing criminal things.

All of the houses get a house specific quest. Hufflepuff gets to visit Azkaban and see the use of Patronus and Dementors.

The think I love about this game when you're pick different houses you have different conversations the only reason I know that is because I have a brother and picked a different house will he didn't picked it the app picked itself
This game is everything we ever dreamed a Harry Potter game could be. As someone who grew up during the book and movie releases, this game is absolute magic.
Also, it's straight up just one of the most beautiful and detailed games I've ever played before. What a great sign of things to come for next-gen games.
I only got into the HP world a few yrs ago, I could only imagine wat it’s like for fans who grew up with the books/movies

I'm straight down the line of Hufflepuff and Gryffindor. I did my first playthrough as a Gryffindor, and am starting to see I just might lean more towards that way. I have the greatest admiration for Hufflepuffs. Well done.

After 45 hours of gameplay I’m maybe 30% through the game-but I’m one of the 1.8% of players who brewed & used all the potions and the .5% who fully upgraded armor 😂

Revelio is your friend, I might suggest using it often and everywhere to see all the easter eggs. I try to cast all my spells as often as possible to "train " my wand stronger. Pretty much has lore and upgrades and fun. I try put myself in a 15 yo's mindset in all my game choices. Ymmv

I noticed something during the scenes with the flying carriage. At the beginning, you only see the carriage. You know thestrals are pulling it, but you can't see them. After the dragon attacks, and bites the rear of the carriage off, the thestrals are visible because the player character just watched George die.
Hmmm maybe a bug?
Not a bug, but a feature. Thestrals can only be seen by someone who has "seen death", e.g. watched someone die. In the game, your character saw George die when he was crushed (and probably swallowed) by the dragon after it bit off the rear of the carriage. After that, she looked forward, and we could see the thestrals become visible. This happens at 8:00.

50:15 I feel like Arthur Plummly doesn't move his lips enough. It doesn't seem like he's actually talking. I found it a bit jarring when I got here in my own game because it was the first time I noticed it. I think every conversation up to this point was fine, so I'm not sure why it seems to be a problem with him.
