that's NOT a safe PSU, if you look at good brands/models of 1600W PSUs you will see that most of them don't even turn on the fan until it actually get's stressed, that's just a 50$ chinese PSU, even if it was only 500W it would still be loud.
Actually my ryzen 3070 laptop was like that before but i had warranty so called them and they just replaced the motherboard for some reason 😂. Now i can barely hear it at gaming
@@DNFplays Mine has almost a direct upgrade - i7 13600h or smth and a 4060, and when the fans ramp up, it gets annoying, but it also quiets down if the temps go below a certain amount.

@Kavics325 well, like i said, as long as it isn't a bunch of electrical noises, i don't mind loudness. If it's smells like burning, then it's dying and you should replace it Also i won't start to care cause it's your PSU and not mine-
1600 W is actually above the safe limit of US 120 V standard circuits. 1500 W is the highest you’re supposed to go, with 1800 W being the trip point for the breaker (12.5 A and 15 A respectively).
My old hx650 would make a whistling kind of sound idk how to describe it but after the fan is running for a while and it slows down it does that, I don't really mind as it's been working reliably for about 12 years now
I took my tiny little 750w funhouse apart and shocked myself twice after replacing the old Fan that took my nerves out of my body alive with a new rgb one ye.
Once built a pc with like most powerful fans i could find... swear to god that things sounded like an airplane engine spinning up when it turned on. Had to wear headphones to play games was so loud. (Never did that again but was pretty epic.)
If you if the fan noise bothers, so you just buy a room fan like a box fan and then run that next computer you won’t be able to tell how loud it is. It works really well that’s what I do.
Bit of an odd question but does anyone here know why my psu buzzes even when the computer is turned off? The second the plug is switched on it buzzes all the time and its getting pretty annoying
You already heal my desktop I got the fans cut up or the fan carve speed and the computer still gets a little warm but I got to fix for that it's on its way some new paste even though the paste ain't that old
White noise from my pc is better than the beeping it does, i haven't been able to figure out whats making it but it works fine so i aint gonna mess with it anymore. If a little white noise is an issue you're too picky.
I like max air cooling so my PC is really loud along with my air purifier and portable AC thats pointing at my PC and I cant hear any of it over my headphones lol
Now you know the state of the PC industry noise problems we all had to live with in the early aughts. Whiny fans on CPU's that induced permanent hearing damage in the upper ranges.
What are you gaming in silence without headphones or a 7.1 surround sound speaker set up? 1600w power supply aint for your dvd player its a serious power supply for serious gaming set ups

1 that is quieter than both my laptop and my ps4😂 2 who in the ass has a 1600watt power supply in their home pc? Lol bro gaming on a commercial server rig😂
To be fair it is a 1600W PSU. It is still loud for its wattage.
seems cheap so it might have a crappy loud fan
lmao lol there's no way thats actually a 1600W PSU, that thing looks sketchy af
I mean i wasnt suprised to actualy hear it since its a goddamn 1600w psu. For anything 1000 or below i'd expect it to be almost completly silent

So you haven't heard the sound of an average gaming laptop yet...
Power supply from 2006 💀
@Pixelman-k3v
It's quiet too
I have an average gaming laptop and it doesn't even make any sound on medium settings 120fps Fortnite.
Blue comment?
Tbh, the noise of it would make me relaxed, for some reason I like the sound of the loud power supply.
Damn, thats gonna be a loud boom when it explodes
It's videos like this that confuse me mainly cause I got a massive fan blowing in my room 24/7
Because this item makes all components cooler not getting hot

I don't know what's worse, that or my PSU that sounds like a 1.9TDI idling 4 houses away.
Every PSU from an old 80s or 90s PC is that loud.
Damn. Good thing im not running around with a nuclear powered PC. Or I'd be in danger. 1600W just seems insane.
Bro thats the sound of old desktop powersupply
Sounds just like my ryzen 3070xtx laptop
I have twelve artic p12 Max Dan's in the PC.
Quiet doesn't exist.
It's still more quiet than my old Eurocase PSU with broken fan from like 2003 (but it works fine for some...reason) 🤷
Sounds like a boxed CPU cooler at 2k rpm.
My xbox sounds like a jet engine but that's how I know the fans work right 🤣
It's al. Most like these people never grew up with the wonderful sounds of a 90s pc
Ah yes my favorite sound when you turn on your old Samsung r20/P400
i probably wouldnt notice it over the sound of my other fans 😭
Meanwhile I don't think the fan in my 1000W PSU has ever turned on...
A bit louder and it flys
Bit of an odd question but does anyone here know why my psu buzzes even when the computer is turned off? The second the plug is switched on it buzzes all the time and its getting pretty annoying
Orrr, there is an added in rain ambiance feature... That you can't turn off.
Were gonna need this for the rtx 5090 & 5080😭😭😭

I'm pretty sure it's for servers, it's not FOR consumers, that's why the noise doesn't matter
I prefer loud fans. Especially on a CPU cooler and PSU. If one of those fans suddenly die, I know where to look if disaster strikes.
Every single minute? Of every single day no less? Damn i got no life but that is next level 🤣
That is still kinda good. I have pc that is vibrating because of PSU
And thats what happens when you run 130v to 1600w

if it's making a loud beep when you first boot it may be your motherboard telling you to replace the CMOS battery.
I’ve made a Power Supply even louder than that that’s way less wattage.

Is the fan speed changeable or is it just always like that?

This level of sound at idle is unacceptable. I happen to have an SFX PSU that came in ny Nzxt H1 v2 that always runs its fan at 100%. So noisy!
