I just got this guitar to try out as a travel/beater guitar and have been messing around with the setup for the last few days. The frets were a bit rough and the 0 fret was a little high. I ended up using a fret file on the 0 fret, polishing the rest (no leveling) and doing a neck adjustment. I also started tuning a 1/2 step up. For what it is, it actually sounds pretty good with the stock strings. At some point I’ll probably swap them out and try a compensated saddle but I’m happy with it the way it is, for what it is. It’s definitely NOT a high end guitar.
I couldn't fret it properly, (fat fingers/slender fret margins)and it always sounded slightly out if tune. We sent it back. That said thank you for taking time to watch.
Thanks for the review. May try one out. I think the issue you had with barring was your manly sausage fingers 😂 In my experience travel size guitars require an adaption in playing style compared to full size. Be interesting to try one of these out 👍
Thank you for watching. I struggled with this one and a harley benton ds-10 mini but not my harley benton Delta blues t which is almost the same size . I also have 2 concert ukuleles that I can fret fine but...let me know how you get on, it's a fantastic object, just unusable for me as an instrument.
I ordered this guitar from Amazon yesterday (still waiting) because it was on sale, but one of my only gripes with it is that it doesn’t have 20 or more frets like an actual Les Paul guitar would. Although, I guess I really should have expected that given it’s size of 32 inches and the word “Mini” literally being in the same name as the guitar itself, which isn’t necessarily my main concern for the small guitar because I’m not particularly a tall or big guy, so I just counted on me being small enough to make the guitar look normal, at least while I’m holding it. What I’m actually worried about is if it will hold up well when jamming out in the metal genre of music. I favour Metallica, since their riffs are easy enough to remember for an intermediate player, like me. (Probably more of a mediocre player, but some people say I’m just reaching💀)
And yes, I am one of those dudes who plays metal music on an acoustic guitar. It’s better that way anyway! (It’s not, I’m just kinda broke and looking for ways to be happy again🤣)
@MagnetMan_Badumtss I admire your enthusiasm I have sausage fingers and found the frets from 5th onwards a bit difficult. Okay for chords but nothing else. The intonation seemed out too. So I returned it as unplayable. I hope u have a much better experience. I used a clip on jack plug cable to plug into an amp and used distortion on it but again, the intonation issue ruined the experience
No, the sound was OK for just practice. The real issues I had were that even some basic chords were hard to fret as it's got quite a thin and short scaled fretboard. I could have compromised with that for the way it looked but it wouldn't tune right either. The low e string was out for either open or bar chords if u played one type of chord the tuning was then out for the other. Thank you for watching.
Thanks for watching but no, not in my opinion the next size up might be better but costs a lot more, it's had very positive reviews. This mini might be cheap but it's not practical.
Thanks for watching sadly I can't say that I recommend it at all to anyone. I couldn't get a decent chord out of it. I don't think your height will be the issue. My fingers are rather thick, this appears to be my main barrier to being able to play it as the frets are very narrow.
I am sorry I dont, I sent it back shortly after the video as it was hard for me to play due to my thick fingers and it wouldn't seem to stay in tune the intonation seemed a bit off. Thank u for watching, sorry I can't be of help.
@finalbossfit thanks for watching but we did tune it several times, the intonation was out on it. I have 8 other guitars without this issue. Have a go yourself, buy it and try it? Let me know how u get on? We started noticing it after 5th fret.

Nice playing man. This thing seems to sound great for gentle picking!

Thanks , someone say have minor intonation issue
Try tuning a to a, mostly guitalele which is similar in scale length tuning in a
Thanks for watching but I sent it back, fret wise my fat fingers couldn't cope.
The onyl issue is you cant amplify that right?

Would this be ok for a beginner that mostly plays chords for singing?

Alright thanks a bunch!
@@asc24hothwhat would be the reason why it's not recommended for beginners for playing only chirds?
I'm 6'2 would you recommend this guitar

Hi, do you know what string gauge comes stock on the Nova Go Mini? Thank you😊

@@asc24hoth thanks for your reply. Yes, the frets are really tight , and my goodness… the intonation is a mess.
In my spec sheet it says Enya Custom. Might replace it with a D'addario or Elixir
@@marcymcflybv1558 thanks so much 🥰
@@RobertBartko no prob, but I realized I didn't fully answered your question 😅. I guess this is a 12g tho.
is it low action ?
Decent enough but I struggled with the small frets and intonation
Dude… get a tuner.
