The PokeToons have been quite fun. An aspect I appreciate about these animations is how they show the relationship between humans and Pokemon. I know the anime, movies and games showcase this relationship well, but it's nice seeing normal, everyday people interacting with these creatures with little battling and no big plots/arcs involved. While human and Pokemon relationships aren't perfect, these toons furthur cement that these two species bring out the best in each other, in many ways.
The character designer behind the Chansey Poketoon also illustrates Pokemon cards. Some notable cards include the Erika's Invitation SAR from SV: 151, Parasol Lady Full Art from Paradox Rift, the Scarlet Trainers of Paldea Full Art from Peldean Fates, and recently the Sylveon ex SAR from Terastal Festival, or Prismatic Evolutions in english.
My favorite part of that one is how they took Lavender Town’s theme and turned it into something that wouldn’t seem out of place in a Scooby Doo chase scene.
Hashwalth. Some people may not watch Bleach ,so they may not know him and calling him Hashbrown is stupid and unfunny . Idk why so many ppl call him that and are amused by this.
Tbh I love it when Pokémon make these shorts. They're somehow better when they focus on more peope other than Ash (or the other main protagonists). Also @4:22 oh HI Meg's uncle! One Piece Called! They want Frankies design back! 🤣
Yea, I remember someone saying that Ash was the backbone of the anime before his run on the show ended, but all of Pokemon's animations on UA-cam have told me otherwise. That's not to say that Ash was completely unimportant, just that Pokemon's appeal extends far beyond his story. The selling point of this franchise is the Pokemon themselves and the fact that so many people can easily envision themselves in the world, so seeing those various stories play out feels like the true core of what Pokemon has to offer.
@3_LollipopOfTheMoldiKind yes. And it's kinda small. You have to pause to see it. It's only in that one shot though so when they showed them flying away it was either out of frame, already gone, or was just another coloring animation. (Although the green IS it's Shiny colors!)
For a sec it reminded me of the green Weedles you can see in the background in a random episode in the original series. That one was a coloring mistake though.
I’ve been following Pokétoon since pretty much the beginning! I’m glad that we’re getting spinoff content like this. It may not be games, but it’s still such a great expansion of the Pokémon world. My favourite shorts are Yume no Tsubomi and the Charcadet short. I love meeting pairs of Trainers and their partner Pokémon, and Tsubomi’s story with Nidoran is so cute. And yes. The Charcadet short made me cry buckets.
Poketoon is such a good show of side chapters and shows alot of positives with pokemon as a bunch of good stories, the animation, and the relationships and even the writing even if its a basic concept for the most part.
My favorite was the Chansey one. Its physicality is just so bizarre yet hilarious, and the story itself feels extremely Pokemon to me. I also just like the uncle's design; he looks like a grumpy, disheveled Rika. The Primeape one was also super fun.
I'm pretty sure the Primeape fight between it and Baxcaliber was animated by the same studio that animated Chainsaw Man so it makes sense it looks so good.
These will probably get dubbed eventually it just will take a while like with the 2020-2021 seires getting dubbed in 2022. Currently only Japanese and Chinese version of the episode are made.
I really love Poketoon episodes and getting to see all these different situations we don't normally see in the mainline series. This is 100 percent the eevee fanboy in me but i would love a poketoon episode focused on all the current eeveelutions.
Oooh. I know there was like a little webcomic featuring the Eeveelutions like posted on the PokeTimes Twitter account. Wonder if any fans have translated it 🤔
Pokemon has so much great stuff with the spin offs. But i gotta give it to the manga for highlighting characters that could use the development in base game especially the gym leaders
Pokemon baki or hajime no ippo spin off when? They'd make bank following ash's primape going through a journey eventually evolving into annailape and winning the world championship title.
Oh man I adore Poketoon and I was so excited when they announced a season 2! I'm a bit disappointed in the youtube short form ones since the Ducklett and Capsakid ones were so dang cute (Capsakid could've had a 20 minute pilot-esque episode) but overall I had a great time watching these
For sure Gogoat is in Kalos and Charcadet is in Paldea. Think Chansey one is implied to be the Kanto Safari Zone? And them Primape could be anywhere, but we know Lisia toured there 😂
“I laughed, I cried, it moved me Bob.”
Don’t think I didn’t see that Veggietales reference 🤣👉
YEAHHH 🍅 🥒

Yes it shows many positives. And it also shows how it deals with negativity
Did I get that right?

Wow, what a range of cards. I can see their style in the Chansey animation.
@@GatorEXi need, I NEED HUG CHANSEY XD,
"Help! I Turned Into A Gengar" is peak Pokémon storytelling and better than my childhood Anipoké and all of other animations.
Yeah, remember all the talk around that one when it came out!
My favorite part of that one is how they took Lavender Town’s theme and turned it into something that wouldn’t seem out of place in a Scooby Doo chase scene.
@@GatorEXyeah it was definitely one of my faves
It even got me more into the ghost type more than it needed to hahaaaa
@@michaelnelson1127 TRUE
Yeah, just like mystery dungeon, even the other pokemon could talk but ofc they can talk because we using the girl point of hearing as pokemon
I saw clips from the Ceruledge Story and wasn't disappointed, but man, I didn't expect that Primeape toon to be that genuinely hilarious.
That armouruge and ceruledge one is literally just hashbrown and bazz b from Bleach and i love it😂
Hashwalth. Some people may not watch Bleach ,so they may not know him and calling him Hashbrown is stupid and unfunny . Idk why so many ppl call him that and are amused by this.

I think the main series anime is still cool, but these type of shorts really show that Pokémon works so well when you expand the world.
@GatorEX me too just get tiresome when they follow the same characters over and over and over again.

5:46 bro the mom literally looks identical to Jessie, the hair color, the eye colors, even the earrings had to specifically be green and circular
She was probably made to look like her as a reference, but it's not the same character cause different voice actors.
@5:19 OMG! IS THAT A SHINY HOPPIP?! ✨️🌱
I don't see one-- which part of the screen are you looking at? :o
Or did you mean the shot at 5:20 'cause I definitely see one there
@3_LollipopOfTheMoldiKind yes. And it's kinda small. You have to pause to see it. It's only in that one shot though so when they showed them flying away it was either out of frame, already gone, or was just another coloring animation. (Although the green IS it's Shiny colors!)
@@ShadyRK9 oh okay! Then I didn't miss it! :D
Thank you!
@3_LollipopOfTheMoldiKind just checked Bulbapedia just to make sure and they are Indeed labeling that Hoppip as a Shiny! ✨️🌱

My daughters love “Slugma Powered Home” from last year. My youngest will use it as bedtime story some nights.
Slugma is such a fun character!
Slugma may be slow but definitely is fire ;)

8:29 Love how Ceruledge pulled an Ouja on that Grimmsnarl lol.
You know during the X&Y TCG block where they had a story of 2 worlds colliding through the cards.
Yeah, I would love to see that animated!
Ohhh yeah, that’d be real interesting! 🤔
4:21 The uncle's hair is the same as Rika's. Coincidence? I think not
The episode of the two Charcadet was the first one I watched, and it honestly blows the anime out of the water in terms of animation quality.
kinda makes tho, since the anime is constant while these shorts are, well, shorts
My favorite was the Chansey one. Its physicality is just so bizarre yet hilarious, and the story itself feels extremely Pokemon to me. I also just like the uncle's design; he looks like a grumpy, disheveled Rika.
The Primeape one was also super fun.
Yeah, Chansey is just so weird! It’s perfect for a Pokémon story.
The capsikid short legit looks like a preview to a pretty cure season! Magical girl pokemon spin off when
Yeah, it’s so funny. They nailed the look!
I'm pretty sure the Primeape fight between it and Baxcaliber was animated by the same studio that animated Chainsaw Man so it makes sense it looks so good.

All of these stories are great. The Primape and Armorouge/Ceruledge episodes story and animation are absolutely amazing.
Oh yeah, the fight scenes are so fun even if they’re pretty short. They put their all into them.
Is it just me or does the Gogoat one kinda look like studio Ghibli animation?
Hmm, I can see the similarities with the colors and round faces on the characters 🤔
2:30 Nice VeggieTales reference!
The Silvyon Dancing is pretty cute.

@@GatorEX Cool do you know the name of the webcomic?
That chansey was being the road runner.
When chansey speed stat is one of it's weaker stats.
It had max out 252+ speed.
Nah that chansey meet kirby and learn the best evasion maneuvers.
This anime finally explains why it was uncatchable 😂

Goated so many incredible eps. Chansey ep hits man
Hopefully, these get dubs like the 2020-2021 seires getting dubbed in 2022. Currently only Japanese and Chinese version are available.
Hm, how very interesting, I wonder what we could get next?
Maybe one focusing on the Fairy Trio of Galar?
I HAVE watched these and subscribed since I noticed it during Legends release.
PokéToon? More like PeakeToon
The chance episode was my favorite.
,But I thought Capsakid was an ad for a short film. 😢
