well, not really, her master wears the exact armor you are wearing, he's not associated with being rotten in fact he's the one who taught malenia how to fight against the rot. does this mod state that he is?
Based on the sword his using and the only water themed dancer in the game i think its suposed to be him (i am also dissapointed about his potrayal but looking into GoA they made a lot more questionable decisions)

If this is the one who taught malenia how to fight the scarlet rot as well as seal the rot god, this could be that this is the price he paid after sealing an outer god, even he like radahn couldn’t escape the aftermath of the scarlet rot

he's also blind so there could be an opportunity for stealth interactions with the crepus vial, assassins approach or crouch walking, since no other bosses have this, and it's a neat callback to old hero from des
also i think a version that's more lore faithful, without the rot, would be cool as well. an opportunity to have a boss with insanely long chains of attacks, and one who can do waterfowl dance without life stealing you, could make a cool fight

I feel like him using Waterfowl Dance shouldn’t be exclusive to people wearing Malenia’s armour (Though him doing it right off the bat when you use Malenia’s armour is a neat detail). I would suggest that he start doing Waterfowl at around 50% health with a 30 second cooldown once he hits that HP threshold. Though I like his basic moveset. Also it would be cool if his moves have the Waterfowl flurry effect when he’s 10% HP and below as a desperation tactic.
Edit: I kind of have to change my comment a few times since I didn’t do a proper analysis of the boss till the end.

Owl + isshin reskin.. (also why would malenia's master have rot abilities, let alone rot body parts lol. His whole thing was that he managed to trap the rot god beneath the cloister with just his raw/sword skills alone ).
Cuz "being corrupted by the thing you fight" is totally not annoying and overdone trope (im also wandering why he was corrupted, its not artorias situation where he fights the rot, he already beaten rot twice (second time is by learning malenia to keep the rot sealed))

Its amazing but i wish he was more focused on the style they hinted being mrow fluid,tight and rapid attacks maybe ability to parry and ripost you.
And 2nd phase could be something like this where the rot outer god finally breaks him and fights more like a mad swordsman then an elegant skilled duelist
Love the fact they used the one reborn sound affects a nice nid to bloodbirne
His move set is so cool

It does not seem to be like a bad fight if we hue shift it to blue. The issue is, it isn't well placed - reskin it to have a water theme and move em' somewhere where he will fit in and not messing with his lore. With some tweaking, he would be pretty fun. I like his style, but giving him water abilities would be not only more fitting but make him really fun to fight. I feel like he could use some dialogue and maybe even a questline. But he has to be well placed. He would be a great replacement for the Valiant Gargoyle's! Like really, the use of Lady Butterflies midair steps is really nice. Rot plus the poorly placed lore reference really ruins the fight.

Not the real master. They use water and ice as their main elements, and they’re known to look like a fairy dancing with swords upon the battlefield
He aint the master. Hes just a non-canon boss, but hey, hes the closest so far, if only he wasnt in a scarlet rot area...

I bet her master lost to LMSH master showing the rivalry between them. We saw prime LMSH beat prime Malenia. Their battle is none ending. I guess that explains the birth of millicent and her sisters.
I like to think that Namtur has finally decided to Finish off the Rot God once and for all, he thought by killing off the Rot God would finally solve all the problem for both malenia and for the lands between, i mean... they do have a long rivalry with eachother. but he overesitmated himself and gets corrupted, so it's like Fortissax, the both of them have noble goal that could solve a world ending problem but failed and becomes the very thing they swore to destroy. And i like to think that this also some sort of payback for the Rot God, It knows that the blind swordsman is capable and very prideful of his skill, the Rot God decided to corrupt the Swordsman and turning it into his champion/guardian.
So this is what became of the Blind Swordsman after sealing away the God of Rot… he sealed it away in his own flesh..
Oh Namtur, you have been corrupted by what you swore to destroy.

If you wanna make this lore accurate replace his rot with water, perhaps this variant could be the consequence of slaying his water variant since you can't really fight the god of rot when you are dead
