The going price as of this moment in the southeastern part of the states is $12.52 tax included. That’s just for whitewood. Thanks for the free plans and video!! You’ve got a new subscriber here!
Just found your channel and have already started making a chicknic table 😂 also was stupid excited that someone making chicken furniture was wearing a Crass hoodie. Excited to see more videos from you both!
Thanks so much for tuning in, welcome to our channel! 😊 Yes we have a punk rock background so we like diy. Let us know if you have any questions on the table!
Just built one following this vid! Turned out great. One thing is I ended up with over 5 1/2 feet left of the 1x2 so to save a couple bucks you could get an 8 footer and a 4 footer of the 1x2. Other than that awesome stuff thanks!
Thank you very much! You guys should definitely do it, it's so easy with only three pieces of wood, and it comes together really really fast. Let us know if our instructions are helpful or not.
I just found this and it’s adorable! I am going to make one for my son’s girlfriend. She loves her chicken babies. May I ask what size screws did you use?
Thank you for creating and sharing this kickass idea! Quick question.... did you seal it with anything afterwards? I usually use a water-based finish for all of my outdoor projects, but not 100% sure if that's Chicken-Safe??? I'm building this as a gift and I don't have much knowledge of Chickens myself lol.
Thanks a lot! I don’t paint or stain it, we use it on our chickens just the way it is. The wood will age and get dirty, but we get our money’s worth. I would check with the specific product you want to seal it with since the chickens will be eating off of it.
Maybe I am bad at math, but if the table-top is 7.5" wide and you used 3 1x3 boards @ 2.5" width, how do you have spaces between the boards? Especially if it is outdoors maybe you should make it a bit wider to leave space for board expansion?
Yoo! I found you from Think Media's Channel. This is wonderful! I love the video idea and title. I can say with confidence that if I owned a home I'd seriously consider getting some chickens because they're so easy to maintain when compared to other farm animals, they eat basically anything, and they produce fresh eggs! There isn't much down side to owning some chickens besides the small amount of work they take. Unless you're making them a "chic-nic table" 😂 Love it! Good background music for this as well. Keep creating my friend! 🙌 🐔 📸 🔥 As for me (My name’s Ryan!) I started creating content on UA-cam to help people live more meaningful lives. It really makes me sad to see people reflect on life and realize they could’ve done much more with the time they were blessed with! Watching others is one way we learn, so my goal is to be an example for others who need guidance on travel, self-development, and love in action! ❤️ Much love! 🤓 Keep chasing your dream and bringing value to your audience! 🙌🏼
thanks so much brother, chickens are really easy. Building them a chicknic table is just a little labor of love =] I'd do anything for our pet chickens. Thank you very much for stopping by! Everyone should have chickens at some point of their lives. Cheers!
Hmmm, I am really not sure, just to be safe, I leave them unstained, just because they do eat off of them and we feed them fruit like watermelon on it. Might be worth to do some research on the particular paint/stain you might want to use on yours.
Thank you so much for the step by step instructions!! Love it!! 😊
Thank you! Hope this helps and you try building one too 😊
Thanks for starting with the basics, cutting and where the pieces go.
Awesome tutorial! Just built this myself with your instruction for a little Mother’s Day present for the wife. Came out great
That's great to hear!!! I bet your mom will be super happy with her gift.
instaBlaster.
We just built this table following your plans. The chickens eat, walk and play on it. It turned out perfectly!

What length screws did you use??
I used 1 5/8 inch screws for this build. Thanks for watching! Let us know if you end up making one and how it turns out. Super easy!

It is a tight fit, but still wide enough for water to flow through when we rinse it out. It has worked out well so far =]
Very nice! What a beautiful brown and speckled chicken, what breed is that one? Thank you!
Jossssss banget
Thank you

Do you predrill before nailing?
so cute! How did you make your plank so it has no gaps when hooking it on and off at the top?

Did you use treated boards??
no, treated wood is not good for the birds to eat from.
Screw size?
Do you know if it's okay to stain it?
