- In this project, I extended our main outdoor faucet and built a dedicated garden hose system directly from the other side of the fence where my wife's garden is located.

Need to attach or detach your garden hose to its faucet a LOT for whatever reason? And the traditional connector is straining your wrists and hands with all that intense turning? Here's a quick connect solution 👉 ua-cam.com/video/8fzzxCoanZ0/v-deo.html
This helped me a lot. I'm s 70 year old woman trying to figure out how to move my hose bib from the side of my house on the patio to the adjacent wall in my flower bed. It's been driving me crazy!!
Hi from Australia 🇦🇺 This is brilliant! Exactly what I need for my large backyard. I rent so I can’t do anything permanent like dig trenches for new pipes or cement things in but this will work along the fence line to the back half of my almost half acre yard. I can also extend it to branch off for my two outdoor sinks & veggie washing stations I’m currently building! Thanks so much for such an easy solution & and clear explanation for the non plumbers amongst us.
You're welcome 🤗
So super smart! I'll have to give this a try. Thanks. 😀
Let me know how it went!
Great job! It might sound weird but I love how colorful the piping and hose are. Much better than the standard white pipe and green/black hose. Your garden is lovely.
thanks so much!
actually i was thinking that, too. plus the bright orange wall is fun. i have one waterline spigot installed in my garage and they used blue and i rather like it. kinda makes me not wanna cover it up. looks good on the white wall i finally painted.
I love this! Thank you so much, your presentation and final product were lovely. I bet your wife was pleased with the end result, too! I know I would be.
We are firsttime homeowners, with a small house and big yards! The house needs a lot of work, including a hose bib that the handle fell off the first time I tried to turn it on...haha. Replacing it tomorrow and was thinking about how to extend the line for front yard access too.
Just got a pressure washer so...new toy! Haha. Your video was perfect in giving me ideas.
Thank you
ah the joy and excitement of fixing and improving a home -- congrats and good luck! And thank you for watching, plenty more home DIY vids in my channel :)
hey, thanks for this. it's giving me some ideas on how to solve a few issues i have with spigots, placement, and what i need things for.
Only commenting on this because I ❤it. Starting with the critical: there is a sound effect that needs to go (you know the one; hint: the one that is intolerable ). Now for the good, I'm saving this and subscribing if the option is available. I love that you include what some would call "dumb mistakes." No one is dumber than I am, so I need this in videos I watch. If there's a mistake to make, I will make it. Bravo on this, I'm buying cinder blocks and yoinking that first pathway idea 💯
Let me know how your project turns out 👍
So much Gemini and Taurus in this video😂. Thank you so much.
Very clear instructions! I loved how you showed where you made an error and how you fixed it. Probably saved a lot of folks time avoiding that.
Did you ever have issues at the new location with the elbow joint coming “loose” from the daily strain on it from moving the hose around the garden? Thank you!
Years later, our extended faucet and garden hose still work fine! just make sure you clamp down the PVC pipes to make them stable. This will prevent anything coming loose due to vibrations or moving about.
This should be the new-old standard-gauge to rule the kitchen-gauge and toilet-gauge. Garden-farming gauge, for the win.
Very well done!
Great idea! Beautiful garden anyway 👍👍
Thank you! 😊
got a link to the pvc garden valve you're using? Possibly the flex hose and connector too if you have them, but looking for that white valve with a nice handle
I just use a metal screw on “Y” or 4 gang splitter on the original faucet to split my yard water. 😊
But what if I want to completely change where the faucet gets turned on? Ie: instead of turning on the 2nd faucet at the same base, I want to turn it on and off where your wife will access it- is that do-able?
Yep of course, you can turn on/off via the 2nd faucet at "point B" where the 2nd garden hose is hooked 😉
@@HanDIYman007 So does that mean you would NOT have the 2nd tap at point A, just the pipe attachment as you had originally? So that way the water would always be in the pvc pipe extension & then be able to turn on the one tap only at point B in the other area of yard? Can’t quite work it out in my mind…?
I really wanna try this. We have one outdoor spigot for a somewhat large property. No access to water one one side of the house unless I use a 100 ft hose. Any other advice for a DIYer with no previous experience with pvc piping?? 🙏🏼
Would the hose need to be turned on 24/7 in order to turn it on/off at the new location? Because I always thought that wasn’t safe to do
If you leave the new source hose bib on at all times and the new hose bib off at point B, would the hose material connection piece get too much pressure? I have a similar setup and would like to leave the water source on at all times so I can simply use the new hose bib whenever needed. But, I would think the water pressure would eventually kill that hose section you have there.
I’m guessing the water pressure coming out of that new faucet isn’t the greatest, but nice job anyway!🤙🏼
Pressure drop was very negligible since I followed the same diameter as the source pipe 😉 Thanks for watching 👍
I use this everyday and water pressure has never been a problem 😊
Why two faucets when you can use a Y
