I PLASTERED MY OLD BRICK FIREPLACE / Easy Step by Step Tutorial
Вставка
- Опубліковано 2 гру 2022
- In this video I share the process of how I plastered my fireplace that originally is made of brick underneath but was covered with a custom mantle when we purchased the home. My intentions was to always have a more modern, fresh look to the fireplace and get rid of the brick but without removing the bricks! Check out how easy this process was and FYI..don't use any effect paints until you prime your surface..lesson learned! You'll see in the video.

Thank you!! 🤍
Beautiful ❤️
Thank you so much!! 🤍
Liz love your outcome I did something similar but instead of using the Valspar product I used joint compound directly over my brick. It took three huge buckets but it ended up looking amazing
Thank you lovely! I’ll have to check yours out, I was originally thinking the JC stuff but found the Venetian plaster product and just went for it lol! 🤍
Gorgeous! Did you glue the cement board to the brick pad in front or did you use screws?
❤❤❤
🤍🤍🤍
so, did you use the venetian plaster or just skip to the feather finish?
This project turned out amazing! Almost makes you wanna remove the two small side pieces of moulding- what do you think? Love it Liz❣️ Kudos to Dave too. Ciao friend
Thank you and we honestly can’t because the whole room has it all around and if you saw the entire space as a whole it would look weird removing them so we had to leave them there but yes, it would have looked even better. 🤗🤍
So you didn’t use the vesper plaster?
So nice and modern new fireplace! What about the floors now? Lol
Thank you! The floors were already done when we moved in, not sure what you mean? I stained them a pretty walnut stain. The floor was not compromised at all in this project If that’s what you mean.
So I'm confused - did you use the venetian plaster or feather finish?
Both
Did you seal it?
Yes
you guys need an interior firm.
I wish! 🤍
