That is how we grew up. You never threw anything away, wasted food or learn to make a meal based on discounted items or what was on sale. This is how you learn to substitute based on what was in the kitchen. Sale or discount items helped you to taste new food based on the money you had to spend. Be creative because times are getting tough. I haven't bought spam in a long time but it is in the kitchen 😋 😂
