In one of your points, re-watching videos that calm you: you’re actually one crafter that calms me. I love your voice and you’ve got such a soothing and optimistic way about you. Your talent and lovely personality really speak to crafters of all levels, whether complete novices, or experienced. Thank you so much for all your content and sharing your love of crafting with us, Joie. :-)
She's one of my absolute favorites!
Wow, that's so generous!!!!❤️❤️❤️
💜💜💜🥰
Whose videos do I watch over and over and over again? Well that would be your videos Joie. I’m subscribed to many other artist’s videos, but you are by far my all time favorite! I lost my husband in April, and rewatching your videos has been so comforting. I’m not able to bring my self to be creative right now. But watching your videos keeps me feeling connected to my creative self. Thank you so much for sharing your happy place, your tips and your talent.
Aww, sending hugs Rose 💜💜💜💜
I love to listen to audio books when I am crafting and doing chores. I think a lot about everything so I focus on the story and relax into crafting, gardening or even organizing around the house. I love putting together my " kits". I have many stages of projects into kits. My family and I go to our cabin just about every weekend all year around. My projects (kits) need to be organized and ready for travel. I love it. Thank you for all you do.
I would have to say that there are a couple of your videos that are my “reset” videos. I can be really be hard on myself so when I feel like I’m stuck, I watch a video. I especially like the ones where you tell us to “give it a go”, to try something new. Gail’s videos are very relaxing too. It’s your calm voices and also how you are comfortable with the process.
Right you are. Decluttering and reorganizing my "happy place" has made all the difference. I'm on back on track. Your "happy place" makes me happy too. It feels so warm and cozy. Love the lights! Nice to see your partner helping you out. Looks like he did a great job. Thanks! Joie.
He did a fantastic job 🥰
Oh you are wonderful! I’m Love to watch and rewatch Camila craft room with Julie over and over and over and over
I know Julie too!!👍🥰💜
Love your ideas centered around feeling good and little self care indulgences. A gentle, positive environment is so uplifting and inspires creativity. Thank you.
You're very welcome 👍❤️
Hi joie:
Really good job reorganizing! I think it’s so functional. It takes so much rearranging and buying containers, clear folders and boxes to store everything. Never had this problem before paper crafting and junk journaling. But I’m not stopping anytime soon. As far as getting in a slump, I never do because of you and the other wonderful UA-camrs I watch. Everyone is so talented in their own creative and artistic way. I have so much creating all by myself. I do appreciate you all for sharing your time. 💜😎🇺🇸
And I appreciate you 🥰🥰🥰
I watch and re-watch your videos! They really help me get unstuck!! Thank you! ☺💙 Your craft room is very inspiring. Now I have to get busy and start to organize my space. Thank you again for the push!! 😉
You're very welcome 👍🥰
ditto on video(s) that calms me - that's you and your channel. Your voice is calming, modulated for teaching/training and inspiring. Thank you so very much.
Awww, so kind 💜💜💜
Thank you much for this vid. My favorite go-to is making tags. I have more tags than I will ever use. I love them because they are my colors, my ephemera. I like quietly beautiful florals, animals, smiling faces, leaves and vines. My craft room currently looks just like your things when you were clearing out your craft room. I am embarrassed to say it has been like that for several months. You have made me feel 'sparked with joy' listening to you. I appreciate you.
I appreciate you too 💜💜🥰👍
Awesome, your tidied art room is worth more than a thumbs up, and the 5 tips are why I keep coming back. Thank you for the clarity you leave in me which is to say my block won't be there much longer. So grateful for you. Love and light.
Aww, so kind....💜💜💜
Your space is very cozy! Wow,you have lots of stuff. Have a super fantastic weekend. Sending love and big hugs Sherry 🌷🌷🌷
Oh my, watch out next week for an even bigger reveal 🤭🤭
Hi Joie. I want to echo what everyone else has said - you are a great resource for "unsticking" creative blocks and I do rewatch one or more of your videos whenever I'm in a creative funk. Your voice, your wisdom, the topics you share are always so helpful. So thanks, Joie. And cheers from Denver CO!
Wow!!!!! Thanks so, so much Deb, waving to you in Denver, waving to everyone!!!!😁🥰🥰🥰💜
I find your videos inspirational and they always help get me out of my slump. Thank you!
Great feedback, thanks!!🥰
Love your tidy craft desk, it’s true to keep a happy tidy space, my room needs sorting, I’ve hoarded so much stuff it’s overwhelming and so I walk away. An anchor video is so true and this will certainly be one I watch again. Thank you for your inspiration and sharing your crafting with us xx
You're very welcome 🥰
Thanks for sharing your tips for getting out of a slump. I love watching your videos & getting ideas. You have so much to share.
Very generous!!💜💜💜
You have a couple of pocket videos that are anchor videos for me. I also love Sunnyside Journals 30 minutes of my day videos as anchor videos. I particularly like watching you and shabby dabby doo dah when I'm relaxing and giving my full attention at night before bed. I then rewatch the video when I'm ready to play!
Great approach!!💜
I love how you fixed your craft room.y daughter is going to help me fix mine. I don't have a lot of space because it's also my sewing room. I see small things in there. When I make quilts as I get to bigger pieces I use my dinning room table. It works well, just need to fix my shelves. Thanks for sharing your space in with us. See you soon 👍🤗🤗
See you soon, definitely!! Thanks so much for sharing!🥰❤️
Loved the unlocking the blocking tips and the tour complete with tips! Hope you are doing well.
Thank you for addressing "creative block." I have done artistic things with my hands since I was a child- from creative writing to painting, sewing to crocheting, but due to personal circumstances- for the past 15 years or so, I had not even been able to produce even a poem! Long story short- about 5 years ago, I discovered and was rejuvenated by paper craft tutorials on UA-cam; first through snail mail projects, then junk journalling. I soon learned having to search for supplies when I wanted to do a project dampened the creative energy, and that organization is the first step to keeping that energy flowing. I sometimes get "blocks" in the middle of a project, so I will definitely try your other tips.
Wise words Denise, thanks so much for sharing!!😁🥰
Lovely video Joie. I love your cosy craft desk. Yours are my go to for videos that calm and inspire me, with your soothing voice, clear instructions and all the various, easy pockets and envelopes to make. I also love how you play with various paints and book pages.
Awww, thanks so much... lots more like that to come 😁😁🥰👍
Love your craftroom. And so kind of your partner helping redecorating the room. Loos great. And so nice to know where your sitting and what equipments you have around you. So inspiring. And your tips to get rid of the blockage are so simple and easy to do. Just needed this. And you are one the few crafters that always calm me and give peace of mind. Love your accent, way of explaining, your optimism. Thx. Greetz from Holland.
It's an absolute pleasure Lotte, always a joy to chat with you. I have told my partner what you said, he is very happy!😁👍💜
What a helpful video. Very sensible tips. I love your new craft room layout. One suggestion is to label your little boxes of themed items that you have on the shelf above your desk. Makes it even easier to grab the right box.
You have a very calming reassuring presence that makes me feel that everything is fine! Thank you xx
That's such a great idea Clare, yes I need to get some labelling done!! Thanks so much for your lovely comment as well!❤️❤️🥰👍
You're the UA-camr that I more than likely go to if I have creative block!😄🌞💛
Aww .. ❤️❤️❤️
Yes, my anchor videos, I watch Northern Mudlarkers - totally different than journal making, but a unique hobby, sometimes using their finds and making jewelry.🤗💕🦋
Variety is good!!
Thank you Joie for your excellent tips on how to get over that slump. I find your videos very relaxing and I have done quite a few things lately that I haven't tried before, and was very satisfied with the result. Your craft room looks wonderful, you are lucky to have a large room to have everything close to your working space. Thanks again, keep up the good work, you are an inspiration to us all. Kind regards, Evelyn
Thanks so much Evelyn, I really appreciate that!!🥰🥰
Thank you Joie, this was brilliant. I've just started another journal, (Peter Rabbit and friends) , front cover is done - all fabric and lots of embroidery which I loved doing. I sorted out the journal pages, 4 signatures with 8 pages to each, sewed round the edges of some of the pages, cut out pockets and tuck spots and fussy cuts - all very exciting. Then I stopped. Could absolutely not go anywhere, no more ideas, nothing but a completely blank mind. This has now been for 2 days and all I've been doing is playing around with little bits and pieces and achieving nothing much. Then I switched on this morning, saw the 'no sew' pockets video of yours, made a few of those and then came back to the PC and found your super video about clearing a creative block. This was so timely and incredibly useful. I can't thank you enough not just for the tips but also the clear and calming way you have explaining them. Thanks a million.
Aww, you're very, very welcome Lynda 😁👍💜
This is extremely inspirational Joie. I did tidy up my craft room last week, re-organised my desk and it feels so much better. I love your cozy desk too 😍😍and your way of organising the few little pages you own 🤣🤣🤣wonderful space!! Thanks for sharing it with us ❤️🦋
..thanks so much....and some of your new digitals are sitting in one of those baskets on my desk. I'm using some pages in my next project....👍😁💜🌿
@@joiedefi oh wow! thank you!! I am so so excited to see what you'll make with them!! thank you Joie :)
Hi Joie. Like you ideas. Like your craft space. Enjoyed hanging out with you this afternoon. thanks.
Thanks very much Diane! I'm really pleased you enjoyed it! 👍🥰
Cheers to you……..you will be amazed at the room opened up in your mind for creative ideas!,,,,,,,
You're very right, cheers to you too Rhoda!!😁👍💜
Great tips. Really live the brown packing paper with gold paint, so pretty!
Aww, thank you!🥰🥰🥰
Watching again. I found some packaging paper. Great tips.❤️🤗🤗🤗❤️
Ah, you see. Your instructional videos are so calming and make me happy. I'd struggle to pick a single anchor. 😂
Fair point 🤭🤭🤭💜
Dear Joie, I emjoy watching you create. Your ideas are wonderful. Please put some of your artwork on the walls. That would make the studio a celebration of your contributions to us ans would definitaly make your studio a warme and comfortable place. Keep putting out your amazing work.
What a lovely suggestion Olga!! Thank you so much!!💜😁🌿
Love to see and hear how you think en where you craft. Move to something else resonates the best. I always move to cooking. Another hobby. Thanks for the little view in personal thoughts.
Thanks Martine 💜💜
you make me feel happy and calm and they makes me feel good...and your voice is so soothing and i love your videeos the most!
Awww, so kind!!💜💜💜
Very inviting gives a feeling of light and airiness encouraging you to try to put your feeling into creation with paint, paper what ever you are feeling at that moment. Thank you for sharing.
You're very welcome!!❤️
Greetings from Calgary, Wonderful video as always great tips and a Fantastic craft room tour, Thank you 😊 I love watching craft videos, reading craft books and walking through our Michaels craft store when I'm feeling blocked! Your Craft Room is Inspiring, Brilliant!
Oooh wish we had Michaels 🥰🥰
Awesomeness! I love your ideas! The shell above your desk is great! I'm still working on my craft room. I take a long time crafting too. Thank you for sharing! God bless! Love hugs and prayers my friend! ✝️😇💜🤗🙏✝️
Hugs to you too!!❤️❤️❤️
Omg, Joei, thank you so much, I couldn’t believe it when one of my videos was one of your anchor videos! Thank you, you’ve made my week! Great video and ideas here btw. Love to you, hope you’re doing great x
Thanks Tina🥰👍💜
I love your new room. And I love your ideas presented on this video.
Awww thanks so much!!🥰🥰🥰
This video was very calming and rewarding. Thank you for your care. 🌈😂👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏼
Thanks so much, that is just lovely to hear 👍😁❤️
Your discussion and tour have been most inspiring. I am in a total slump and will take a couple of your suggestions to heart. A rearrangement of my craft supplies and reordering of the top of my table is a good beginning. Your space is so calming and you have all the appropriate bits at hand in your new arrangement. Just lovely. Thank you for sharing. I’ll give myself permission to work out the matters that have me stymied. 😊❤️❤️❤️
Sounds great!💜👍
Thank you Joie - that was excellent. Love your new craft room. ❤️👍
Thanks so much!❤️👍💜
Excellent video tonight. Thank you. I LOVE your craft space.
Thanks so much!!🥰👍
This is a very useful and charmingly personal video. Your tips are excellent and I’m sure I will turn to this video whenever I feel creatively blocked. Thanks for recognizing the need, taking time to reflect on your own process, and sharing it with us. Job well done! 👏🙏
Ooooh thanks very much!!💜🥰
Hoping you are doing better. Had to come back and rewatch some of your videos. Listening to you helps loosen those bricks making this block...thank you again☮️💖☯️
🤗❤️
This was a wonderful video! Sooo Very helpful!!!! Loved the suggestions for ending the block especially “walk toward something” not away!
The tour of your craft room was inspiring, as well. It is great to see common supplies one probably already has being utilized for organizing.
One thing very helpful in all of your videos is that you show how ordinary supplies can make extraordinary craft products. When watching many craft videos, one can easily feel they must break the piggy bank to buy all the “stuff” they must have to make art. It is so refreshing to see beautiful pages made from simple, ordinary products.
Thanks for all you are doing for all of us out here in paper play land!
Fabulous feedback, thanks so much Andie!! And I totally understand what you mean about spending money....it can really add up!💕
Well you know that I watch you when I need a break or need to relax and be distracted! Thankyou so much for sharing your space with us, your desk looks really cozy. AND I have one of them fan brush things in my make up kit……never had a clue what I was supposed to do with it….fan my eyelashes? Bronze my nose hairs?!…..highlight my ears!.. NOW I can rehome it as the official splatting tool! My unblock tool is that I try to take a photo of all my projects so that if I have a block I can look back through them and remember something I did which I loved making (as all my projects are made as gifts). Xx💜🐝
Great strategy!! Definitely for bronzing nose hairs 🤣🤣🤣💜👍😁
Ooo Joie, what a beautiful and inspiring space. I love it💞
Hehe 💜💜💜🥰
I thought your take on creative block was very apt. I have to say I try and do small things to keep my creativity going. Love your craft room nice and light and calming. Thanks for the video.
You're very welcome Maria 💜🥰
I did enjoy this. I think you did a great job on your craft room. Thank you also for the tips and videos on how to break the creative block.
You're very welcome 💜
I appreciate your very useful tips and suggestions. Thanks for sharing. Your newly improved work area looks great. Enjoy!
Thanks so much Misty-Dawn!!😁💜
Wading through treacle is spot on! It also describes fibromyalgia very well, especially 'thinking through treacle ' on brain fog days. Lol I'm busy reorganising into new storage atm, chaos🙈. Oh yes, master boards are a great no brainer for blocks. Yes, distracting the brain really works. Oh good idea about revisiting a favourite supply or technique, I will definitely try that. Lol you're videos are definitely my calm place, I love Tina too. I watch her every morning with my cuppa to get the creative juices flowing. Exercising and walking is something I miss now I can't do them, the beach is the best for me or autumn with the colours. Noooo, don't make me imagine no craft area 😱. Honestly I couldn't do my January sort out because of surgery and I've struggled creatively all year. It just clears my mind and the ideas really start to flow. Nothing like a great big tidy to complete that creative loop. I've recently put lots of stuff in sweet jars onto my windowsills and seeing supplies help creatively and they look pretty. Ooh lovely brushes 😍 as a painter brushes make me so happy. Lol you're sorted for Arteza stuff 🙊. Your area s lovely and cozy, thanks for showing us. This will be a great anchor video for future blocks! Tfs and have a great week 💖💖💖
As you say... nothing like a great big tidy 🤭👍😁💜
O joie, I just love to listen to you. It brings me down to the ground. Love Susi
Hooray!! I love that!!!❤️❤️😁👍
I watch your videos because they motivate and inspire me, and I absolutely love your voice 😏
Awwww, that's so lovely of you 👍🥰
I got my fairy lights out as well 🥳. I’m a huge Christmas fan anyway and have these kind of lights in every room so why not on my desk 😂. It is always a bit of a nightmare to organise a desk and room so you have everything ‘on the grabby side’. I have a huge desk hubby made for me so I separated it in 3 departments: on the right side: sewing and sewing machine, middle part for making ephemera and on the left side for putting journals together. Then I asked my hubby: but where shall I do my painting? So he built another desk so I am now working in a L-shaped desk and I feel like a princess 🎈😍
What a fantastic hubby!!!👍🥰
So happy to have found your channel. I enjoy watching your process, you have a gentle way about you. Lovely journals, great ideas and techniques, very interesting.
Thanks Lorraine, welcome to my channel, welcome to the family!!😁💜
Thank you so much Joie for this video and sharing your personal story. Your tips are great, your voice calms me and I really like to listen to your what is a junk journal video, that will be my go to video when I hit that creative block. Take care ♥️xx
Oh Christine, so lovely to see you again...and you're very welcome! 🥰🥰🥰💜
Great tips on how to handle the creative block. I'm definitely need to work on my craft room. Maybe after "Santa" is done making things for Christmas. Lol
LOL, I'm going to blitz mine over the holidays.....🤣🤣
I LOVE your crafty space!! I love the colors and everything is right where you can find it. Thank you so much for your block tips, they are most helpful! 😍
Fantastic.... thanks so much Pam, more disclosure next week too!!!
@@joiedefi, yay!!! Can’t wait, Joie!! ❤️🥰
Loved, loved your space, Yes, your video definitely helped to get those creative juices going. Thank you so much for sharing. You are an inspiration to all of us.
Thanks so much!!❤️
Great tips, thanks, and enjoy your lovely revamped space!
Thanks very much!!💜
Thank you so very much for putting this together. I'm sure we all have been in a "slump" from time to time. Your methods for helping us move on, are ones I feel are quite useful. I must say your calming voice always cheers me up and makes me want to get crafting. Loving the new space; looks like most all of your supplies are near to hand. Great job and I'm looking forward to all the projects to come from such a lovely space.😊
....such an inspiring comment Linda, thank you, as always...💜💜💜
I am in the midst of sorting out my craft room and have reached the point where everything just seems too hard. This video has inspired me to at least sort out my desk. An uncluttered desk works for me in clearing a creative block.
I understand.... it's that sticky point. Let's get sorted and clear that block!!👍😁🥰
Great video and I echo the previous comment from Jamie...your videos Joie are my anchor videos, It is your voice and the approach you use in crafting that makes me feel happy and brings me into a "good place" even when I don't have a blockage in crafting, I seem to go to your channel just for calmness . I have watched your channel numerous times just to look at the pretty results and I seem to learn or pick up on some tip that I missed in previous watchings. Thank you for all your ideas. I have watched Tina's channel but always seem to come back to your's!! I enjoyed seeing how you have re-done parts of your craft room!!
Wow Debbie, that's just amazing! Thank you so much, I really appreciate this!!🥰🥰🥰
Great video Joie! Love your suggestions and your tour! How refreshing! I usually go to basic collaging when I get in a slump!
Nice way to get over a slump Nancy 💜
Joie, Absolutely loved this video, it has been so helpful to me. The art space looks so inviting, loved the lights and plants, they look brilliant. Thankyou. Isbel
You're very, very welcome Isbel 🥰🥰🥰
A very useful and inspiring video Joie, thank you so much for sharing your personal thoughts and tips for us to try. Love you new craft space, it looks so peaceful... 📖 💜
Thanks so much Sas, that's great to hear! Welcome to my channel, welcome to this happy place!!🥰👍😁
I just love it! Thanks so much for the lovely tour!
You're very welcome 👍
I have a craft room but I sit at the table in living room as it’s much brighter there and I have company. So I’m spread out a bit. You have a lot of paint 🎨! I’m always getting in a slump, but going back to basics is a good idea, I think I overwhelm myself sometimes. I also think a large glass of red wine might help, haha. 🤭🤪😇
Haha, nice idea about the wine!!🤣👍💜
Okay... First, well done 👍🙂 You put a lot of work and thought into this. Many will benefit.
Next, I have to admit I've unfortunately never had any sort of block in anything I do. I say unfortunately because I never stop thinking, in fact I involuntarily think of multiple things at the same time - imagine in your head counting 1, 2, 3... and reciting the alphabet while reading a book - simultaneously. I multitask mentally. Without medication I'm not able to stop thinking so could not otherwise fall asleep. I'd be dead from sleep deprivation in about 9 days without it. TMI? Hope not. My point is, *a block can be a good thing* because it can reset your mind, like a reboot. Something I can't do. On the plus side, I'll have to live forever to make everything I think of creating.
I've always found refreshing my work space occasionally makes me feel good about that space. I like what you've done and the only thing I might add, if there's room, is a comfy chair to relax in and have some coffee and read. Thanks for sharing. You're always a pleasure to watch. You're candid, authentic, relatable, sincere, informative, considerate, and your desire to help others is commendable. I gain something every time. ❤️ I look forward to hearing from you next Thursday evening. 🙂
You are so right about the chair...it also squeaks. Such amazing feedback.....👍🥰💜💜💜
Love how your craft room is coming along. Would love to see more as you continue along. Thank you for your ideas for dealing with a creative slump. I’m in one right now and it is frustrating for sure. My desk does need a clean up, so I’m going to start there.
That's a great place to start. I'll share some more behind the scenes next week. Have a good weekend Joy!! Let's do it!!❤️
@@joiedefi Have a good weekend as well!
This is such an inspirational video Joie. Thank you soo much for sharing 🙏🏻 I’ve been in an awful slump recently and couldn’t even find the mojo to watch any you tube videos! I’m slowly finding my mojo again and enjoying watching some videos! So much of what you said resonated with me, so thank you! 🙏🏻🌸🦋🌼
I thought I hadn't seen much of you....hope you are fully recovered very soon. Sending hugs 💜💜💜
Seeing your craftroom I realize that I have to stop buying stuff and keeping stuff for some other time….. I have more than I can use in a lifetime to be honest. So I’m off to my workable now. Thanks for sharing
Great insight!!!🥰
Excellent tips. I often refer back to my favorite artists for inspiration and learning. Always learning from you. 😊
Thanks Pam!!! That's fantastic!❤️
Great tips joie. Love your new craft room!
Thanks very much 🥰🥰🥰
Thanks for these tips. I actually have been doing some of these as i am quite new to this art. Your videos are my most watched ones. Love your renewed craft room.
Awww thanks so much! I'm sharing some more next week.... ❤️😁👍🥰
You really made some great points on how to clear a creative block. I've really been struggling since 2020. Covid just about took me out and I haven't truly gotten on top of things since. I've come to realize one thing for sure and its that I watch too many people on YT!!!! I started watching the collaborations and oh my goodness there are just so many people out there with wonderful ideas! I watch and think I want to do that and that and that......and I wind up doing nothing. Then I get depressed. Its crazy. So, I'm having to make myself back away from so much YT time. Hopefully, that will help with my craft time. Your room is very nice. This brings me to another prooblem. I'm changing rooms also and am about half way there. I am handicapped so I'm limited in what I can do by myself. My husband is very busy and I hate to keep asking him to move this and so on... So, there you have my problems. I'm going to have to get him in there to get me completely moved. I was looking at some of your organization ideas. Love the little containers with the smaller items on the shelves! Thank you so much for all of your ideas and for sharing them with us!!!!!! I didn't mean to write a book!!!!!
You can write a book anytime Betty ... I read every word. 🥰🥰🥰
I've always loved how cozy your desk is. Absolutely love the twinkly lights 😊. A bit of a confession, i bought myself a set of twinkly lights 😊 lol!! I think your craft room looks great. Good idea to place all your heavy paints and such on the bureau. Why don't you keep your sewing machine on the little desk next to your main desk for easier access? I know you use it quite often. Thanks for sharing your lovely creative space.
Great suggestion Jania!! I'll think about that one! Twinkly lights...you can't beat them 🤭❤️❤️❤️
Everything you said sounds totally relatable to me!! Thanks ❤️ Your videos and your voice have been my anchor for so long 😊
Awww, thanks so much!!!💜🥰🥰🥰
I very much enjoyed this video. One of the things I really like about the junk Journal Community is when people open up and share about their own life. I always felt close to you but this has really been helpful. Your suggestions and ideas for breaking a mental block a creative block are very good ones and I really do appreciate them. I will give them a try. I have really been working on my space for crafting. I have found that having more ephemera made ahead that I can draw from when I'm making a junk Journal is very helpful however I have to find a way to store them so they're easy to get at and I can remember what I've got because I have a very bad memory these days. I love your channel joie so appreciate all that you shared
...and I absolutely appreciate you Judie!!! 💜💜💜
Well,my goodness I enjoyed this so very much. Thank you!
You're very welcome!💜
Love your organization, still working on mine. I usually watch videos while I craft, mostly listening to others talk. If the video is teaching me a new technique I spend my time watching instead of crafting. 75/25 on which I am doing. If I get stuck I go do housework and that gets my block gone- lol. Anything to not have to dust.
Hehe 😁🤭🤭💜👍
You are my inspiration dearest Joie 😘 you are my mentor and Diva. Love you ❤️ God Bless you🙏💝
Bless you too Benita, thank you so, so much for your lovely comment!💜🥰
Love your desk and how it is clear and warm. I have been thinking of reorganising my desk, corner of our study which I share with hubby. I do have a lot in a small space as I scrapbook and began making journals last year. Supplies do tend to take over and I will begin with bringing most used within easy reach. I love shelving above as I can just reach or stand to grab a container. TFS
Yup, shelving is great for reducing desk clutter!!👍💜😁
Very good advise. You've done an exquisite job on your studio! Bravo🐞💕❤️
Aw, thanks so much!
Thank you for all the tips! I've been thinking about how to better organize my art room. Time to get to it!
Absolutely!!💜👍
These tips are great! I don’t always have time for long projects -so I have taken up collage -which has helped -clearing my desk -helps-( sometimes I seem to have a tiny space to work on 😬 with everything cluttered on it! ) TFS ❤️ your voice is relaxing to listen to 🤔
I agree about the ever shrinking desk!! Thanks so much for popping by to watch!!😁👍💜
Good tips! I love working with metallic paints as well! Sometimes I'll even use this sparkly clear gesso, I got on sale, awhile ago, to add sparkle, to collage!
Most of the time, my biggest block, is space or too much to work with, and lack of focus! So I just pack a few things in a tote bag or back pack, like paints, brush, water crayons, glue, pens, papers, stickers, and a happy planner, or book, and take it with me in the car, and park somewhere, overlooking the lake, and work from what I have with me... I have a tendency to wanna take too much!!
My latest fun watercolor idea, I discovered, when I went to the thrift store, is to look for really nice faux leather, or nicely bound, lay flat, Bible study, Devotionals (as I cannot bring myself to do Art, only highlghting, in my BIBLES), I can read, study, highlight the scriptures, and then draw, stamp, and paint, over the rest of the page, to represent, what I've learned, or something to help focus on those scriptures!
These books, as most, are cheap, fairly new, beautifully bound, and have good quality pages to use with most media!! And I'm doing my quiet time with God, Bible studies, and even praying, throughout the process, as well!! Fun, functional, and helpful!!
So many great ideas!!!👍😁💜
Enjoyed this video Joie. I am in the middle of organizing my craft area and yes, it is a mess, several items that I like for organizing are those vertical hard plastic stands for storing file folders and magazines in an upright position. This prevents my searching for magazines that are stacked up, flat, on a shelf and heavy. Secondly, I have a lot of fabric pieces, scraps, ribbons, etc. I store them in those foldable cube, cloth bins by style. I have them on a short bookshelf. Easy to grab a bin and look through. Can be used for sorts. Take care!
Great organisation Karen! I might have to adopt your ideas!!👍🥰💜
Great video and tips 😍 thank you so mutch for sharing 🙏🌺🌻🌼🌹🌞🏵❤
Hehe, it was about time I guess 🤭💜
Thanks for sharing your tips I actually started "cleaning up" last night to get rid of all my random bits of my desk still going..
Well done Karen!! It's starting that's most difficult.... let's do this!!😁👍💜 See you soon!
Beautiful, great job !!!
Thanks so much!!🥰
Yep! YOUR videos are among those few that I watch while I craft if even just to be crafting with someone else! You, Rachel, Tina, Barbara and Gayle are among my go-tos. Thanks for this video, Joie. Your inspiration is always welcome!
You're very welcome 👍😁🥰🥰🥰
Your space is amazing, I m constantly sorting and re sorting as I have a small space which I seem to make a real mess. Love you videos Thank you 😊
You're very welcome
I live in an apartment and the living room has to be my living room, dining room and studio. Trying to have all three functions just didn't work. So, out went the couch and in came shelving...lots of shelving! I feel more like an artist as the focus is increasingly on being able to be more organized with better access to my materials. I tend to listen to old audio books and radio dramas when stitching or doing paper crafts while David Bowie is a necessity for gel printing!
Ooh I love those audio suggestions!! 👍💜
This was a very helpful video for me, Joie. I do have many piles of projects coming at me on the floor around my craft table and I do have piles of books on my floor like you mentioned in this video. Many of the books I have ordered are books you suggested for use in junk journal projects, but I now need to let go of many books I won't use in junk journal projects, such as novels I read over 10 or 20 years ago. Anyway, I know what I need to do. Getting started on the clean-up is my most challenging part. Your craft area looks fantastic and I look forward to seeing what you create in the next few months to come.
I'm sharing more next week Diana, thanks very much for your amazing words and for sharing. It's so helpful for us all. ❤️❤️
Thank you, this video helped me a lot! Love your channel! Kristina
Welcome to my channel Kristina, welcome to this happy place!!❤️😁
