- Got out on Rice Lake, Ontario for some Kawartha Lakes gold! Most fish were caught using rattle traps along weedlines. Tons of action and a great multi-species day, this time of year you never know what will hit your bait around the weeds!

North end of the lake? there's a decent hole about half a kilometer from captains marina that we jigs for eyes and crappie!
We were catching em all over the lake! Had to search but once we figured em out it was lights out
The lake runs east and west, there is no north end, there is a north side and south side
What kind of baits did you guys use

We fished all around Rice, pretty much any weedline you can find holds em!

Yep I always run fluoro leads for walleye, usually 10 to 15lb seaguar

I love throwing topwaters in the morning/evening, and then jerkbaits, crankbaits, and spinnerbaits work great for a lot of species throughout the day. Hope this helps!
