I dont see why youd have to remove it unless you live in an apartment, I cant even remove my pack on the Beast so aint no thing to me I charge it on the bike, Im only charging this thing outside anyway, and once I build a Ginormous pack than even more so I aint taking it out or bringing it in. By the time I build the pack i wanna have on this bike for range and power, it will be enough lithium to take the whole block out so im good with it staying on the bike. the gas cap has a connector to charge with I just gotta run it
@@ChrisCrossingWires1212 its just nice to have a way to pop out a battery or swap it quick for a track ride. A lot of bikes are on 120v slow charges so it makes it less practical for long distance riding. With the dirt bike scene a lot of peeps have one battery charging while the other is out for racing. Its funny to me how electric cars have even gotten past the average gas 300 mile. Some are hitting 400 on batteries, but most motorcycles are getting around 50 miles when ridden like a actual bike.
Great video! Thanks for making it! Do you happen to know the dimensions of the battery compartment? Im going to buy one but i would like to know how big of a battery i could fit inside the compartment. Id like to know so that i could do a similar mod like you did. But i want to make sure that any battery that i find would fit. Thanks ahain!!
Can you tell me the discharge rate of the motor, please? I want to make sure that the battery I make/get will have enough discharge current so that it won’t get damaged by being discharged too fast. Are there specs for standard discharge and maximum discharge rates for this motor? Thank you so much again! You have been a total life saver!!!
No you dont have to just depends on how far you go with power levels I ran up to 20kw on the stock motor with keeping the phase amps below 350 got up to about 85mph on 72v could reach a higher top speed with higer voltage as far as acceleration the torque as i said those are based on the discharge amps and phase amps and you cant go crazy with that or youll burn it up and obviously thats how fast it accelerates but top speeds you could most likely do 100mph top on this stock motor at about 96v maybe 108vs with low phase amps and field weakening but if you really want some raw power definitely upgrade it to at least a 5kw. Im putting a 12kw on it soon and Im gonna run that at 108v about 65kw
@ do you happen to know where I can get a battery that big to fit the bike because I’ve been looking everywhere and the company doesn’t have anything bigger yet.
I honestly don’t know I heard they have prismatic pouch cells I bought mine with no battery because I already had one and because I build them also so was no need. I don’t think they are high discharge maybe 150amps max so if you plan to modify I’d get another pack.
@@ChrisCrossingWires1212 I have a lead acid battery that they only had available. Is there a way to make that battery go faster or something I can buy for it?
This bike doors not have easy battery for swapping out if you needed a removable easy acess pack this ain’t the bike this is the bike to add a crazy large pack that can get so much range you don’t have to charge daily
Great Video! Keep up the awesome content!
I hope they evolve that frame to allow easy battery swapping like the Kawasaki Ninja e-1 looks like you could fit a bigger battery in there too.
