There IS a good video about separating eggs. Just use a standard funnel and the white falls through the nozzle and the yolk stays in the funnel. I saw it the other day.

Have loved watching your videos on here. I spent my early childhood in Germany ( Duisburg) and German ways got into my blood ( my mother was German). I remember this style of Cheesecake. So nice not to have a biscuit base. I do remember this style of cheesecake with raisins in. Do you think raisins would work in this cake? Quark always makes me smile. I came to England in 1968 ( still at school then) but you just couldn't buy quark anywhere here then! 😊

you can also make your own. Shred 3-4 potatoes in a cloth lined bowl. Wring out the potatoes into another bowl. Carefully drain off the water and you will see this whitish muck at the bottom. That is your starch. Use the potatoes for pancakes, hash browns whatever. Hope this helps.

I have a request, do you have an authentic recipe for peach kuchen? My ex-sister-in-law who is of German decent used to make an incredible peach kuchen, but she and my brother divorced almost 40 years ago when I was only 10 and I've lost touch with her. I've found a lot of different versions and even tried making it but it doesn't come out the same and is disappointing. Hers was so creamy and custardy and delicious, a true comfort food. I'd love for you to make a peach kuchen if you're able.
